Marines are always salty because Army always gets the new gear and Marines get their hand me downs. At least that's what my annoying "HOO RAH THAT FEELS GOOD IN MY ASS" former Marine friends told me
General Matthis thought that by having marines pop up in different spots hundreds of miles deep into enemy territory it would confuse and scare the Iraqis, but the Iraqi army was poorly disciplined and all over the place from the start, so they were confused and scared to begin with, but he took the credit anyway. Military history is full of men like him.
Going back to the War of Independence, American tradition is to stumble into every war insanely unprepared, even when it was a war we instigated
Desert Storm was probably the one time we were actually ready and did things properly and even then you had men issued jungle camo for a desert war (a mistake repeated in 2003)
Marine procurement is handled by the Navy, and Admirals prefer spending on ships and naval bases rather than their infantry branch. The Marines, despite doing a fair amount of America’s fighting since WW1, are perpetually underfunded and underequipped.
Fricking this, shit has become increasingly common on Cinemaphile too. I dunno if it's zoomers believing they're the center of the universe or redditgays thinking they're posting on a board for one single show but it's ridiculous at this point.
And no, naming the show isn't "spoon-feeding" because absolutely nowhere in these threads is a title ever even IMPLIED. This isn't Cinemaphile where every screenshot can be searched on a custom database.
There are threads but they're usually just radio chatter meme'ing
Read the book and also the kinda companion piece "One Bullet Away" by Captain Fick
Guessing you're a zoomer
Of course he's heard about the fricking show, this is just his moronic Cinemaphile tier way of making a thread about it.
Fick and Iceman were too based for the Marines
>Marines being sent in in unarmored humvees
>some humvees didn't even have doors
Are Marines suicidal or what?
If you ever meet one in real life you'll understand how moronic they are. It will start to make sense

MRAPs became more common after the initial invasion
MRAPs didn't exist in 2003 & were explicitly made because of the IED threat during the insurgency.
They are just poor. It's always been this way. But they have superior brainwashing, so it balances out.
Post your favorite flavor crayon or you don't get to talk about the Corps
Trick question because they’re all delicious
Marines are the type of people who intentionally work harder instead of smarter.
The Army, Navy, and Air Force get new stuff. When that stuff gets old then it gets sent to the Marines.
The Air Force gets the best stuff, as it happens.
Is all the UFO shit for real?

I love all my marine buddies but they are generally moronic.
You do realise they were reconnaissance and not main battle line, right?

As someone who was in 3rd ID and took part in the invasion - yes - this was actually that moronic, and more
You should watch it from the front that's where your eyes are
>Dr. Pavel! I'm USMC.
IM CALLING IN A FIRE MISSION ON Cinemaphile
Sir there's still a regiment of crossposters in that AO, Danger Close!
>wtf why did I never hear about this show?
Because taht show was made before you were born.
Showed an old roommate of mine this series and he joined the Marines immediately after. Oh and I've met Rudy Reyes irl and have a picture with him.
Man that's cool. What was Rudy like?
Rudy Reyes will slide into your DMs on instagram and try and get nudes from you if you are a girl
He will also claim women buy his nudes
He's fricked in the head
Cool lets all just talk about an apparently good show without anyone saying what the name of it is like it's some sort of inside information
Generation Kill you fricking loser

Lurk more and watch more tv you whiny c**t.
>watch more tv
Worst advice ever given on this board
bump
Because most people on this site were born around 2000 to 2004 so you were in the first grade at best when this aired
I’m old enough to be their parents and we almost never have GK threads.
speak for yourself there freshzoom
The ziggy origin story was pretty cool.
PTSD must be a meme if you're willing to play yourself in a war show and recreate you sniping two hajis and pretending to feel bad about it
Not everybody gets PTSD
HBO used to make some damn good television
Still does occasionally but that run from 00-09 had some great stuff
