You guys always go on about how Adam Sandler movies aren’t funny and they’re all trash but what’s your response about this kino? And don’t give me any bullshit excuse like this had a better director or screenwriter. This ADAM SANDLER movie is fantastic. Frick you Cinemaphile
The movie makes me uncomfortable but he's very good in it.
Is everything after he inexplicably turns into a badass just a hallucination? Did he actually get shot and is bleeding out on the street?
He had love on his side, he was unstoppable.
it's a paul thomas anderson film that stars adam sandler, not an adam sandler movie. big difference. but I don't dislike proper adam sandler movies either and in fact love most of them.
Bullshit excuse; I already said don’t use those, pal. Try again.
>This ADAM SANDLER movie is fantastic.
it's not an excuse and I already said I'm a fan of his work. I love PDL but to call it an adam sandler movie is inaccurate. do I really need to spell it out for you? sandler is capable of giving great performances when he gives a shit and has good material to work with.
Sorry to break this to you in case you didn’t actually pay attention to this flick; it’s 99% Adam Sandler. It’s all Adam Sandler, all the time. This is an ADAM SANDLER kino.
I guess I do need to spell it out for you. and in order to do that I need to give some define some terms so you can understand exactly what I mean since you're incapable of reading comprehension.
adam sandler movie = a movie where sandler is creatively and artistically at the reigns and is the main driving force. examples of this are little nicky, happy gilmore, bill madison, big daddy, etc. they are from his own production company. that's what an adam sandler movie is
films such as punch drunk love, funny people, and uncut gems are films which he IS the star of, but the creative and artistic driving forces behind those films are not adam sandler. to a layman every single movie he stars in is an adam sandler movie, and I can see how cinematically illiterate people can conflate these two things, but when people on the internet b***h about disliking "adam sandler movies" the former is what they're b***hing about. low brow comedy, fart jokes, grossout gags, weird voices, over the top yelling, use of the same actors in supporting roles, snl cameos, obvious product placements, etc are what makes an "adam sandler movie".
Words words words. Just admit you were wrong about hating Adam Sandler movies.
you stupid fricking homosexual I never said I disliked sandler or his movies (most of them at least, he has made some stinkers) at all. end yourself
Wow, short temper. Almost as short as Adam Sandler’s character in Punch Drunk Love.
impressive how you were to type that with your toes whilst getting facefricked and jerking off 2 other guys with your hands
I didn't do anything. I'm a nice man. I mind my own business.
this guys israeli profile makes me absolute sick to my fricking stomach. remind me why these rats are allowed to exist among us?
you sound like a redditor. A lion does not concern itself with the opinions of sheep
Punch Drunk Love is good but as far as adam sandler criticism goes this board certainly likes Uncut Gems and I think most of us like Little Nicky too
this is a capeshit flick, sandler is superman
You're israeli. Only israelites like that movie. Same with Uncut Gems.
For everyone else they're boring af.
He's outshined completely by Hoffman, but he gives a passable performance.
The love interest was also fantastic
As were his sisters
Very true.
Yeah, that's basically my point though. The big climax of the movie should be the hero's time to shine but PSH sweeps in and steals the show.
PSH is barely in the movie, he has one good yelling scene
Frick off Black person Sandlar was as good as Hoffman in this movie.
That scene where he tries to talk to his sister's husband was kino as frick.
nah they were on the same level
PSH is quite literally the greatest actor ever, he outshines everyone in everything he does.
the whole subplot about the miles from the pudding is by far the best part of the movie
>You guys always go on about how Adam Sandler movies aren’t funny and they’re all trash
YOU BLEW ITTT!!!
That movie gave me a headache
PTA deserves the credit, a good enough director can get blood from a stone. It was his vision, Sandman just happened to hitch his wagon to a star.
Although I will say that good comic actors (anyone who has the empathy to milk laughs out of their audience) typically make great dramatic actors, because comedy essentially comes from pain.
See also Eternal Sunshine. Jim Carrey is manic and annoying, but he was (arguably) Kino in that, due to Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman (some israelite, don't remember who)
Adam Sandler is a great actor, horrible producer. No one on here has ever said anything different. Punch Drunk Love is kino. Uncut Gems is kino.
Sandler is legit a great actor. He just has a trashy sense of humor
>did you just tell me to go frick myself?
it’s kino. don’t listen to anyone who hates adam sandler. even his shitty movies are kino. adam is literally the closest we’ll ever get to an old-school fa/tv/irgin who happens to be a movie star. if you watch him in interviews he’s constantly spilling spaghetti but manages to make it funny most of the time
Glad to see some love for the guy. He seems like a good dude.
