That one's not a team, that one's just a description.
That's not how the x-gene is supposed to work. Everyone has the same x-gene and epigenetic factors determine what powers you get if any.
Also, I'm a dude. The x-gene is on the x-chromosome. How's he gonna give me a second copy? Am I getting turned into a chick too? The x-gene's fricking gigantic. You can't just double it in fricking place or stick it somewhere it's not supposed to go. It'd frick with other shit.

No speedster can exist without some degree of speed force bullshit, but Quicksilver mostly tanks the stress of super speed because his body is built to be durable enough to withstand it. What he lacks in Speed magic he makes up for with Superhuman durability and fitness.
Yeah the speed I’m cool with but reading his wiki there’s something about injecting crystals which let him move through time and space which is 100% speed force bullshit and I love that
Yes yes, the mist crystals he got from the moon people. The time travel was definitely more of a secondary mutation he obtained from inhaling those crystals. He kept it for a while but you'd definitely need to get to the Terrigen Pools yourself to unlock that part of his power.

I'm going to show how little marvel I've actually read but the movies made Mystique's shapeshifting seem like something she has to consciously maintain. Do the comics portray it that way, or will a transformation hold even if she's knocked out or not thinking about it?

Canonically she just makes clothes with her powers instead wearing real ones, which I assume she wouldn't do if it was difficult to maintain. They also don't disappear when she's knocked out so take from that what you will.
