It shows, I thought the artstyle looked familiar. I think it turned out excellent visually, it's really charming.
They're pretty good. They do a good joke of translating the feeling of the strip to a different format that has much longer beats thant a 3 or 4 panel strip.

Comic Cartoons were popular in the 80's when they were still relevant, What comic strip would your average person recognize? Most people don't even realize that Over the Hedge was a comic strip, and that cartoon is long forgotten.
The closest thing are 4 panel webcomics on webtoon, but they don’t have the quite the same charm
