Having never played runescape, I'm the perfect choice. I write an open-ended and fairly generic story about OC characters. Make the world realistic but implicitly controlled by higher forces, which Warcraft foolishly tried to avoid. Then the key to my success would be cramming in as many recognizable designs from the game as possible, in glorious HD. The movie is very pointless if it doesn't remind people of the game and make them want to play.

Oh.... Well, just get one of the directors or actors loved by npcs if you just want to make a profit. Maybe make Tom Cruise the lead and have James Cameron direct. Happy?

because they make me a little happy. Just the thought of them.

There are a handful of ways you could do this right
    >adapt the general feel of the game and the world with OC characters banding together to defeat an in-universe villain D&D style (think RuneScape Kingdoms)
    >adapt an existing questline
Personally, I'm partial to the Mahjarrat questline since I think it's the most unique. It would basically be The Mummy but with multiple mummies and sick ass smoke/shadow/blood/ice magic. I think the D&D style group adventure would be better suited to a series than a film.

I have so many ideas but its a bit of an XP waste to type it all out. Just copy lotr trilogy formula
first movie is lumby till mid game adventuresquue and comfy but sets up a big bad
second movie is mid game fleshed out with lore maybe some badass fights and shit with a cliffhanger
third movie is obviously the conclusion so probably will be about the god wars but it couldu be anything tbh

It would be about the dragon quest maybe or several of the better quests? I've never done a member account, my acct got banned for botting which is so fricked up because I don't know how to do that and I wouldn't want to anyway. I haven't been back because I spent so long on that one who's to say it won't happen again randomly.

Someone probably got your information / hacked your account and used it for botting. If you didn't enable 2 factor authentication then that certainly is the case.

That happened to my WoW account. It got hacked by someone in China, I think. It hasn't happened since I enabled 2FA.

Yeah 2fa pretty much kills all that nonsense. The way they get the account info is through general email / password info leaks, then they just try your common passwords. Unique passphrases and 2fa on each account (ideally a fresh email as well) will pretty much stop any and all account pwnage from 3rd world shithole scumbags

5 films each taking place in a different section of the universe that each tie to a different God.
Starting with Zamorak it can be about starting adventurers stopping an invasion from the abyss into gilenor by uniting the armies of Varrock and Falador.
Saradomin would be the sequel where the same adventurers would be given the sacred task to reclaim the justicar armor from the theatre of blood in Morytania.
Guthix I have no idea but it could be the final of the trilogy but it would actually lead into the sequel trilogy of Armadyl Bandos and Zaros.

The movie would be focused on the era of Gielinor with the Zarosian Empire, Saradominist Hallowvale, Armadylean Kandarin, and so on. Aka right before the God Wars.

The primary plot of the movie is the theft of the Staff of Armadyl, and the subsequent events that follows. The main characters are all the major characters involved in the theft and transportation of the Staff of Armadyl, with various powers vying for control over the staff, with the movie leading up to the betrayal of Zaros by Zamorak with the Staff of Armadyl, Zaros' death and Zamoraks ascension to Godhood.

I would cut out the part about Zamorak, after killing Zaros, being carried away by the Avernic demons to their homeworld to lead a rebellion in their name.

What I would instead have happen (which is not far off at all from what actually happens), is that Zamorak kills Zaros, during Zamorak's moment of weakness Saradomin manages to confiscate the Stone of Jas, Zamorak ascends to Godhood and declares war on the new Saradomin-led alliance of Gods, in order to reobtain the Stone of Jas and conquer Gielinor.

The movie ends with Zamorak launching an all-out war against all the other Gods, starting the God Wars.

If it's a box office success, movie 2 would start with summarizing the past centuries of brutal continent-wide God Wars, and is set towards the end of the God Wars. The movie ends with Guthix re-awakening and banishing all the Gods. The main characters would be dissatisfied Saradominists, Zamorakians, Armadyleans, Bandosians and Zarosians who are tired of seeing village after village smashed like bugs beneath the Gods, who declare their loyalty to the Guthixian cause to wake him up and stop the God Wars. They are pursued by agents of the Gods who are trying to stop them.

Unironically, just do a film on the resealing of Nex during the Godwars from the perspectives of Commander Zilyana and K'ril Tsutsaroth, it's not hard. Big action, plot twists, betrayal, etc. all stem from the premises pretty easily. We'll add in tons of explosions via Zamorakian mages, that'll draw in the crowds.

I get Daniel Day-Lewis to come out of retirement somehow and cast him in lead. The story wont actually take place in runescape, but instead it will be an adaptation of the quest mountain daughter, sort of like what apocalypce now was to heart of darkness. It will be a neo-noir, full of tasteful cliches, set in a small city during the 50s, somewhere cold and remote, think Maine or the nordics even.
Day-Lewis will play a melancholic private detective with a mysterious past, who gets hired by a good hearted mobster (russell crowe) to find his daughter (thomasin mckenzie) who ran off with some guy. The daughter turns up dead, but her ghost leads Day-Lewis to the murderer, who turns out to be an young but succesful chief of police (ryan gosling). He raped and killed the daughter to satisfy his twisted sense of justice, after Crowe got aquitted for something he was guitly of. Day-Lewis kills him in a shootout, simultaneously making amends for his troubled past.
The movie will also feature an unnecessary graphic rape scene (think girl with the dragon tattoo), and multiple kafkaesque dream sequences, that reveal the tragic character of Da-Lewis little by little (think max payne).

Imagine thinking Cinemaphile is your secretive little club in 2023.
Gosling and Crowe have both done multiple smaller roles. Whats the last Crowe kino you can think of? The man is not in a postition to negotiate.
Actually now that I think about it, Gyllenhaal might be a better fit for the villain.

Toby Maguire starts as a level 3 in lumby. He gets lured to the wilderness and nearly killed by level 30 (actor TBD) but managed to escape to edgeville with 1 hp. He's rescued from a barbarian by paladin Henry Cavill. Henry takes him to Varrock dummies and trains him to fight.

That's all I have so far.
