Please share your thoughs/opinion about the new episodes of X-Men ’97 here anons. I for one was totally blown away by them, the show really exceeded my expectations my hat goes off to the makers/producers of it.
I found the ending to "Mutant Liberation Begins" very intriguing I certainly was not expecting to see a second Jean show up at the mansion at the end. The question is she a future version of Jean or she the real Jean? if she turns out to be the real one then the Jean who gave birth to the baby may be revealed to be a imposter hmmmm clones anybody?

Based, thank you very much anon, I really appreciate it.
Thanks so much!
Any updated link? This one is down
Good action.
Faithful to x men. BIG FRICKING SUPRISE.
Faithful to old TV show.
Saw a few movies from the Capcom games.
I actually like the fast, no fricking around pace. No Bendis slowdown here.

MINUSES.
Rouge's ass loss is a travesty.
Jubile'ss eyes are suddenly a lot pointier.
I'm in for the season.
Standard anti shill move. Thanks bro.
My bro got motion sickness, but I didn't see it.
MEGA is down. Anyone got a new link?
Doesn't seem to be working.
Slop elsewhere
I have Disney+
2 mouse shekels have been deposited into your account
Did Rogue frick Mags while Gambit hid outside and listened?
we gotta have our lOvE tRiAnGlEz.
Animation is awful, the wanna-be art style is just as bad as I expected it to be given the trailers and the writing is some of the worst modern Disney has churned out yet.
Wouldn’t advise anyone re-upping a subscription if they lapsed just to watch this shit
The animation looks nauseating, like playing a game in 15fps
I liked it
This is the most transparent shilling I’ve seen since Arcane was airing, maybe since Borderlands. Christ you’re shameless. Why do your masters even want the regressive chuds of Cinemaphile watching your product?
>ah so, fratscan gaijin are most using sentiners again! most dishonorabru weapon.. shamefur dispray; ancestor cry many tears
>gaijin
Jubilee is American from a Chinese family dingus
Racists are so stupid they never get their stereotypes right, people keep calling Japanese people the g-word, including the owner of this site
They do it because it makes snowflake tourists like (You) cooe and seethe
>Racists are so stupid
yeah, weird how that works
CEO of racism really doesn't put up with that shit. Everyone but the most casual tourists should be functional in slurs.
Cinemaphile should have the widest range of the newest, most innovative, most precise racial slurs on the planet.
>Racists are ignorant of races
Damn you catch on fast, don’t you?
>The g-word
Just go back to twitter anon.
Wrong, true racist call all groups slurs in accordance with their cultural/ethnic back round. The anon you’re referring to is an amateur.
You tell that to the people who fired her iconic actress for not being Chinese enough to voice a 3rd generation chinese american
The actress resigned by herself.
as if she had a choice.
This show is clearly the AOA.
Don't listen so much to morons. So far, aside from baseline x men racisim, the woke is nerfing Rogue's ass, and making Morph non binary. Pretty petty, but if that's enough for you to jump off, see you later.
None of the shit you mentioned has anything to do with being "woke" . Learn what words mean before using them in sentences you fricking moronic Zoomer.
>this show is clearly the AoA
Disney doesn't have the balls to depict global genocide and massive piles of dead bodies, or depict the violence necessary for AoA to be presented correctly
>redditspacing
Wasn't she korean?
No? She's always been Chinese.
>they actually made her look more chinky
Why do Hollywood execs hate Asians so much?
Heaven forbid they depict asians how they actually look.
When it comes off looking like a caricature, you'd think they'd want to give it a second or third pass.
>looking like a caricature
Except it doesn't. This is what years of consuming Japanese media where pic related is supposed to be a Japanese woman has done to people.
Someone post the Asian woman on Twitter whining about stereotypes and then her irl pic being a stereotype
News flash: This is actually what Asians look like to the rest of the world. Sorry, chinky.
The original looked chinky enough. The show was mostly largely animated by Koreans.
this b***h looks like a chink to you?
I thought she was a latino or tanned white girl.
Yeah dude I totally hate seeing more Asian girls, they should definitely stop, I'm feeling so upset and don't at all have a boner from it.
Because anime won't bend the knee.
Plenty of asians looked like old jubilee.
that's a question for pol.
Hollywood really wants to be racist like the good old days
i like this Jubilee design more. Before she looked like some generic 90s superprostitute.
She's a shemale or something, in every scene she seems to have the biggest dick in the show, look at the volume, the anon wasn't kidding about
That man face dude, c'mon
Did Sweet Baby Inc work on this cartoon? All the signs are there specifically with ugly women
Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue sauce? I love that shit on chicken. They working on animation now or is that the new boogyman for you homosexuals these days? I can't keep up there is a new one every few weeks
Why is Samus in this show?
That's clearly Roll.
god damn is this a good shill post.
(YWNBAW BTW)
Dear animators, please stop animating on 3's. It looks bad.
Sincerely,
everyone
I'm not seeing this up on my normal sites yet but I'm really curious how it will be!
What I felt most in the two episodes was the gay message, nothing subliminal, Magneto, Xavier are old gay couple lol, Morph has a strange bromance with Logan, Jubilee seems to have a dick in her shorts, Rogue is literally 12 yo Leonard di Caprio, stories from comics are mixed and everything indicates that they will want to make a leap to the woke Disney era of the X-Men comics. I pray that this will happen so that the audience will see how the X-Men readers have suffered in these 10 years with Disney.
>Jubilee seems to have a dick in her shorts,
Sold
Shut the frick up you dumbfrick zoomer.
Really anon if you wish to get possiably banned by mods then by all means do keep the spam up you spider gays keep on spamming X-Men threads like this and thay may just happen.
Hey, Gwenschizo. Stop shitting up the Spider-Man thread. It’s uncool, we did nothing to you.
This is off-topic given that is a X-Men thread enjoy being reported now.
Ok, I will stop posting here and let X-Men people enjoy themselves.
You will not do that in the Spider-Man thread because you are trash though.
Is Jean still useless?
?si=CFiKFX4YGsZLyCkB
She was pregnant for 1.5 episodes. She'll probably have some incredible feats as the show progresses since the stories that seem to be adapted for this will give Scott, Jean, Jubilee, and Storm a lot of focus. Cyclops and Storm already looked quite good.
The pacing for both episodes feels way off, things just go by way too quickly. I get they're trying to imitate the style of the older cartoon but it was off-putting for me and I feel like they need to let more scenes 'breathe'. That said, I did still enjoy both episodes well enough to continue watching.

aha i knew it so sinster is behind this so the jean we saw in the first two episodes could be a clone made by him.
we literally knew Madeline Pryor was going to be a thing because of the toys.
No fricking way are they just gonna resolve the Madelyne Pryor plotline in 1 episode, right?
>7. Bright Eyes
focuses the X-Men on finding Bolivar Trask. However, when the team locates the inventor of the Sentinels, they realize they have all been played by a mastermind.
my man cyke getting the respect he always deserved
>Tolerance is Extinction
The frick did they mean by this?
it's a part of Gyrich's anti-mutant rant in episode one

Magneto is... Irish?
And by that he means homosexual.

I agree it's gayer, like with Anka or ankara or whatever that artist that does the gay male captain marvel carol, but get a grip anon.

looks like I'm subbed for Disney Plus for another decade.
You think Morph lets Wolverine smash?
Do you think morph could STOP the best there is at what he does?
You mean Maddy?
I liked them. First episode was better than second
Anyone have a download for the original show? I've never seen it, and all the links on tbharchive are dead.
Rogue still has no ass
So?
It's shit
I'm sorry you live in such a small world where the way a character's butt is drawn impacts you so much
Woman detected
>Rogue still has no ass
could be easily fixed because the animation is all in 3d
What's wild abt this shot is that it's supposed to highlight Rogue's (nonexistent) ass by being directly in the center of the frame represented as a lurid stroll by Rogue into "Erik's" quarters. They commit to drawing the cake w/o any of the cake. I'm fine with Rogue not having any ass but don't think for a second that's appealing. Wait, no I'm not. I'm not okay with Rogue not having any ass. It wasn't cool back then, and it's not cool now. Give her some cheeks like a real woman.
How is 97-Magneto so fit if he’s a sixty year old israeli dude?
Gonna be honest that straight up just looks like Scott talking to his butch lesbian mom.
he doesn't know
>The really israeli character is a 10/10 gigachad grandpa
Why don't they depict more israelites like this instead of what they really look like?
He had the de-aging-into-a-baby arc offscreen
I head he lifts some iron.
Granny Goodness switching companies?
SCOTT, I CAN'T READ MAGNETOS MIND TO CHECK IF HE IS LYING, BECAUSE.....I JUST CAN'T OKAY?!
Jesus Christ, it looks bad enough, no need to add chromatic aberration too.
This doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might. There's nothing wrong with her having a line to draw. It'd be something that would play in the mind of someone with morals pretty often. Besides, he could very well up and change his mind at any time, as she suggests, and the time surveilling Magneto 24/7 is better spent taking care of the new baby.
people think that jean post bendis is the norm
She didn't have that line in the first episode. Or is she only ok with mindraping humans?
This shit looks kind of ass
It's... got its ups and downs. They seem to have put their animation budget into the action scenes which do look really good but outside of those the animation ranges from serviceable to embarrassingly stiff.
Maybe the real Jean would've done it.
Nah, Jean is useless.
But she's ok with Rogue putting a Doctor into a coma? Stupid prostitute deserves to die
Siniestro isn't perfect then again you're talking about a woman in labor.
Was meh on episode 1 but liked episode 2
Why do they call him Eirk I thought his real name was fricking Magnus in X-Men cartoon?
wasn't he Erik Magnus tho?
yes, but they changed to literal wolfenstein shit later thanks to fricking claremont
this is how They had sex in the savage land
Erik Magnus Lehnsherr.
>it's actually good
Color me surprised
I know she had a thing with Joseph and AoA Mags; but how are the writers gonna explain Rogue97 fricking an old israelite? If they are gonna link it to her villain days its gonna be even more creepy since she would be a lot younger.
because she can touch him. his magnetic powers can create a thin electromagnetic field around him that dissipates rogue's powers. it was there in the episode as well. they show it without explicitly telling it.
This shit is so fricking dumb of an explanation to get two characters to frick
That man chest
How old is Rogue supposed to be? I feel like this is the modern day Slade and Terra.
When this happened in the comics Rogue was probably in her late teens early 20's range. And Magneto had been deaged and reaged to when his powers 1st manifested in his late 30's early 40's
Still sus Of the core X-Men Rogue is the 4th youngest ahead of Jubilee, X-23 and Kitty Pryde.
Think of it like banging a teacher you meet on the street after high school
>If they are gonna link it to her villain days its gonna be even more creepy since she would be a lot younger.
Rogue dicky, uuooohh... ToT
Seriously, what's the point of doing this now when the original series skipped over their time in the Savage Land?
I wish they left this shit on the cutting room floor. This pairing as always been contrived as frick and I hate seeing an otherwise decent show grind to a halt for fricking relationship drama.
>I hate seeing an otherwise decent show grind to a halt for fricking relationship drama.
Well they're going full Claremont here, moreso than even the original show did, so get used to a bunch of contrived soap opera shit.
They’re just copying the source material. Back then the Claremont sales tactic was to shove 200 soap opera plots into an issue in the hopes that readers would be interested in at least one and become regular buyers.
Yeah the worst parts of his run. Hopefully they don't spend too much time on it.
The popularity of the Claremont run is really built on the ongoing soap opera though. Without that it is the same shit that happens in every book. People ate soap opera character relationship moments up. It was X-Men bread and butter
He also shoved 200 different fetishes but that wasn't a sales tactic that was just Claremont being Claremont
so.. where was the woke? I was told this was woke now
X-Men is woke. The entire series is woke. The show has good writing while being faithful to the original series which was also woke.
Holy shit this looks bad and choppy as frick
literally a demoralization tactic at this rate
If you get demoralized by fricking cartoons then you'd probably crumble at the first banter thrown at you IRL
why would you say something so mean
Truth's the Truth dawg.
They tried. At least there ass more here than W&X-men Rouge
You think Spiral and Mojo will return?
>Morph can duplicate powers
>Rogue can steal specialized knowledge and expertise, along with powers, vitality, memories etc
Whats the point of the others at this point?
They're pretty much guaranteed to pop up in the Motendo episode.
They're only one person each, and Rogue's absorbed abilities only last so long.
Nah, they're most likely going to drag it out into the finale, or let it be a plot thread for another season.
So they cut Psylocke because it's "too hard" to animate her and lead producer Kevin Feige doesn't like women in leotards either? and end the quota with Asian characters with Jubilee? Colossus and Psylocke are the characters fans want to see in the show, but the gay producer doesn't like them both, as does the gay showrunner, It's over before it even starts
Psylocke and Colosseus were never core characters. Stop forcing your favorites on the show. It's bad enough they have to include Bishop.
If you look at the characters from other X-men adaptations, reboots and movies.
The mainstays are always Storm, Wolverine and Cyclopes.
Followed by Jean, Xavier & Beast (of the O6).
And then you have johnny come latelies like Kitty Pryde, Nightcrawler and Rogue.
Psylocke and Colosseus are in pile of characters like Iceman and Angel and Emma Frost who are mostly recurring ghost stars.
When has Colosseus ever headlined as a main character in a cartoon other than Pryde of the X-Men. And Psylocke has never been a main in a cartoon adaptation.
You're right about the animated series doing them dirty, but pretending like Colossus isnt a core member of the X-Men is moronic. Which era did you read? Stam Lee?
You dumb homie. Colussus has been around as long as Storm and Wolverine. Psyylocke joined mid 80s and has had prominent appearances ever since, including in Uncanny X-Force.
>It's bad enough they have to include Bishop.
Frick you, Bishop's great.
Hello, leo-tard.
Morph turned into Psylocke in the second episode. For some reason I found it hillarious.
>So they cut Psylocke because it's "too hard" to animate her
You don't get it, it's because they can only use one hand.
>inbefore they gaybend Gambit since he's getting cucked by Mags
But who will Gambit be gay for? Beast? Bishop? Mor-oh wait Morph is gay with Wolverine
If this is AoA Morph would end with Blink, wouldn't he?
Blink was too slow, Wolverine won the Morphbowl
But she can teleport.
Which makes it even more embarrassing, by the time she got there Wolverine was already having naked wrestling with Morph in Sabretooth form
Once you go bub you'll always sub
Technically it's Exiles Morph. Exiles Morph might look like AOA Morph, but he's not. He's from a parallel Earth where Morph joined the X-Men as an actual member of the team and not as Xavier's secret body double who died days after taking the job with none of the X-Men knowing he was impersonating Xavier, then ended up going down the path Beast did leaving the team to become a world famous actor and TV star.
Me.
If this is follow the comics, he will frick the Night Elf Mutie
Beast has had multiple girlfriends, had a miniseries with Dazzler, and has briefly dated storm when really beast should be with another doctor like cecilia reyes or an A.I. like Danger. the least hetero beast can ever be is bisexual with wonderman
Gambit seduces Magneto out of spite
>Gambit plows Magneto
>Magneto plows Rogue
>by the transitive property, Gambit is plowing Rogue
If they add Psylocke, they will model it to the most ugliest Asian TheyThem that lives in Canada. Fricking Americans.
The X-Men cartoon was based around a proposed roster that Byrne pitched when he was briefly brought in to replace Claremont after Claremont got forced off the book, before Jim Lee told him to frick off.
Byrne wanted to jetison everyone Claremont added after he left (IE no Rogue, Gambit, Psylockes, Jubilee) and have the roster be Storm, Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Beast. And for both Uncanny and adjectiveless X-Men have said roster. Lee refused this and replaced Jean and Storm with Psylockes and Jubilee and also added Gambit (who Byrne hated) back to the team.
When the roster was being finalized, it was decided to use the Byrne's proposed roster but with Rogue and Gambit kept on, as Psylockes was considered too similar to Jean and Morph added to be killed off. However, because of the number of characters on the team, Beast ended up spending most of the time in prison in season one to thin down the roster a bit.
Slight boob jiggle
At least Storm underboob makes up for lack of Rogue ass so far
It doesn't make up for it, but it does take the edge offf.
Animation style is hideous. That is all.
Why didn't the X-men take Magneto to court over Xavier's will?
It would likely open them up to more outside scrutiny than they're prepared for at the moment.
I wish they didn't do the "humans are inevitably going to be replaced" as something the X-Men actually seemed to believe in.
Made all the talk of working together seem pretty fricking hollow.
>humans are inevitably going to be replaced
I always believed that. Mutants are also humans just evolved due to mutations. The lesson is they were all human to begin with despite the differences.
Is Magneto being a previous lover of Rogue a thing in the older show?
Dirty shill israelite
Calm your ass, and point to the mega.
why the frick is the new cartoon frame rate so jumpy skipping at first episode? are they mocking japanese anime?
why does it look like it's animated like a more expensive Moonbeam City?
>Madelyne
but why? no one cares about that b***h besides coomers and clonegays
She's Nathan's mother
just watched it.
The action is great, the Magneto scene with the UN was fantastic, Cyclops has never been cooler, we got Al Ewing levels Stormwank, we got RoguexMagneto. The X-Cutioner going from mook to certified badass was also awesome. Wolverine driving Jean to the hospital was also hilarious.
>Al Ewing
Stopped reading rignht there, kys yourself
> have a nice day yourself
Well said
>Cyclops has never been cooler
Evolution
Evolution Cyclops was trash along with the rest of the lineup that felt terribly mediocre. I'm glad old Cyclops is BACK
I miss the comic book shadows.
Am I the only one who thinks Jubilee looks cuter now?
The yellow fever types are definitely big on her. I prefer the old, but it's not a big issue for me.
Asians that aren't very asian are a thing. And they make Josh Luna seeth.
But Rouge's ASS on the other hand. I'm ready to throw down over that one.
yeah she's a lot cuter in this, rounder softer face
>gambit is getting cucked
bros why? I thought its our time to shine but instead our boy is losing to an old israelite....
This show is dogshit, stop fricking shilling it, prick.
Shows like this are the litmus test to identify normal Cinemaphile users (hate things that deserve the hate, praise things that deserve the praise) and gays Cinemaphile got bad rep for (hate everything by default)
Stop being an irrational gayget. These two episodes were objectively good.
Most people /here/ would get filtered by the hideous animation style. You sound more like a paid shill spouting pre-baked lines.
>These two episodes were objectively good.
Oh yeah, that's a great way to change minds.
"This show meets the legal definition of good and if you disagree you're the worst of Cinemaphile."
Get lost. You're a much worse representative than they are: a mindless shill.
/thread
Lol don't reply to your own shitpost as if it was anything but fricking moronic
>This show is objectively good
How? The whole discourse here has been really:
>animation is isn't good/meh
>character design isn't as good as the original (i.e. Rogue's ass)
There's been little discourse about the stories of the episodes themselves which makes me believe that this is just usual Disney's garbage. A meh show that people will forget about unless they do something worst than these first two episodes.
t. Mouseshill
Kys
I just want fricking Cable and his gun making Black folk glow and blow up.
t/genX was here.
Does the showrunner have some kind of NTR fetish?
>Gambit gets cucked
>Jean gets cucked by her own clone
>Storm gets cucked out of her powers
>Logan gets double cucked
The answer is yes.
And all this happens in episode 2?
What the actual frick.
I never really watched the original cartoon nor read the comics, but hoo boy Rogue and Jubilee are doing things to me. I loved Rogue in the 2000s cartoon where she was polar different from this Rogue but hoo boy the idea of Southern Belle Rogue calling me sugar makes me blush as a 26 year old man.
I'm trying to watch the original 97 series on Disney Plus but good lord did they do nothing to make it presentable. I can barely see half of everything half the time.
If you like Rogue here, find a clean rip of the original series. You'll end up married to her.
I feel like this is the strongest they've depicted Summers in an adaptation.
Friends of Humanity bullshit was always the most boring part of the OG show.
Apocalypse or Sinister when?
>Magneto takes over the X-Men, destroys the UN says Never Again
They are not being subtle aren't they.
Lmao, cope harder, the show was kino and if you didn’t like it you are (probably) a joyless c**t.
Jean cloned by Mr. Sinister from when he captured Scott and Jean in the original series. Real Jean has been in captivity for years.
MFW they are going to do the "Rogue got some" story with Magneto and cucked Gambit on Disney+
boring
not even sure 6-year-olds will like it
It wasn't too bad. The action was good but the animation and costume changes are pretty insulting.
Magneto's new costume makes him look like a troon.
Rogue's VA is disgusting.
Rogue is as thick as a stick bug.
Gambit's hairstyle is terrible.
Storm's hairstyle is 100% worse than her old hair.
Storm also somehow got blacker.
Other than that, I did enjoy it. Theme is a good rendition of the original.
I liked that they added more to the intro between episodes.
Rogue's VA is the same as the original show.
After all the seething and whining the show was kino and you cant change that, get rekt pol turists
It was pretty bad and nobody says kino around here any more. Tell your bosses they need to update their guidelines
take your meds
Magneto looks like he is about to transition into a troony with that new costume. Holy shit it's horrible.
I was pretty unimpressed with the first episode until the last five minutes, but this second episode was great. My issue with the talking heads being over-animated wasn't as significant in this second episode, and it really feels like the series was written by a true fan who isn't interested in making their own mark on the series. It's honestly a good adaptation of JrJr/Claremont through the lenses of the modern day.
>it really feels like the series was written by a true fan who isn't interested in making their own mark on the series. It's honestly a good adaptation
yes, but it's fricking boring
Watched the first episode, it seems okay but it’s pretty ugly. Also Wolverine’s voice is horrible.
Yeah it's honestly hard to listen to him. Cal Dodd is clearly struggling to still do the voice and it sounds like it hurts.
They really should've just hired someone else to try to do the voice, because as it is Cal Dodd now sounds like another guy doing a bad impression of Cal Dodd.
Is this traced from 3D animation? It’s hard to tell but it feels like it from time to time.
There's a couple of places where it's just straight up 3D models with no tracing. The show's animation is really inconsistent, sometimes it feels dynamic and sometimes it feels like a motion c9nic.
If it weren't for the animation and rough voice acting from certain characters, this would definitely be a 9/10. As it is, the flaws make it a strong 7.
>like 65% of the first episode is characters doling out exposition about shit they already know
I would understand if this was the first episode of a brand new IP, but who the FRICK is this for? The show was made explicitly for fans of the original series. Why do we need Rouge to explicitly say she can't touch people when like 99.9999% of the people watching already know that from literal decades of X-Men media?
I watched the original when I was like 5 and haven’t since but I don’t think it feels like it overexplains anything unless you’re a lifelong diehard. First episodes always set the stage, and it kind of begins with a final boss fight anyway.
I actually enjoyed it.
Theme song was the only good part of the show, back then and now.
are they still gonna make Jubilee dyslexic but with math like they did a few years ago?
>Storm, Rogue and Beast still sound good
>Wolverine sounds like he has throat cancer
can't win em all I guess
Wolverine sounds ok to me but Rogue sounds old.
Rogue always sounded old though, she's always had a husky voice
I'm fine with her voice but you can definitely hear the age in it now.
When she said "prep an IV and get this lady to a room" she sounded 70
Hot old, yeah. Now she sounds like shriveled up tiny grandma old.
Opposite for me. Wolverine sounds like Nixon now and Rogue's voice is too high to compensate for the age of the actress.
Maybe the should've been recast like Cyclops.
It HAS been twenty years, anon
>Wolverine
It's easy to forget the strain this work, these voices, can sometimes place on voice actors and I've always loved Wolverine's voice in the animated series. He is the quintessential Wolverine forever for me. I'm overjoyed that the original voice actor is back in this role. I hate that we couldn't get all the original voice actors back like Jean but the alternates like those for Cyclops and Jubilee are perfect substitutions.
>Rogue sounds old
Idgaf I'm glad she's back doing the best she can. She's just so spunky with her voice that even at an older age, I can't complain. I love her overall characterization, voice included, just too much.
First cartoon since Sym-Bionic Titan/ThunderCats reboot that isn't shit.
Is this made by the Koreans who make Invincible? I know it's cg but it has the same clunky awkward choppy movement all the time
If I had to guess, they animated it using cg rigs, then added the "2D" overlay to give it that look, then cut out every other frame to make it look less smooth to diminish that awful uncanny valley effect that usually comes with modern animation. It works sometimes, but yeah overall the result isn't the best.
is it still cuckoldry if you lost your spouse to your clone?
What comics should I read before watching it? Should I also watch the original 90s series? I'm not much of an X-Men fan, I've only read some early 2000s stuff (Whedon's Astonishing, the first 30 or so issues of Ultimate X-Men), some late 90s Wolverine stories, but it's been over 10 years since I touched those comics, and I don't even remember most of it. Should I read Claremont's comics?
Claremont, focus on Claremont/Byrne stuff.
Where do you guys go to read the old comics? I can google mangas and theres several websites to read em for free
readcomiconline.li or readallcomics.com
Unironically a bunch on Internet Archive.
The cartoon does a better job at summarizing the stories so just watch that, and if you liked a certain story or subplot then just google the issues to read.
Definitely watch the old cartoon.
>beto x jubilee
why did i never think of this before?
i was shocked how into it i was when it was happening, it's actually a good one
>beto
>madelyne
are we getting inferno?
are we getting my daughteru rahne?

The israelite gene will live on
imagine the seethe from the 3 gambitfans when in the end of the show Mag dies but leaves Rogue with children and Rem willingly raises the kids as his own
The israelite show
sooo yall mean mags been rawdoggin dat 10/10 gyat everyday?? fr fr
what mod?
Before I watch this is this one of those cases where being pg actually made the show better?
Revindication for cyclops fans
I could get past some of the cringey dialogue and certain VA's who were clearly phoning it in, but the animation was just so awful that it pulled me out of everything.
Also Magneto's outfit redesign is a travesty.
>Also Magneto's outfit redesign is a travesty.
I get that they wanted to go with Magneto's hero look from the 80's but there was a reason he had the stupid giant M costume for only a few months before they ditched it. They should've gone with the outfit he wore the longest during his New Mutants tenure.
Shitty outfit, he looks like a dance teacher. The best outfit was his iconic 90s one.
That's pretty much the 60s one, though. Magneto is trying to rebrand himself as a hero, so his original costume needed to be ditched. His other good guy outfits are too new, so we're stuck with the ones from the Claremont era.
>takes place in 1997
>Morph is 2020's non-binary they/them
yeah sure why the frick not
I know they said that outside of the show but if you didn't know that already, how would you even know? He only has like 3 lines and most of the time he's either featureless and hairless of in the form of someone else. Nothing stands out about it. Stop b***hing.
>we already have jean scott logan
>now madelyn is there too
>add in the unnecessary mags rogue remy love triangle
why?
Because western cartoons love this dumb shit and it will bring in the wring crowd. (shippergays)
To be fair the comics had that at one point or another.
The "3D plane" trick they do looks pretty bad.
funny seeing people complain it's woke and complain about relationship drama. It's the X-Men! That's the whole damn thing!!!
Just saw both eps.
The biggest thing that kept throwing me off was that in the last episode of the original show, Xavier went to live with his alien gf on her planet so he could stay alive and the feud with Magneto seemed to more or less have been settled. I guess the implication is Xavier decided to come back and Magneto reverted back to villainy for a while, but it still feels weird the end of the original show is completely ignored. Especially when it set up what the current show wants to do anyway, with Magneto being a good guy who wants to work WITH the xmen instead of against them.
Opening shots looked really fricking cool, then the animation became weirdly choppy. Fight scenes were surprisingly entertaining.
Not a fan of introducing Mags x Rogue, even with there being a comic book basis for it. Some things are better left out of adaptations and this is one of them, the TAS versions of these characters aren't the same as the comic versions. Given the connection ororo and logan had in the original show I feel like he should have gotten a letter too but I can overlook that.
I plan to keep watching but I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it so far. I really don't hate it, but it feels like a random new xmen show with elements from TAS, rather than like a real continuation.
Why the hell is Jericho there? I know the real reason is diversity but you'd think they'd justify him being present in-universe. He's just there without explanation.
>Why the hell is Jericho there?
?
I meant Bishop. Don't know why I called him Jericho.
Probably will be developed later, he wasn't an unknown in this continuity anyway.
Wasn't he in that last X-Men arc in the previous show? I think he basically stuck around because Xavier event was a key event, he had one line stating something like this in 97.
> I guess the implication is Xavier decided to come back and Magneto reverted back to villainy for a while, but it still feels weird the end of the original show is completely ignored.
How do you figure that? It seems like it's picking up where it left off with that plotline.
what's the over-under on the TVA making an appearance and having something or someone from '97 make an appearance in Deadpool 3?
>the TVA making an appearance
Nah.
>omething or someone from '97 make an appearance in Deadpool 3?
Flashing on a monitor for a moment? About 70%.
Somehow being referenced with live actors? About 30%.
An animated character interacting with Wade directly? About 20%.
Thruple when?
So did they say why Morph suddenly has the AoA/Exiles blank face?
cartoon is aoa timeline
wishful thinking. disney isn't going to depict apocalypse and his horsemen brutally murdering the avengers and fantastic four
No but they can like...beat them up kinda
and it will just show how fricking flaccid disney is. like i said, disney doesn't have the balls. showing the deaths of the avengers and FF would be the only thing that makes AoA hardcore and worthwhile and it's never going to happen. if this show is actually leading to AoA, it will be the softest, most pansy ass shit you've ever seen for something that's supposed to be "dystopian"
they can handwave em offscreen easy. if they were gonna have a continuation of the other series we'd have heard they're in production already, so it's not happening in spite of even the spiderman guy wanting to do it
Yeah no shit they nerffed Storm. She is basically a Goddess.
So is there any reason why this had to be 3d. i’d take 2d limited animation over this weird looking hybrid
Because they're cheap
It IS 2D. Go frame by frame and you can even spot the drawing inconsistencies.
Jubilee's overly slant eyes bother me. I think it wouldn't if it had been like that on the original.
I enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, the animation looks weird. I know what they were going for, but they could've done it better.
Also, I can't self-insert as that frick boy Jubilee is flirting with. So that's another point against the show.
Since Cinemaphile hates it, must mean it isn't woke and gay then.
The show is forcing the meme that tolerance is good and anyone who refuses to be tolerant is an evil monster who needs to be punished
That isn't really new for X-Men.
Tolerance is actually the old meta. The new meta isn't tolerance but actually opposing forces that are intolerant, an active instead of passive position on universal values. I was sort of surprised abt "tolerance" being suggested as sufficient given how society has degraded in some ways by essentially barely achieving the bare minimum. Maybe story will get there eventually.
But the FOH are completely in the right, tolerance IS extinction. It's fricking ridiculous that they went from being a generic hate group to somehow being the bad guys for wanting to preserve their race.
Mutants are human too!
Lesser humans. I'm tired of media using leftist propaganda to make anyone defending the future of their people as LE EPIC BAD GUY and that lesser races who never contribute anything need to be treated as equals.
If the future of your people involves the genocide of another people who just want to live their lives then you are the bad guy.
>it's leftist propaganda that races other than mine should not be subjugated
i yearn for the days when nazis on the internet proudly called themselves nazis instead of espousing every single mein kampf belief but then feigning outrage when someone makes the comparison
We don't want them subjugated, we want them to go back because they're civilizational cancer, which is why they're hated in the first place.
I apologize, you're not hitler, you're george wallace, that is a fair bit less atrocious
>believes human solidarity is leftist propaganda
>no different than identity politics being liberal
someone tell this anon about mutual aid being a factor of evolution
TMD
Mutants are born from humans. They are one in the same. The systematic preservation of a perceived racial or ethnic group is always a hateful project given humans have never been one particular race or the other and never will be. It is an especially evil task when mutants are many times the progeny of humans, their own children.
you don’t understand how genetics works do you
Love me some Jubilee
Who the hell voices Valerie Cooper? She sounds awful.
Catherine Disher, the old voice of Jean
Weird, she sounded pretty bad compared to what Jean sounded in the past.
She's a smoker, just like Lenore Zann
Why isn’t she voicing Jean? Is she not actually a white red head irl and had to be recast?
Voice sounds too old for Jean now
Me.
Cool show so far. It's not too tryhard to be adult or too kiddy.
>X-men are taking orders from Val Cooper
So they are taking the role of 90s X-Factor?
I'm a bit confused about Angel. In the original series, didn't he join the team after becoming Archangel or was he a former member and then returned?
I don't think so. Iirc the last we see of him he leaves after rogue takes some of his archangel internal darkness away after the apocalypse fight. Same episode as the famous/infamous Rogue ass shot.
So in the original he left the team? Because in this one they're showing that photo where he's with the original members Cyclops, Jean, Beast and Iceman(which in the '92 series had left the team).
He returns in a few episodes (the last big crossover and another where he needs the X-men's help to take on Apocalypse).
Although this is getting confusing; I was under the impression he wasn't an original member in this animated continuity (nobody recognises him when he first appears).
At least Rogue didn't know him, that much I'm sure, which could be argued that she joined after he had left, if that even happened.
I always got the impression that they weren't really sure how much of the 616 history they wanted to reference, which is why Iceman and Angel weren't really treated like veteran X-Men when they first show up but you still see references to the O5.
Iceman is dating Lorna on this, isn't he?
No she cucked him for Havok in his episode. He's in danger of being gaybended if he shows up now.
Yeah, exactly. Speaking of which,
reminds me if that Cyclops isn't even aware of his brother's existence in this continuity. He literally fought him in that episode without recognizing him or knowing why their powers cancelled each other out.
Which is funny because at this point Scott had reunited with his dad and the series acknowledged he had a younger brother.
The original show didn't even know. I think in the big Apocalypse finale, they showed him as one of O5 despite all the previous episodes where he wasn't acknowledged as an original XMen.
Warren and Bobby only show up a few times, and pre-series X-Men are only referenced in a few episodes, but they do make it contradictory.
Warren first shows up in S1 but Rogue has no idea who he is. When he shows up as Archangel the rest of the team isn't particularly shocked to see him (so you can't handwave it as "Scott and Jean just never told Rogue about Angel" or sth). So that episode implies he isn't in this continuity's OG team. S1 also has Gambit as the latest member prior to Jubilee, clearly being relatively new.
The Iceman episode (the only one that really features him) very clearly states he's a founding member who left, that's the whole plot, why Xavier and Scott have a bone to pick with him. Wolverine says it was "before his time", Storm implies she joined before Logan. I seem to recall (someone correct me) Angel not being shown in the flashbacks, but we never get a look at the whole team, mostly Iceman and Polaris (both members at the time).
Xavier Remembers from s4 honestly cannot be used for anything because pretty much half his memories are ahistorical and clearly meant to be allegorical (when he sees all the X-Men together, even though the dozen or so shown were literally never in the same room at the same time). Still, Angel is depicted clearly as a former X-Man.
Warren's appearances after s1 never show any indication he knew Scott or Jean or Hank prior to the show, but they don't show any evidence against it.
My headcanon, trying to fit all of this info in:
The O5 are the same, but Warren left very early, with none of the others really getting attached (Pete Best of the group). He's replaced soon by Polaris, and that's the group for a while. Iceman and Polaris quit. Morph joins next, then Storm, then Wolverine, then Rogue, then Gambit, then Jubilee in the pilot and Morph dies (not). But the show never held to a strict continuity before the pilot.

Interesting, any specific reason Morph joins so early for you? I always imagined him coming between rogue and wolverine
Purely because in the comics he was among the only 60s recruits, even if it did not last long. Realistically he probably joined after Storm, but I needed someone to replace Warren, Bobby and Lorna leaving early and I didn't want to have Logan or Storm joining while Scott or Jean are close to their teens, it just... feels weird. But Morph is the one character who could be placed anywhere between Lorna and Gambit imo, I agree.
I always got the impression that no one gave a shit about Morph. He seems resent to me
Hey, thanks for piecing this together. I'm interested in this since X-Men TAS is probably one of the only Marvel cartoons that didn't do an extensive origin episode for the group as a whole.
It's fascinating to see how so much matches the comics, yet is obviously changed or kept vague.
He had to at least have joined around or after Wolverine for them to have that kind of friendship. But then again he seemed to take to Jubilee not long after she joined, so who knows.
Before they wrote Wolverine to having sex with the students in the comics, I felt like on some level he cared about the kids. Because a person like him would have no real reason to put up with all the straight laced mutants at the school if the school itself wasn't a sanctuary. And it seems like he would adopt it as his purpose to make sure that the kids learned how rough it was out there and that the world wasn't all peaceful and shit like Xavier wants it to be. Logan has seen some shit in his life, seen actual trenches. Most people like that wouldn't sit idly by among kids and not try and teach them how to protect themselves and that's what he would likely do whenever he wasn't trying to get shitfaced and frick Jean.
He's like that stereotypical groundskeeper who scares the frick out of kids but if you have the balls to talk to him he'll take you fishing or something and tell you Scott's a homosexual.
In the original cartoon, Angel was just a random mutant Apocalypse turned into one of his Horsemen/into Archangel and it being explicitly established that Polaris instead, was a founding member in Angel's place and none of the X-Men really knew him.
HOWEVER, one of the later episodes post-Polaris reveal, had Angel in his blue/yellow costume in an old photo of an early version of the X-Men. Which can be handwaved as a continuity error given how the episode in question was one of the many episodes from season three that weren't aired until season five due to the animation studios fricking them up and them being super late getting to Fox for airing.
Depowering Storm was sure a choice.
well to be fair a "spiritual journey" arc is always fun, and she IS kind of a golden hammer in most circumstances, the stakes needed to be a bit higher so taking her out of the equation helps make desperation more realistic. So from both a technical perspective and a character writing one, I think it was a good choice.
It makes more sense to take out Jean Gray from the equation since she can literally one shot anybody not wearing Magneto's helmet
It makes sense, but it feels less like a necessary character arc and more like they needed her off the board for the plot to make any sense. It's way too obvious.
Yeah, they were always a bit weird about the team continuity prior to the first episode. You can infer from background photos and brief flashbacks that the original five existed in some form, but the details of how long before Wolverine and the other joined are extremely fuzzy.
One human with couple guns kicks nearly the entire x-men team's ass with Magneto backing them up. The same team that battled the dark phoenix and Shi'ar Empire.
Were the writers smoking crack or something?
I think it's funny that the X-Cutioner came in specifically to target Magneto and had equipment and moves to hard-counter everyone there EXCEPT Magneto
Not that it made much of a difference since even Magneto doesn't seem to remember that he can just fling him around like a ragdoll until after Storm gets shot
TBF, had Storm not intervened Magneto wouldn't have been a problem.
He didn't need a hard counter because the entire point was he just needs to be in range to get a good shot while the others distract everyone and Magneto can't block the shot.
Yeah but he didn't have any kind of backup plan in case Magneto decided to do literally anything besides stand there
I figured, how bad could the animation be?
I was not prepared for that level of jerkiness. If this show wasn't fairly well-written I'd have dropped it for that alone.
i think this was a great balance between pozzed and sovl and this really confuses and tilts Cinemaphile boomers because they dont want to admit it
The only pozzed thing is possible cuckoldry scenarios really.
>used to be called love triangles
>now called cuckoldry
Which is why I said possible, not that they will turn into that.
I mean I was more referring to the word used. It used to be that shit was just a love triangle. Now people call it cuckoldry. Language just changes.
Ppl use "cuckoldry" just for memes. It's more accurate to call these scenarios love triangles.
I can't take Magneto seriously, he's too metrosexual with his new costume. Bishop's mullet>new hair.
>bishop's mullet is superior
TRUE.
Enjoyable for what it is. I was mostly amazed that they kept the theme song without doing some needlessly trash modern remix of it like every show/movie does when doing a throwback to the OG theme.
It was pretty cool.
That said the episode 2 cliffhanger makes me think we're getting into some love triangle nonsense that we'd be better off without. Just focus on mutants vs racists for this season instead of that weird thing.
Ya gotta have a B-plot, anon, and romantic drama is a staple of the comics.
>getting into some love triangle nonsense
Getting into? Bro this is X-Men, love triangle bullshit is built into its DNA. 90% of the reason they probably did the Madelyne Pryor shit is so that Jean and Scott's relationship can fizzle and we can go back to Logan having some measure of a chance with her and milk that for all its drama.
As it is it's pretty pathetic that Scott and Jean are married with a kid on the way and Logan's still moping around and refusing to move on
That's his whole deal. Be angry > cry about Jean > repeat
This is what people who only watched the movies actually believe.
homie did you not watch TAS? That was his whole fricking deal. It's toned down in the movies.
That’s in character for Logan.
Everyone knows this.
lol at the /misc/tards upset at X-men being woke. It's always been the best thing in Marvel's catalogue, and always will be one of the best comic book superhero groups.
It's only woke if you're a homosexual who roots for mutie scum
Twitter morons are relating to the masked bigot more than anons in Cinemaphile, it's wild
seething
I read a bunch of people complaining it's woke and pushing an agenda, but it's typical X-Men. It's always been like that and always had the race allegory. I was expecting a blatant woke agenda being pushed.
It is the "woke" agenda. You morons think it's something separate because the writing is good, the themes and parallels to real life aren't always explicitly stated like you would otherwise need them to be in order to consider the work to be "woke".
The masked bigot's words could have easily been pulled from racists on any of these forums. We've all heard them say shit like that on a regular basis almost verbatim which is why they relate to him.
Have you considered that you just have bad values?
I think you might be agreeing with each other
It's becoming a universal constant in leftist media that leftists get upset when the audience roots for the cool chad "villains" and not the gay moron "heroes", because normal peoppe do not share their dysfunctional values.
>the audience
You mean terminally online losers
>cool chad villains
People your parents would have rooted against and your grandparents fought in war, but you support because you're an edgelord who thinks that makes him special
>normal people
definitely not you
"We are the silent majority" yell the people who can't ever seem to win the popular vote
rich coming from a marxist transvestite lmao
projection, cope and seethe b***hboi
dilate with a chainsaw
YWNBAM
>right wing virtue signalling baby
lol. Imagine being so pathetic you feel the need to virtue signal to a bunch of anonymous /misc/tards on the internet about pathetic culture war shit because you have zero personality.
right wing virtue signaling > leftytroon vice signaling
Haha, oh my god. You have zero self awareness, lol
Don't mock the disabled, anon, you're not an ex-President
meds
>blatant woke agenda
Please specify what this is and how it's different from the usual race/civil rights allegory.
>BIPOCs, LGBTQIAA+, non binary
and all the other Tumblr tier buzzwords that get thrown around now. Current woke is almost parody
Well, looking at the current cultural issue, have they done an episode about how plagiarism is okay if the person doing it is a mutant?
Everybody is being a complete moron, it's ridiculous
>muh x-men was always woke
>muh they made this literally who character
can't both sides just frick off?
It wouldn't be an issue if morons like you didn't keep giving them attention.
i'm afraid they reached some sort of critical mass where they feed off each other's toxic moronation and i'm trapped in the middle with no fricking way out.
It wouldn't be an issue if morons like you didn't keep giving them attention.
i'm not giving them attention.
What the frick is Magneto wearing? They made it look way gayer than it originally was.
they made it look LESS gay anon, by covering his exposed fricking sideboobs. Now it just looks like a tacky 80s costume, which it is
I can't believe we could've had Magneto's jiggling sidebobs animated.
So if this show goes on long enough will we see the X-Men face 9/11
Because no way they stay in the 3 years left of the 90s for the entire show.
There’s a difference between 2024 woke and X-Men being 70s civil rights race woke, imo
The only Current Thing in ‘97 is Morph being a genderless they/them so far.
>The only Current Thing in ‘97 is Morph being a genderless they/them so far.
Which again, has not even come up explicitly.
The only difference is that back then they didn't have people telling them that something was woke and that they should screech at it. These days they just screech "WOKE" at whatever their masters direct them to.
>at whatever their masters direct them to
Cool it with the anti-semitic remarks.
>hey this show is pretty cool
"SEE??? I TOLD YOU IF WE KEPT SHITTING OUT OUR WOKE SLOP, EVENTUALLY PEOPLE WOULD AGR-"
>yeah the white mask guy fighting for the humans is my favorite
"RRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
tippity top kek
imagine having morals so cartoonishly wrong that a literal children's cartoon villain is who you openly and voluntarily side with
You should stop getting your political views from children's cartoons.
You should reconsider your views if even children can understand they're wrong
Children are chuds though
You're a grown ass crossdressing adult turning to children's cartoons for your political views
Nope, I'm a grown ass adult who happens to believe in basic human rights and the culture, as well as the media we enjoy, agree with me. Sorry you weren't born during segregation times, anon, you missed your shot at being relevant.
>we
All your woke shit is failing, and nobody has embraced your subversive gay race communism no matter how hard it's pushed though.
Thank you for being on the right side of history! You are an amazing human, unlike right wing Christian fascists! Don’t forget to vote Biden in November!
Not that anon but I will be voting for Biden in November. Also, I hate right wing chuds.
I forgot to mention I'm trans btw
why are you so obsessed with trans people?
NTA but do you really believe people get their political views from cartoons, and not the other way around?
>Children are chuds
this dude is PROUD to be on the same mental development level as children
this is the average right-winger
>even children agree with m-I mean they're mentally moronic!
just take the L troony
Not him, but you're not even correct. The newest generation of kids are always woker than the last. The newest generation is super woke. Your ideas are quite literally dying out.
Woke isn't cool, they understand that you're moronic homosexuals.
haha, you're so out of touch with the newer generation it's actually quite funny. No wonder you're always surprised about election results.
well thankfully we have you, a childless grown man wearing women's clothing, while shoving a blunt object in his crotch wound to keep it from closing up after a failed attempt to become a woman, to tell us what children like and how attached to reality you are
Again, you're so obsessed with trans people. You know who isn't obsessed with that? Kids. And also just normal people. What I'm getting at is that you're just an extremely loud minority.
Kids are grossed out by you, none of them want to be like you.
statistically not true c:
OBSESSED
you are so obsessed with us
This argument is a good example of current woke culture kek. It wasn’t this obnoxious in the 90s.
I literally watched the first two episodes. It always was this woke. "Why are they treating me like this! I didn't want to be born this way!" It's so obvious you'd have to be a dolt to think it wasn't super woke.
Was this right after the mutant looted a Footlocker and assaulted a cop?
No, moron. Why don't you actually watch the show you claim to like. Cause it's obvious you haven't at all.
It's universally agreed that leftism makes everything progressively worse, but what would have been the best time to exterminate all marxists?
50s?
70s?
90s?
liberals are not leftists.
that means leftists don't support gun control because we think it's a capitalist agenda to disarm the working class and minorities. so by all means, frick around and find out.
>It wasn’t this obnoxious in the 90s
sheltered white child who never faced any adversity or discrimination
>first fight scene i see of this show online feature cyclopse having to be rescued by a woman
lol. literally every western action show of the last 10 years is like that. white guys being depicted as loser and weaklings so that women can look strong and smart and constantly rescue them or beat them up, yet we never see female characters losing fights to white guys or having to e be rescued by them
how is Logan still hung up with Jean? he's such a fricking loser
Has Logan said or done anything in two episodes to confirm he is still has feelings for Jean?
He's basically done nothing but mope and be passive aggressive for both episodes. Even when Scott and Jean are holding their new baby he's just standing in the doorway looking upset.
Oh that. I thought he was just being himself.
Okay my honest opinion without reading other posts.
I liked:
The colors. The action sequences. The portrayal of most characters.
I Hated:
The art. The shading especially was as if 10 year old me did it. Animation was rough. The pozzed dialogue and liberal undertone (was it really undertone?). Going back to the 90s.
Wishy washy:
The writing. The voice acting.
I'll keep watching it because I'm addicted to deep throating the X-wiener but I'm not feeling it. I get it it's X-Men, it's based around suppression and rights to exist but tone down the sociopolitical writing and give me the soap opera drama.
Proceed to to tell me my opinion is trash.
Your opinion is good, and you're probably good looking.
Thanks mate.
Your opinion is ok
>I Hated: The pozzed dialogue and liberal undertone
Which dialogue are you referring to? It honestly does not feel any different than the original show to me
>Going back to the 90s.
???
>Wishy washy:
The writing. The voice acting.
To me the writing is pretty good and the voice acting is mostly fine. This show is pretty faithful to the original in most aspects. The animation sucks I agree.
Also requesting the opening cyclops fighting scene from the first episode.
The art is good but the animation moves at 3fps with MS paint tier in between
That Rogue/Magneto scene had me rolling
>That went as smooth as a cat in a yarn store
>Dragged in like a kitty-cat's prize
>That cat's gotta stay in it's bag
There's corny southernisms and then there's this dumbass obsessed with cat analogy
>by that logic humans are neanderthals
There is literally neanderthal DNA in most humans.
if i cum over ants will they be humans too?
>I should be let off the hook for all my crimes because the Holocaust
Are they serious?
I want to kiss beast
Madelynn Pryor/Jean storyline
Morph changing into Asian bathing suit Psylocke was something I never expected in 2024.
Okay i'm not an x men fan, is it normal to inherit xavier shit and everyone get polite with him? Everyone acted like Magneto just slipped and did some whoopsies, but the guy tried to make Holocaust 2 Magnetic boogaloo. Everyone should act like Scott, everyone should be outraged. The shit rogue said is beyong moronic, no one in the room tried to make something so insane like magneto
I know i may sound dumb, because i didn't read nothing x men related and just watched evolution and watched the movies. So maybe this is just the continuation of the old cartoon.
And storm just crying and shitting herself is pathetic, holy shit.
In the comics there were more time spent Xavier burying the hatchet with Magneto.
Actually reading Claremont's run, there's still a wealth of storylines that have had no proper adaptions yet. A lot of people still don't know that for a number of years Storm was powerless.
They're trying to honor Xavier's will bc of the respect they have for him, not Magneto. They still don't trust Magneto. Scott's reaction is also rational given Magneto is Mutant Hitler with a possible change attitude.
In the comic, Xavier is prepping Magneto to take over when he dies (Magneto was already slowly turning good by this point, to the point that Xavier pissed off the Avengers and Fantastic Four by telling them to eat shit and demanding the X-Men align with Magneto instead of the other heroes) in UXM #195-200. While Logan is a bit pissy, he sort of gets over it quickly though after Secret Wars II, Magneto is largely absent from X-Men outside a couple of cameos though he's fully aware and a coconspirator in Storm's plan to fake the X-Men's deaths even as the two form a formal alliance with the Hellfire Club, with Magneto as the new White King.
The only X-Man to have serious issues with Magneto now leading the team and New Mutants is Cyclops but Maddie Pryor browbeats him into leaving the team for good, after he loses a fight with Storm.

>Keeps itself somewhat faithful to the original show, and by default somewhat faithful to the comics
Marlelbros...Are we back?
if they keep this kind of design for future marvel animation projects, make a new captain america show or something, the art style overlaid over top of the 3D models can be updated to different forms, it actually overall just objectively looks really nice, each individual "frame" looks like a classically animated shot most of the time, with only the occasional archerism. And none of picrelated, which i noticed with a chuckle when finally sitting down and watching through the original series.
"They made Jean Grey into a trannie" as though the original didn't give her a solid jawline
ok i dont read comics much but it seems like rogue is represented as being able to fly and seemingly having super strength in this. is that consistent with the canon? i just thought she had the touch of death/absorption thing.
Yeah, very early in the comics (I think her first appearance even) she grabbed Ms Marvel and absorbed her flight and strength powers but because she held on for so long she absorbed them permanently. I can't remember if the show went with the same explanation. For the longest time strength and flight were a core part of her powerset, it wasn't until the X-Men movie decided to just stick with the power absorption alone that other adaptations started doing the same.
We all thought Wolverine was so upset by Morph's death because they were good pals, turns out it was just because Morph would turn into Jean on the weekends
Wouldn’t Wolverine still smell the man-musk on Morph?
He takes what he can get
I mean, his method for cheering Wolverine up was to turn into Sabretooth and get physical
I hate social media so fricking much.
>by that logic, humans are neanderthals
except for the fact that mutants are 99.999% human with a gene that either gives them a slight debuff that causes them to look weird or an omega buff that gives them insane, powerful abilities.
