disregard list
seeing you put the only one i havent seen MC last place and my 0% desire to watch anything mike gayagain ever does again, it jives
Hill House is the only genuinely good show out of this list.
and its not even genuinely good. its an average show with a terrible ending
I'm surprised he didn't follow it up with We've Always Lived in the Castle (the other famous Shirley Jackson novella). Maybe it's because there was a movie that's supposedly really faithful to the book from only a few years before.
You are full of shit…
For some reason I haven't seen the Haunting shows even though they seem to be the best. Out of the others it is:
MM >>>>>>>MC>FOTHOU
The latter two are bad but usher is awful, couldn't make it through. unironically american horror story tier
What's MM, MC, FOTHOU. I think MC is motorcycle club but sometimes nonwhites use it as main character
The Midnight Club should be a HBO mini series about the racing club for rich guys in supercars during the 90s
My ex ranked them like this
1 The Haunting of Hill House
2 Midnight Mass
3 The Haunting of Bly Manor
4 The Fall of the House of Usher
5 The Midnight Club
I’ve only seen Midnight Mass which I thought was pretty good
Bly Manor is shit. Fricking Laurie Penny wrote a couple episodes.

This dude looks like he needs to eat some foreskins
>Justina Ireland (born 7 February 1985) is an American science-fiction and fantasy author of young adult fiction and former editor-in-chief of the FIYAH Literary Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction.
This one wrote some of Usher so my expectations are low.
the writing and some of the casting choices tank what I think could have been a good concept
And that's why I didn't watch. I don't want blacks writing or starring in my spookino
Unless they're brutally murdered like my Qween Jessica Lucas in Fright Night Remake (the only slave I like!)
I'm sure every scene where they mention how superior women are was written by this freak
>My ex ranked them like this
When did you break up, usher came out 5 days ago
He broke up with me yesterday

1 The Haunting of Hill House
2 The Fall of the House of Usher
3 The Haunting of Bly Manor
4 Midnight Mass
5 The Midnight Club
I genuinely find The Fall of the House of Usher better than Bly Manor, which I found to be surprisingly bland and unrefined. The writing was definitely not as clever as Flanagan thought it was and the characters were generic. The love story also insisted upon itself way too much, they really did not have to give a time lapse of their whole relationship.
Usher has some great acting and nice cinematography. It also captured the feel of Poe, which I did not expect at all after watching the trailers. I also liked the family dynamic. The casting on the other hand is questionable to say the least.
Midnight Mass had potential and would have worked better if it had focused more on the vampire/angel stuff than on the religious storyline.
you write like a 5th grader
>The love story also insisted upon itself way too much
You had me until here, pretty good bait though
this guy just makes shitty melodramatic pozzed netflix "horror" shows where every ghost or monster isnt real and actually just represents le trauma. shits gay as frick
>this guy
who?
mike flanagan
Oujia origin of evil is the film of his i've seen. i thought it was alright.
*only
Oculus, Doctor Sleep, and Gerald's Game are all solid. People also really seem to like Hush but I thought it was meh. I remember Before I Wake being alright but it was forgettable.
all his movies are forgettable
Pretty much but for horror slop it's realitively high quality.
>g-g-ghosts are le real and are totally not my consciousness manifesting illusions because i had gay sex
weird homosexual projection
sorry you got molested
>4444
You didn't have to kill him.
Monsters definitely are real in all of his series
we got too wienery usherbros
Mass > Hill > Usher = Bly
Not saying Usher or Bly are bad either. They're solid 7.5/10 series.
Haven't watched Fall of the House of usher, but the other 4 are absolute fricking garbage, and you're a total homosexual if you even MILDLY enjoyed them.
Nice dubs, but you're trying too hard. You need to relax.
Should I watch Bly Manor and Midnight Club? Loved Midnight Mass, thought Hill House started out alright, then peaked with the storm episode, then had a decline into a shitty ending, and Usher was mostly alright though I did chuckle at shit like how one of the first things we learn about Dupin is that he has a husband
Bly starts out good and descends into meh pretty quick.
But it has one really good episode in the latter half so I dunno.
Maybe you should watch it. It's not like you're doing anything else.
>It's not like you're doing anything else.
looks like I shan't be watching #3 #4 #5
How to fix Midnight Mass
>Cut entire "muh afterlife" monologue exchange with Riley and Erin
>cut the "I was bullied because of 9/11" monologue from Shariff
wa la
>how to fix Midnight Mass
>dont make it in the first place.
I don't care about Le Priest man. Or that c**t Bev.
It's shit compared to Hill House. He should have just made Oculus 2. Seethe
