And thats just one market that will crash when the population will keep declining. Health care will collapse, retirement funds and pensions will collapse becasue fewer and fewer young people will need to suport old peole.
Thats just the tip of the ice berg. Other factors will be innovaction and production will fall down a cliff because old people are not innovative and productive, and old people will be 80% of the population in the future. Every modern tech company you know was founded by young people being bold and innovative.
The rich cannot exploit the masses anymore (economics today are built in such a way population growth is expected to be an incremental thing).
That is why billionaires like musk want (You) to really marry and reproduce.
That and globalization will be greatly affected. I firmly believe a world war will start the moment the global supply chain takes a hit.

Moon is a more explicit sci-fi film than Pi even though the character does no science, because it's explicitly about the effect of technology on people.
