You gotta pick one Cinemaphile.
Nimona would've been on this list, but I would bet my dick on the chopping block that Netflix will submit the Aardman movie instead.

I wouldnt have shown up
The Boy and the Heron
Miyazaki better win a second Oscar before he dies.
And while we're at it, it should also win Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Sound, and everything else it is eligible for.
I'd say Spider-verse or Boy and the Heron have the best chance of winning. I'd pick Boy and the Heron though.
Give it to the chickens.
Why would they do that when Aardman can submit for themselves? Not to mention in years past, there were TWO Netflix nominees.
OP is wrong. ^ is correct. Although I personally don't think Ardmann will get one of the nominations unless it suddenly starts winning things between now and the Academy nominations going out. And since critics aren't short-listing, it's highly doubtful.
Spider-verse since it's the only one that my hypothetical children talk about the most
This, the judges are on record as not watching the movies and just going with the one with the most media exposure
The power of BLM will win this one
I remember those quotes from like over a decade ago, surely enough time has passed that people that the category seriously now?
Black folk won't be willing Wish into winning, whitey
Wish is Spanish-coded.
She isn't spanish, she is a Moor
The black bloc vote is split this year
Well I've only seen Spider-verse so that one.
Definitely not Wish. Elemental doesn’t deserve it. Spiderverse does.
ATSV, no contest. Elemental is sweet but not particularly original, Wish is shit, and Boy is just another round of Miyazaki emotionally blackmailing the critics with his endless “I’m totally retiring this time, you’d better appreciate me” shtick.
If it wasn't for Heron ot should be Leo
The Boy and the Heron
>Worst misaki film
>Netflix slop
>Le interracial relationships is le good movie #4793 that Disney spent 300million dollars to make ugly
>Capship marvel slop that people go onions for because "Muh shuttering animation"
>The worst Disney movie to ever be made
Remember 2001, when every single nominee was a great movie with lots of soul and effort put into it? Yeah, good times.
At least the Boy and the Heron has good 2D animation.
I'm an academy voter?? Uhhh the Disney one haha my kids like it
Spiderverse is most likely the winner, since both Disney movies were complete drips and the other two probably won't be considered.
But I submit an alternative: what if, instead, Super Mario Bros. won the BAF Oscar?
The misaki one is definitely better, but its also one of the worst misaki films so it probably wont win.
I have only seen Elemental and Spiderverse, so I choose Boy and the Heron because it'd be cool to see a 2d movie win again
I ain't picking asiatic shit
I aint picking Black person shit
I ain't picking mudslime shit
Guess I'm picking chicken shit
What if the turkey movies turns out to be a 10/10?
Free Birds came out a decade ago anon.
I'll bet my dick on the chopping block that this does get nominated
It is terrible and somehow a bastardization of what its based off of, so probably
So was Shrek
Look how that turned out
Nimona doesn't have Smashing Pumpkins to save the movie
They can submit more than one movie anon, Netflix can.
I don't care who wins, i just want Disney/Pixar to lose
I pick the obscure freakin chinese frickin thing that nobody ever freakin saw
Black personman will win tho
>you're an Academy Voter
Oh boy, I love role-playing. H-here I go!
>Wish. Even though I was outside of the theater taking calls for more than half the film's runtime, my 5 year old daughter I left unattended seemed to like it, so I pick that one. Everything else is on this list I didn't see and/or is stupid Chink shit.
It's already Spider-verse's award it's just a question of what else gets nominated. I feel like most of these lists don't include any indie films and you know the academy's going to find some artsy stuff to make the list look more respectable.
It's wild how Nimona keeps getting brought up in award discussions it's so mediocre is it really just because it has gays?
The only purpose of Oscars is to promote American/Anglo culture and to preserve their international monopoly. Chihiro won because that year's competition was laughable, but any time there is a half decent American movie, even if there are better foreign alternatives, you already know who is going to win.
Chicken run. I can only like things that everyone else dislikes. My opinions are based solely off what other people think because I'm a complete tool.
