i liked it
less tonally divergent from the comics than snyder's flick
followed the comic narrative rather than retconning it
it's just generally a superior more entertaining product
> followed the comic narrative rather than retconning it
Yeah, like that part where Dr. Manhattan fricked around on Europa creating “life” in the form of replicas of two people he saw fricking when he was twelve, then returning to Earth to become a black policewoman’s black husband instead of leaving the galax-
>yes he would do that >You know if you pretend that was the end >And there wasn't a massive character revelation that the entire finale hinges on >I literally cannot imagine a character not being exactly the same from middle to end if something changed he'd just reset because that's all I understand
Yep, you have to be exactly this stupid to like this show. This level of idiot, any higher and you'd think it was stupid. Way to fall below the bar.

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2022-10-19/watchmen-hbo-embarrassing-comics-creator-alan-moore >Before “Watchmen” debuted in 2019, Moore said he received a “powder blue barbecue apron with a hydrogen symbol” (inspired by his character Doctor Manhattan) and a letter from the showrunner. (Moore didn’t name him, but Damon Lindelof was the showrunner.) >Moore said the letter — which began, “Dr. Mr. Moore, I am one of the bastards currently destroying Watchmen” — was full of “neurotic rambling.” >“When I saw the television industry awards that the Watchmen television show had apparently won, I thought, ‘Oh, god, perhaps a large part of the public, this is what they think Watchmen was?,’” he added. “They think that it was a dark, gritty, dystopian superhero franchise that was something to do with white supremacism. Did they not understand Watchmen?”
Wtf is Alan Moore actually a Drumpftard chudcel? How can he not see that his work was actually about racial oppression?
It was alright. Decent enough to be worth a watch if you're bored. Not good enough to write home about.
The whole idpol shit was basically just a distraction to get attention.
Racism just doesn't serve to replace impending nuclear war as the backdrop. It's also more straight forward. The villain is obviously wrong and the story doesn't raise any moral conundrum for the heroes to side with or oppose her. No twist that forces them to compromise their idealism.
It looks good and had an awesome sound track though.
One of the greatest examples of waste potential. The first few eps were good, and /misc/baiting aside, it seemed like it was going to have some interesting developments with its political parallels. But holy shit does it lose the plot. Everything it’s building just becomes a big stupid red herring. Bringing Manhattan back was a mistake. I refuse to believe the last 3 episodes were what was originally intended. Seems like somebody got scared that it was gonna flop and demanded rewrites.
After the series was received anti-positively, they released a story online. It was Laurie's partner, and he goes to jail for being a vigilante. Why they kept any of his scenes in the show is beyond me when they clearly didn't have a plan for him.
No I don't. Because I never watched it.

okay lindelof
It was really good before last two episodes which are fricking terrible and show Lindelof didn't understand Manhattan at all.

Oops.
yes he would do that in the book he makes a city on mars and was a working with a bomb on top of the fact he is naturally horny

What a great ending
This isn't reddit, dude. You don't have to pretend.

another right wing chud exposed, how dare he deviate from the accepted narrative in a single aspect, he is literally trump
They tried so hard for this to be the next "big show"

I never watched it, I love the movie and saw Dr. Harlem and said no thank you.
Unironically the best writing on tv since Mad Men, but seething white boys can’t understand it.
All I remember are the memes
>I am tired of the police. I am tired of being caught in the tangle of their handcuffs.
>intricate molecular energy swirling within a vaguely human shape, alien and majestic
vs
>dis homie blue
Reminder that this character was named Calvin Abar
And the giant Dr. Manhattan dildo was named Excalibur
Because he's Laurie's Ex, Cal Abar
The central plot twist of the series (Angela's husband was Dr. Manhattan all along) was revealed with a literal dick joke
the most moronic reveal on television, hands down.
Deep down, I think Alan Moore probably liked it.

Kek I met a girl who wrote an entire PhD on this series. What a hysterical waste of time.
Jesus.
Hope she got rejected
>In order to grade her dissertation I have to watch the show
Automatic F
was this the first "it was actually always meant to be one season!" show?

Also, who was the fricking slippery man???
>Also, who was the fricking slippery man???
a good question for another It Was Aways Meant To Be Mini Series
>It Was Aways Meant To Be Mini Series
Oh, they're still using that one ?
No I think they got tired of getting BTFO each time they tried

kek
I REALLY ENJOYED IT...i DONT LIKE WHAT YOU LIKE SO WHAT

Say what you will about Snyder but his movies are the definition of SOUL. Watch any of the Watchmen BTS
what did the sniveling israelite even do since then?
they claimed he didn't even want to name another season so what was so important?
