    >>45 million at the box office already
Reminder adjusted for inflation this is the second lowest performing Saw movie of all time.
    >b-b-but i-inflation doesn't matter
To reality check your ass more plainly, less people bought a ticket for this movie than any other Saw movie aside from Spiral. It means audience interest is at the franchise's second lowest record. Sad!

People don’t go to the theaters anymore. It’s actually making a lot of money compared to other “blockbusters” like Transformers.
      Sad?

        >newest transformers made over 400 million
        >saw x will be lucky if it even makes it to 100 million

          Yes

Saw quadrupled its budget in a week. Transformers doubled its in a summer. Not watching either but that's not a failure.

can you really fail with a budget of 13 million though? i just watched the creator, that had an 80 million budget that felt "small" for such a big epic scifi movie (its flopping real bad)

That's an unqualified success any way you look at it.

Saw doesn’t appeal to women. Butthouse makes chick horror. Why moved Exorcist a week early to avoid Tay Tay concert movie

I sat through a replay of the whole series with niece and nephew (both about 20).
They both seemed to enjoy it.

Not saying every woman. But most women don’t like gore porn. They want stupid jump scares.

Need a rundown and don't care about spoilers.
I've gotten old, don't want to see the gore anymore, but still interested enough in the series.

Different anon but it's just a filler movie meant for nostalgia bait with bringing back Jiggy and Amanda. They spend most of the first half with a bore fest of him being sad about his cancer and then getting fake treatment. The 2nd half then becomes a rather uninspired torture fest of the perpetrators of the fake treatment. There is no police investigation in-between nor are there any wacky twists.

Lower standards. Everything else got shittier, but horrorslop stayed the same.

I stopped watching after the second or third, do they actually get better ? Found the torture porn formula becoming pretty stale quickly.

They get more entertaining with the bullshit they start throwing at the wall but "better" is not the word I would ever use to describe them.

The weird time delay on two of the traps is ass frick moronic. "Yes you chopped off your entire fricking leg but you were unable to complete the suctioning of 10ml your bone marrow due to how slow the machine was. That 9 ml of bone marrow does not show your will to live" or "wait an indeterminate time for your brain to dissolve after youve cut it out because reasons" FRICK off
plus letting the child killing, cancer pateint scamming sociopath a chance to live after she failed her very tame game compared to others. Setting up for a Saw Cinematic Universe with that one

Classic tale of quality over quantity. Getting away from yearly releases was good.

I haven't seen it yet, but planning on it. Also, horror movies are always a safe bet. It has always been baffling to me to see companies drop $200 million or more on something they hope will be a blockbuster when they could just drop $5 million and at least double their money regardless, or potentially get $50 or even $100 million back. Now I gotta go read up on horror box office bombs, if they even exist.

Some idiot told me this was gorier than Terrifier 2 when it’s not even as bad as Saw 2

I also don't get why people are saying it's super gory. Sure the vacuum trap plays on some phobia, but the series has way bigger hits than anything in the main game.
