Most of the people would rather just work. Ultimately you'd be looking at breaking the actors, the writers, the blue collar IATSE members, the teamsters would likely step in as well as SEIU to try to prevent that from happening. The producers and directors have unions but they typically aren't a problem, they've curated membership and it's not required.
Easiest thing to do would be to spin up multiple indie studios and push content through there.

The writers and actors are the public facing parts of those executives. Those are the pieces that take action as provided by the executives. They've spent the last 8 years weaponizing the entertainment media landscape, probably irreparably. It's impossible to feel bad for the assholes where were just following orders when they stop working because they want more money and don't understand technology. When the strike ends you go back to work. And the terrible productions start again. I hope this helps you understand why no one cares about what happens here.

The long tail of revenue is also what makes IP collections valuable over time. You don’t need to be Star Wars or Harry Potter to make a shit ton of money long term; niche vehicles like Pitch Black got profit and sequels based on the strength of the tail. Movies that weren’t successful at launch but became hits include Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, The Thing and many more.

It's crazy because I only watch two American shows and last week I was trying to find out when the new seasons are coming out, turns out there are no release dates probably because of the strike. Then I was thinking that people who live in America must be angry with the strike because they consume most of their media, but it looks like they don't give a shit.
Nobody watches the shows the studios are making. Part of what the writers want is a cut of royalties based on viewer numbers, and the studios really don't want to make those public because then their investors will realize streaming services aren't making any money.
