Dipper is the most love/respected character in the show in the end, its impossinle for him to be alone.
But surely it would eat at him deep down, for his twin sister to go missing, to have no idea what had become of her, to never find out? She's certainly the figure in his life with whom he shares the closest bond; we never hear anything that makes the Pines' relationship with their parents seem good, we never hear about any friends they had at home. The link to the simultaneous disappearance of two girls from Gravity Falls would provide Dipper with a false promise that the mystery had some sense to it, that some entity within Gravity Falls, some person or monster, had taken them, someone he might find eventually in his adventures. He would work hard to unravel it and he would find nothing, ever; Bill might be able to provide him with some cryptic hint of the truth - that he's living in a broken story and the girls have been metafictionally stolen as part of a dark waifu fantasy - but it wouldn't actually get him his sister back, and his mind wouldn't really be able to handle it anyway. Wendy is a reasonably loving and supportive figure, and Dipper does have a certain charisma about him that would likely earn him other friends and allies, but he would have a lot of shit to work through.

Why was Dipper the only character you watched the show for?
I felt his character was very relatable and pure intentioned, a very gentle soul kid with a curious drive of solving problems for his friends and family. I like down to earth characters that grow up but stay real about it.
