WB took the stance that whatever problems the first movie faced was because they were made by Zack Snyder or were too serious/dark and so purposely tried to distance the next couple movies from what they thought as the director's influence. This coupled with the constant reshoots created an environment where the people that liked the first couple movies hated the new ones, and the people the studio were trying to attract with the new movies never gave a crap because they already had their fill with the MCU and were actually looking for something different, maybe a bit more darker.
That's why movies like the Joker, that were serious and dark, was a success, whereas WW84 or Shazam 2 were big bombs. This despite WB doing everything to make their movies more like the Disney's ones. Even the Russos brothers confessed that they convinced Kevin Feige to be more darker and experimental with their movies otherwise the public would end up being fed up with the usual superhero fanfare.
Basically WB kept trying to chase trends but found themselves always in the back of the bus.
Let's swap Marvel and DC places. Now, imagine if the debut for Marvel's big team, The Avengers, was basically a shitty ripoff of the Justice League with embarrassing attempts at humor and actors changing shape from one scene to another. No one likes it, good.
And now, imagine that, Disney/Marvel, in their infinite wisdom, decide to not give Iron Man a sequel or Captain America a movie. The movies you get instead are [INSERT C-LISTER HERE] which flops because it was released right after Justice League 3, a spin-off about C-Lister's villain who nobody gives a shit about, a movie about Loki's girlfriend and three other females who nobody gives a shit about, and a R-rated sequel to the Thunderbolts movie that nobody goes to see because the last one sucked arse and it's a pandemic anyway.
He also was involved in the production of other three.
>most successful movie is Aquaman >the one that was the most Marvel-like and faraway from Snyder's style

They can speak underwater, though. They spoke like dolphins in ZSJL. Wan just translated that to English for his own movie for expediency sake.

Which was complete bullshit. Wan only said that to help his friend. There is literally no difference with the whedon cut. The snydercut proved that

The difference was about how Joss Whedon wanted Aquaman and Mera to act. Whedon was basically trying to take over James Wan's movie, using the argument that Wan's movie needed fit what his reshoots added.
It's incredible how people still going to capeshit movies like past 10 years of that crap wasn't enough. Literally what the frick is wrong with people?
>no talking animals
DROPPED
>b-but Tom Cruise. Stephen King and Will Smith's son told me it was a LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE™
>Will Smith's son
People still give a shit about Jaden's opinion?
Evidently not.
Good, it deserves to fail.
are these movies really that bad or is it because the Snyderverse is dead so people see no point in these movies?
Probably both.

It's 2 hours that I'd otherwise spend jerking off. Stop being dramatic.
>he thinks going to the kinoplex and jerking off are mutually exclusive activities
ngmi
good
the ben affleck daredevil film is better than most DCEU shit
its been a continuous embarrassing shitshow since nolan has left them
Let's not forget that Cinemaphile was saying GotG 3 would flop
It didn't do good either by Disney standards
Isn't it funny? Cinemaphile says something will flop and it succeeds. Cinemaphile says something will be huge and it flops.
>Cinemaphile says something will be huge and it flops?
Any examples? All i can think is Alita
Pikachu, Shazam, Godzilla 2, the whale and might as well throw in the Flash.
It will have extremely good WOM. I imagine it will be another Aquaman situation.
This film is WB in fully display. They want pic related to happen asap and will shit out an unfinished film to do so.
when will they learn that twitter controversy volume does not translate to ticket sales?
banking on keaton is dumb
ezra millers bad news wont be forgotten by us

Obligatory reminder that capeshit is shit.
>makes batman and incompetent weakling that needs to be rescued by a strong wyman mystery meat superwoman
