When you think about how bad the last ATLA live action was, this time around there's no room for error, and I trust their decisions wholeheartedly. I know they pulled all the stops to give us the best people I could find, so who cares if they're not jailbait. I just want to see her in action
Azula should look like Azula. She doesn’t. Who knows, maybe her performance is just so good they sacrificed the character design for her, but right now I have no reason to be excited.
It’s not about “getting off to her” it’s about seeing the character brought to life (you know, half the point of doing a live action remake?)
Azula’s design is built on angles. She is sharp and precise and scary looking. I see those chubby cheeks and I just want to give her a hug. Aang looks good, Ozai looks great, Iroh is good, Sokka’s a bit too chad but fine… Azula is OFF.

07% of Azula's character is looking into the screen with an enigmatic grin that shows that she's outmaneuvering everybody else. Can she pull it off?
There's only a handful of young, english fluent, asian actors/actresses to pick from also Azula and Zuko's parts are arguably the hardest to act. The casting people had very little options.

We won’t know until we see the performance. They are young and haven’t done much. I doubt this’ll go well, but, the chance exists that when we see her in action it’ll make sense. Maybe she’s kind of got the voice down, or maybe she’s got mannerisms perfect. We can’t know. One thing’s for sure though, she lacks the immediate presence of Azula off the cuff.
