i really do love the general atmosphere of the game but holy shit does it ever get old fast. ive never been able to replay it no matter how many times I try
yeah i feel like this and galaxy of terror pretty much but done better. At least the first game. I was really into the prequel comic they put with it too. I never got around to watching the animated dead space movie though
This question is so fricking dumb. Movie games can be adapted, maybe, but I doubt it. Just watch one of those videos on YouTube with every cutscene and see how you would edit it to keep the feel of the game without changing things and still be faithful to the source. Shit would only really work as an animated art film at best. That being said, I wouldn't mind a dark souls project in the style of Mad God or possibly Primal. Or an ICO 2D film. But that still isn't live action.
Games are meant to be played, even the ones lauded for story can't hold a candle to great filmwriting, let alone literature.
The problem is they'd have to add in a bunch of lame bullshit as filler, otherwise the whole thing would just be one guy running around a dark ship by himself, barely talking to anyone. That's fine for a game but doesn't really work for a movie. They'd give him some annoying sidekick and add forced drama.
Its barely a good game
Frick yeah. 30 years ago. I would cringe at the thought of it being made now, or any film at all for that matter.
Eat lead.

Master System>>>>>>>Nes
it's based on Event Horizon so yeah

This one was good but I thought the 3d one sucked..maybe I have to rewatch.
Tom Cruise as Isaac Clarke and yes.
Tom Cruise is 85 years old
It's 2026
85 years young
>85yo
>Still leaping from buildings and flying helicopters into schools
Can't bruise the cruise
>what if the marker wasn't just a story?
Idris Elba as Isaac
the animated movies were pretty good already I thought
yeah as long as they play it straight and don't try to make it into some weird drama or frick up the casting and script for brownie points
yes but honestly you cant trust anyone to adapt a video game or anime or anything books these days
yes based off the first game, no changes and cast a strong white male, ryan perhaps...
yes, but it would be dogshit if made now
Yes and to an extent it already has, best Dead Space coming through
Yeah, but they would probably give it to people who hate the games and it's fans. So it'll most likely suck shit.
>Its barely a good game
Event Horizon was a box office flop, had terrible critic reviews, and had a CinemaScore of D. (The ratings are A, B, C, D, and F.)
I don't fricking care, that movie is awesome.
Event Horizon is amazing. But holy cow it was box office poison.
Yeah, but it's basically a worse Alien
alien is corpos bad
dead space is satanists bad
both can work independently
finally someone noticed that there is an absolute hole in this genre
Vidya just doesn’t transition to movies or shows well.
For some reason most video game movies suck, so probably not.
im still waiting for the mgs movie which will probably suck
Let Kojima direct it and give him full reign to break a scene for a character to give a 5+ minute meandering diatribe.
6 hour long movie
