Because Walt legitimately did kill Hank by getting into drug dealing with a prison gang and then calling them to kill on his behalf not realizing the person after him was Hank, and asking them not to kill him isn’t enough to ‘not have killed him’. Now Walt Jr didn’t know the details, but in Ozymandias Marie and Skyler did correctly tell him Walt was being arrested as a drug manufacturer, so when Walt comes home and admits he was involved in the death of Hank, Walt Jr correctly knows that means Walt has caused some serious fricking trouble and Hank is dead because of it, likely even correctly knowing Walt got away because Hank was killed. Beyond that, Hank was actually a more assured and present person than Walt, Hank was a better role model and actually had integrated his authority as a man into a productive, outward life you could access and communicate with, while Walt had hidden his will and personality so deep in insecurity and a fake normalcy, it was like being raised by someone who didn’t care and wouldn’t apply himself in life.

Season one he’s boasting and making racist jokes and picking on everyone he comes across, including Walt Jr at times, confident he’s the hero boss and hiding his distress over killing Tuco, later he assaults Jesse in a rage like he has a right to. He’s at the lowest when he’s freshly disabled, but in recovering from that he learns to accept therapy, talk to his wife about his personal feelings, be humble and admit when he’s not in full control, and ultimately even offers Gomez the arrest on Walt, before Gomez lets him have it. He changes drastically

Because him, just like Skyler and Marie were just written to be part of Walt's dogshit life and were shallow as a puddle as a result, you can see throughout the series they were never intended to develop much, so much so that Vince thought about him getting killed at one point.
Walter being well thought out is the reason the show is so good alongside Bryan Cranston being a good actor, the starting supporting cast is just not that interesting or well thought out
