>is every popular show tryhard trash to you?
You're seriously trying to make this comment for THIS fricking show? Look Butcher, Homelander, and Hughie have their charm, but the writing is crap. Every good moment is undermined by juvenile gory or sexual. Trying too hard to be "adult". I'm no prude but have some subtly or finesse
Homelander is better in the show, but Butcher and Hughie are better in the comic.
The comic is actually less dumb, even it comes off as dumber thanks to the poorly edited dialogue and shitty art.
The comic isn't really worth reading, and the show isn't worth watching.
Now frick off.
I mean, you're free to watch whatever you want mate, but this guy pretty much hit the nail on the head. Look at these c**ts, jerking themselves off at how bold, edgy and gory The Boys is and how much they love the writing, yet I guaren-frickin-te you that if you ask them what the Boys is about, they will FIRST describe Homelander rapemurder adventures and then, the Boys.
In their attempts to twist the nipple of Garth's gore fantasy, they forgot what made the Boys good: the frickin Boys themselves. Shit mate, remember when Hughie killed a guy? That was nasty. Remember Love Sausage being an absolute bro? Stillwell being a brilliant c**t?
I'd say do both. Watch the TV show, get tired of Billy being moronic, read the comic, get tired of the writing, aaand back to the TV show.
Stillwell is the only good character and I am continually impressed that Ennis managed to make a guy saying his name one of the most 'oh shit' moments in a superhero comic.
>Stillwell is the only good character
And, yet, he was utterly wasted in the show. Funny, they realized they fricked up by not having him, so they threw in some replacement.
But, this show is so heavy into the Homelander wankfest, that this scene is still never going to happen.
Disagree, I think the comic is worth reading. Ending was underwhelming but it had a fun cast with nice moments. I haven't watch the TV show beyond some scenes and clips so I can't really say anything about it.
The comic has it's moments but ennis goes try hard and trashy in a lot of places. He could have made a way better comic if he toned it down. I don't even mean like the blowjob at the beginning. Like I found that shocking but still believable. It was the x-men parody and several other things that were just so cartoonishly stupid that it takes you out of it.
The show's been better since season 1. They just ditched the Black Noir storyline entirely and just made Homelander the psycho he was tricked into being and the show is much better for it.
The show's greatest sin is its handling of Hughie and Butcher's relationship. If they really are leading Butcher to the same ending as his comic counterpart, it won't have the same impact.
>Likes the show
Both were built OPM fisting.
They're both shit, OP. It's edgy tryhard trash.
is every popular show tryhard trash to you? molest grass

I think the issue is that youre looking for subtlety and finesse in an adaptation of the boys, man
another day of this thread. jannie Black folk did a great job ruining this board.
Modern Hollywood being what it is, give it a few more seasons to burn up all that goodwill
So when edgy stuff is going to be normal so people stop overdoing it?
It already is
so this is what people loved so much
not reading that lefty meme
>there are people who think this is better than the show
lol
lmao
>there are people who think "g-go away, yellow guy!" is quality nazi dialogue
The comic wasn't complete pussy shit like the TV series.
>tfw will never get to experience non-gay gay sex with Homelander
It's just a bro-job, Anon. You telling me you never had a bro-job before?
I remember reading this from the FCBD issue. Very first time I touched anything related to The Boys.
The comics are absolutely 2edgy4u garbage and I say this in every the boys thread
>it's yet another thread about how morons read The Boys at a purely surface level and completely missed the entire point
I bet you window lickers still think it was about superheroes
>Its deep bro!
Frick off Garth
It's not deep at all, it's all painfully obvious which is why it's astounding how many people miss it completely.
So lack of depth and being cheap garbage is good to you?
>Look mom I'm being intentionally moronic on the internet
At least you admit it
Homelander is better in the show, but Butcher and Hughie are better in the comic.

MY OPINION IS FINAL CHUD

Disagree, I think the comic is worth reading. Ending was underwhelming but it had a fun cast with nice moments. I haven't watch the TV show beyond some scenes and clips so I can't really say anything about it.
It's entertaining, heartwarming, and funny at parts, but I wouldn't recommend it to most people looking for a comic to read.

Both the show and the comic have their problems
Someone needs to do a version that takes the best parts of both
>gettin fillied by ennis
ennis sucks,bro
The show's greatest sin is its handling of Hughie and Butcher's relationship. If they really are leading Butcher to the same ending as his comic counterpart, it won't have the same impact.
they're apples and oranges really. I enjoy both and I think people who wanted or expected a 1:1 adaptation of the comics are dumb.
you're just too feminine to handle the comics, grow a chin
>grow a chin
Jokes on I'm growing second one already
