It's not by any means kino but it has a few ok-good episodes. Best ones in order:
    The Viewing
    Pickman's Model
    The Outside
    Graveyard Rats
    The Autopsy

Autopsy is the best and the only good thing in this 10-hour slog

Nah. Autopsy is ok but it's not the best, it's The Viewing (despite the cringe heavyhanded forced wokeness of the survivors)

Oh, I forgot The Autopsy. Cut half an hour out of that and you have an okay episode.

      My rank:

      1. [8] The Murmuring = [2] The Autopsy = [7] The Viewing
      2. [5] Pickman's Model
      3. [1] Lot 36 = [6] Dreams in the Witch House
      4. [3] Graveyard Rats
      5. [4] The Outside

I liked Lot 36 because it was an original story that hit a lot of the traditional Lovecraftian beats. Cool looking monster, forgotten tome appraised by occultists, secrets buried within urban decay. If you guys want a story that it essentially riffs off of (in addition to Lovecraft stories), read The Horror at Chilton Castle by Joseph Payne Brennan. Similar story but cooler than Lot 36. Yes it had some social politics in it, but it didn't ruin it imo.

I love The Murmuring because it's a sentimental story and a great one to end on. Honestly I think The Murmuring is my favourite of the lot. Poignant, evocative, and a bit life affirming.

Pickman's Model would have been better if it didn't go the Color Out of Space route with the excessive gore at the end.

        >The Outside
It's very enjoyable. It follows the tropes of horror comedy episodes from Amicus, Body Bags or Creepshow movies, there's a funny Dan Stevens cameo and Kate Micucci's very nice butt. It has an 80s flavor that's nicely done

You're right it felt like a Creepshow episode, or an Amicus segment, but a bad one.
It had just about as much content as a half hour segment Amicus segment or Creepshow episode, stretched to a feature length.
It was also very meandering and unfocused, like the part with the goop doppelganger in the basement.
Felt like a bad and slow episode of Black Mirror.

Oh shit. He did Pickman's model? I need to at least see that episode. Hopefully it doesn't get fricked up.

It deviates a bit it has good production values, bold visual content and it has nothing woke about it.

It has not. Rewatch it. Other episodes do, including my favorite (The Viewing), but Pickman's Model is woke-free

Just watched it with a friend. While it does deviate quite a bit. It is a fantastic lovecraft story. Really impressed.

I am that friend, can confirm it was pretty good and spooky and the only thing that could be construed as woke is that the main character didn't smack the shit out of his wife for talking back

True. The Dreams in the Witch House ep was a tonal disaster, truly terrible and disjointed, but Pickman's Model, while not perfect, was enjoyable and adult in nature, devoid of attempts to sugarcoat it

Every single episode was not just "not good", but generally flat out awful trash. Even the one's that may have been nicely directed, like the alien invasion one or the skin cream one, were story slop. Even Masters Of Horror managed a few genuinely great episodes. This was just bad all the way through, and I'm a pathetic simp for horror and anthology shows.

But hey, at least it wasn't Nu Twilight Zone or Nu Amazing Stories bad.

I detested Lot 36 because of the woke idiocy and found Dreams etc disjointed and The Murmuring very predictable though gorgeously filmed. All of the other eps are fun

I’ll tell you this — I have been watching horro and even brutal grisly shit since I was 10 or so and the autopsy episode for whatever reason made me pause it due to nausea. I have no clue why I reacted that way but maybe I got pulled into the story or something. I only liked a few episodes out of this series and that one I have to commend for making me feel that way

The Ethiopian Orthodox monastery in rural New England was very bizarre. They wanted a black nun but I guess they thought having a Catholic one didn't make sense?
