Streaming is the current nexus of entertainment. That needs to be fully acknowledged. Even though I'd want CN to go back to the 2003-2006 era, we must think about $$$$ and how that relates to nostalgia. Mainline cable is dying, but some of my ideas like #3-5 would be used for cable as well as streaming
>1: New roster of CN shows, take the What A Cartoon series and use it to see what shorts have long term potential and what don't rather than just make a show straight up. Maybe even have voting polls that can't be easily abused?? People may hate this focus group approach but it is how PPG, Billy and Mandy, and KND were made
>2: Cartoon Network exclusive streaming service. HBO Max is imploding, as a user of the service, I see that new animation aimed at kids struggles compared to the shows made pre HBO Max or adult animated shows. There needs to be a focal point, so either MAX steps up its promotion of CN originals or CN needs to set up an individual streaming service
>3: A nostalgia driven Adult Swim alternative. Like how Pluto TV and Freevee has live shows, CN City would be the equivalent, new and old shows would be produced with new CN City bumpers.
>4: New Toonami. For New Toonami, set up deals with multiple distribution owners of the potential anime hit so that Toonami is THE place for these shows. Give people a reason to watch Toonami. And also present original shows that are aimed at anime viewers as well as serious animation fans. A modern equivalent to IGPX and even something like an adult oriented Motorcity/Megas XLR could give new life to Toonami.
>5: New [Adult Swim]. Like my What a Cartoon Idea, make an anthology of animated shorts and see which ones have tv potential. Grab weird animation from foreign places. Have a 2 hour block of just classics like Space Ghost C2C. And speaking of Space Ghost, have a spiritual successor by using some other outdated cartoon. That SG C2C successor would have clips and moments posted on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, whatever in order to attract young people. You may hate it, but new audiences help support viewership alongside old audiences. This doesn't mean pandering to the younger demographic, but doing a unique Space Ghost like show and seeing if zoomers and gen alpha like it
>6: CN Fridays livestream show. Bring in 2 hosts to host new and old Cartoon Network shows and sometimes have MST3K styled commentary. Maybe even have them play old CN video games. 2 human hosts, 2 animated puppets. Yes, there maybe a snafu and someone might say frick, so you gotta hire improv types who have self control and thick skin and won't let trolls mess with them.
I have other ideas, but this is all I can articulate easily. CN is struggling thanks to HBO Max's now cancelled attempt at fully merging with Discovery. Now that Amazon Prime has Ed Edd n Eddy and the New Batman Bruce Timm/Paul Dini series, some of my ideas could potentially be explored

The key is changing the monetization - the days of network ad revenue and cable sub fees funding the business are fricking over and streaming fees will never make up the difference.

First, go absolutely ham on teen titans go merchandise and push ttgo as much as humanly possible on YouTube kids.
Second, focus in HARD on the female nerd/hipster demo. They have cash they don't mind spending and intense brand loyalty when it comes to characters they like. There's no need for broad appeal anymore, hyper-target them with soft boys and magical kemono adventures and shit and they'll buy everything. Plushes, hoodies, keychains, art books, special editions, you name it.
As for boys - it's going to be very difficult to make money off of animation aimed at them. Boys tend to play with video games over toys, and they generally don't buy a lot of disposable merch. The best options are big swings that could fail miserably, but you might be able to make money by either using a show to sell tickets to "experiences," or by directly shilling games in the animation.
Finally AXE Teen Titains GO! and make a actual real superheros show that doesn't mock the genre and be actual heroes.

It was good enough to where it definitely deserved way more seasons than it got. That's why it gets talked about so much, it got canned way before it had the chance to say what it wanted to say. It was also one of the last action cartoons on the channel so it represents a bygone era.
I'd try to buy the IP to My Life as a Teenage Robot from Nickelodeon and offer Rob Renzetti the chance to either finish or reboot his show, with more freedom than Nickelodeon gave him. I'd also try bringing back other older IPs, but avoid the Teen Titans GO! And Thundercats Roar idiotified versions of reboots like the frickin' plague. Instead, I'd try to find more shoemakers who make more mature ideas like Genndy Tartovsky with Samurai Jack or Primal. Maybe start re-airing older quality shows like the Conan the Barbarian Animated series?
