scruffy dies happy, surrounded by porn mags. nibbler records his brain dying at peace. nibbler's experiment is over and he reports to his superiors.
I’d just do an episode making fun of the very idea of futurama even having a true finale at this point >due to some frickup by mom, the heatdeath of the universe has been to accelerated to happe kn the next few days, a discovery first found out by professor farnsworfh >While at first the planet express crew was freaking out, one by one they all realize they’ve done any big final things they wanna do before they die and start wondering if this “hear death of the universe” is even permenant >the only one still worried is professor farnsworth, less because of the actual impending doom and more because nobody seems to care about his findings >the heat death of the universe does end up happening but after a thousand years, the universe starts back up again, with most barely even noticing it happened >cue the guy from the pilot say “welcome to the universe of tomorrow” and professor farnsworth going to his anger dome to complain about how his big discovery meant nothing in the end
fry falls into another cryostasis tube and wakes up in the year 4000, where there's a 3-eyed chick, a straightedge crushing robot, a hypercompetent anthropomorphic iguana doctor, and some other various analogues to previous characters.
A mass murder suicide that is played completely serious. Like characters are hiding wimpering under desks saying prayers and being killed one by one. >They like to pat themselves on the back for a sad dead dog episode and keep throwing in depressing episodes, why not end on one?
Farnsworth does some machinist baloney and accidentally gives leela two eyes permanently then fry and leela time travel to the turning millennium and kiss in nyc lol

Depicting the heat death of the universe as literally everything freezing in a block of ice, cartoon style, is pretty funny and in Furturama style.
