You frickers don't actually use "smart TVs" right???
>Buy mini PC >Hook it up via 4k HDMI cable >Use Edge browser because the DRM allows for the highest bitrate (yes, using Firefox or Chrome shows lower bitrates so while you're paying for HD streaming you're getting like 720p) also have AdBlock >Watch on projector
That's why you use Edge, with a HDMI or Display Port. And you can't have a second monitor plugged in. The DRM shit refuses to play sometimes if you have a second monitoe.
They refuse to let you watch 1080p on a computer. You HAVE to buy some crap like roku or amazon fire sticks just to get the resolution you are paying for. The purposefully make it this way just to frick us PC users over out of spite.

The fact that you have to buy any extra bullshit is insulting.

Unfortunately I live with my family and the rest of them aren't autistic enough to configure a mini PC just to watch some web videos. It's easier to get a cheap box, install several FOSS video apps on them then teach my family how to use them.
I don't feel like stuff such as Stranger Things is too politicized. It's actually somewhat refreshing how it's set in 80s and there is no mention of racism of any kind. As if it never existed and they are just telling the story that has nothing to do with that. No gays, only a lesbian and nobody cares about those (btw she wouldn't be lesbian either if the psychotic actress didn't demand her character to be gay).

You'd never know with the way it's casted. Half of Hawkins is black in Season 4
Their populations have risen in the midwest in recent times, but in 1980s Indiana especially, nearly everyone would've been white. Not half the police force, half the school, and half of every friend group

It's as fantastical as nobody calling them Black folk in the 80s. I'd rather take that than have 1 token Black family and spend half the show dedicated to their struggle in an all white community.

But they already had the token black family and they didn't focus on them or race at all. You just saw Lucas and went "oh okay, that's the black kid in town" the way the black kid from IT or the chinese kid in The Goonies were the only non-whites

Maybe you're right. Thankfully I'm not a moronic incels so I didn't even notice the change.
Criterion is cool for having the audio commentaries and special features available as well. That's often something you can't get without buying physical
Used to have Netflix, too, but I cut off my subscription about a month ago. Was getting too expensive, & I did not watch all of them enough to justify paying $38 per month. People don't need more than TWO streaming services, in my opinion & experience. With three, you just end up neglecting one or two of them.
Ummm CC not available in europe?
In fact you don't even need those.
They are both buggy and lag like crazy. Amazon and Hulu are both pretty good.
>buggy and lag like crazy
I haven't had any problems with HBO. Your tv must have garbage software.
It frequently drops, and I've seen other similar complaints online

Most new TVs nowadays are "smart" by default in order to sell ads.
I just plug in my android streaming boxes into mine and call it a day.
Android stream box is fine until it stops being supported.
Lots of services intentionally make it so full HD video won't play on PC no matter what browser. It will be 720 or lower.
That's why you use Edge, with a HDMI or Display Port. And you can't have a second monitor plugged in. The DRM shit refuses to play sometimes if you have a second monitoe.
Or you could get a job.

Or I could just not be a low income b***h.
let me guess, you "need" more?
You don’t need anything else.
What is this
/thread
got it open right now lol, downloading uncut gems
And Sonarr + Radarr plus Plex.
Now you really don't need anything else.
qb is the real answer, i watch morbius all day on repeat
When I browse HBO max I feel like there is literally nothing there. Never had this problem on Netflix.
You're better off not watching anything than politicized Netflix

Are you saying that black people didn't exist in the 80s?

HBO Max has Barry
This.
>169432714 it’s Qbittorrent, torrenting
Just watched this kino.
Based. Check out Blue Collar or Light Sleeper by the same director.
if you still haven't seen most of the movies in their library you're a fricking pleb
>raised by wolves canceled
No need for hbomax any more
Criterion is cool for having the audio commentaries and special features available as well. That's often something you can't get without buying physical
Funny I’m redownloading Taxi Driver off of PicoTorrent right now, Russian sites are truly the goat
No one cares, broke little b***h.
What's HBO Max's old movie selection like? They own TCM, right?
Yeah, there's a pretty good selection. Watched Solaris, Lady Snowblood, Saturday Night Fever last weekend
Disney+ & HBOMax, for me.

>redditerion
Isn't there a new Batman movie for you to watch?
for me it's
>The Criterion Channel
>Mubi
>qbittorrent
all I need
>He doesn't subscribe to OVIDtv
Fricking yikes
What do you do when you've watched all of the only decent shows on HBO Max, all of which were made 10+ years ago?
The problem with the Criterion channel is that I'm only interested in maybe 20% of it's films. TCM and HBOmax would be a better combination.
I wish CC was on PS4
And Netflix, of course.
