I was a big fan of the Willow movie but I lasted about 10 minutes that show was the ultimate “it’s fantasy but it’s actually set in LA in 2022.”
I liked the original too, and might have actually got around to watching the series to decide if it was really as bad as practically everyone said. Then they nuked it from orbit, and torrenting it requires more effort than I'm willing to expend.
If they were smart, they could have retconned the original into being set in the ancient past of the Star Wars galaxy.

I don't hold the style of Star Wars in any particular reverence. I'm a big fan of film franchises completely abandoning the music style they're known for, refusing to use any of the classic motifs, stuff like that.
Star Wars is literally 50% John Williams music. SW would not work without him. This is one of the most overlooked reason for Disney's flops. The music score is muted or neutered in the Sequels and tv shows.
