Why don’t they make any submarine movies? Is it because there is not many plots they can use for such a confined setting?
What would be the story for a big budget modern US v China submarine movie?

something along the lines of a slbm sub losing contact with the world and whether they follow protocol and launch or not.

Sub clears other subs so nuke subs and soldier ships can get close.

Sub is successful. Nukes and people land on china. But oh no, Russians etc nuked the world. Command is contradictory. Could be coming from anywhere. Captain decides to stop over on some resupply cache island and guard it. Island has pussy so everyone is happy. Life is idylic. Most crew get to work making commie blocks on the island and expand farms to handle whoever comes. Rest go on patrol around the island.

Years pass, they raise kids. Teach them to sub. Movie is mainly about kids brought up with only one way access to the internet, enthusiastic about meeting the outside world. Outside world is mainly Black folk, raping, enslaving, looting. Some places are guarded, some nazis trying to preserve progress, but as soon as they're found out they're swamped by shitbreeds.

Powerless new generation hides the rest of the world from the people back home in their island, it still virtually modern. Some break away to ferry the less fortunate. They get chased. So stay away from home and use their last weapons to scuttle the sub.

My father only watched House MD, foreign dramedy shows, and random horror/slasher he could find online probably for the eye candy. Can't tell if he was just another normie or some kind of ascended kinoisseur.

My dad loves Avatar. He didn't care too much for the Way of Water but that didn't ruin his love of the first one one bit.
