>young, super genius, super hot, female warrior
>absolutely nobody has ever complained about her character in any way
What went right? It's all so terrible on paper, but they pulled it without it ever being an issue to us Chuds. Everyone likes Sam.

Back to your h*nter threads troony homosexual
You know how if you hit someone on the same spot over and over they become overly sensitive? Maybe if you morons stopped pushing womeme inferiority complex for only 1 seconds people would be able to recover.
she was extremely cringe at the start, supposedly to the point that the actress herself requested they dial it down
As I recall, later episodes/movies made fun of that "genitals on the inside" line from the pilot. I think it helped a lot how much the creatives were winking at the camera when writing the show. They were trying to entertain rather than beat THE MESSAGE into your head, and that intention came through.
When she talked science n shit, she didnt do it in a condescending girlboss way like you see in female leads these days. Her character would simply just "geek out" rather than make it a point to show off her skills to try and make her male teammates look stupid (O'neill however would then voluntarily say something to play up being idiotic though lol). She brought value as an equal who played her part in the mission with minimal ego, took orders like everyone else, would willingly risk her life for her friends, and
she held her own when fighting but not in an over the top way that would make her seem like an unbelievable superwoman soldier.
Most of the time Carter imo was just written like a male character that happened to be played by a hot woman.
it was organic isn't of intentional for the wokeist of woke slop narratives
Scully effect 2.0
For me, it's teenage Samantha Carter.
Ew. Miss me with that feminist woke shit
Funny coincidence seeing this pop up while I just started the show.
Question, is the sequel series as good as the original? I just remember hearing stargate is new, but not whether Atlantis was part of that.
Atlantis was good.
The original stargate movie and the showtime show are amazing. After season 7 sci-fi bought the rights and the quality dropped but it was watchable until season 9 when they introduced the Ori and shit the bed.
all 10 seasons of sg-1 and 5 seasons of atlantis are better than anything else you could be watching.
The first ~4 seasons are fantastic. After that it's just solid. Atlantis is solid. Universe is different, a post-BSG show, interesting but not like other Stargates.
>a post-BSG show
What do you mean by that? I haven't seen Battlestar Galactica either yet, but know it's frequently talked about in the same breath as stargate.
the first time i gave up on stargate sg1 was because of her in the first episode. (the second and third times were because its fricking boring)
she looks like a boy
Was about to start watching this but then realised she’s a Mary sue, so I switched it off. Just straight up sick of woke shit
>super hot
That was the one thing that I hated about her character is that everyone just acts like she's a supermodel but she's not. She's not ugly exactly, but she's not a looker.
Otherwise her character was alright, but the random romance of the week episodes she'd occasionally do were cringe.
She was smart but O'Neill was still the better soldier and leader.
'Woke' isn't so much about a characters inherent abilities so much as how they interact with others considering those abilities.
Carter was a genius but O'Neill was always in charge. He had the experience, he made the decisions, and Carter respected him enough not to question him except in the most dire of circumstances (and even then, always respectfully).
The only times she 'girlsplained' things to O'Neill was when he deliberately led her into it.
>Doesn't have a perpetual angry face
>Doesn't have a problem with authority
>Still has recognisable feminine traits and doesn't try to be like a man in a woman's body
She was written well, and as a chud that's all I really want.
I'm an Air Force officer just like you are, Colonel. And just because my reproductive organs are on the inside instead of the outside doesn't mean I can't handle whatever you can handle.
-Sam Carter
They made fun of that line twice
Oh, this has nothing to do with you being a woman. I like women. I've just got a little problem with scientists.
-Jack O'Neill
>let's bring rambling about current day wokeness into stargate threads
no. make a proper sg1 thread
