Sarah lost her love in the first movie, had her son taken away from her, suffered from intense PTSD as consequence. Imo her biggest failure is just losing any humanity after that, as shown when she wants to murder the innocent developer dude.
Ellen lost her whole crew in the first movie, had several fails while trying to fight the alien, like blowing up the ship for no reason, also had PTSD afterwards but got dragged back in, lost everyone again at the end of the second movie

The size of the prey has never been a deciding factor in Predator movies. The predator has ripped apart many intimidating and big men with no issues. The size of the prey has never been a deciding factor in Predator movies. The predator has ripped apart many intimidating and big men with no issues.
