That's my prediction too. Sir Pentious ascending from Hell to Heaven will prove to everyone that redemption is possible, and in the next season a bunch of demons will go to the Hazbin Hotel because now they have hope that it could work.

Agreed regardless, this is all very 'out of Viv's scope' of writing, especially given Charlie's idea is severely undercooked that it's impressive Heaven isn't twisting this idea to just essentially deal with their Hell problem by converting the best sinners into their army or citizens and just leaving Hell to rot away as a concept. Probably why Charlie is just going to focus on fixing up Hell rather than trying to make it good enough for Heaven.

Theory: The Vees will be the main villains of season 2.
After Adam dies (showing the Angels aren’t invincible and the hotel offers some kind of protection), the inhabitants of hell will flock to the hotel, taking the social power the Vees hold away. So they’ll be trying to sabotage the hotel and possibly even trying to kill Charlie. Alastor having to protect the hotel from the Vees will be a major focus.
One last Cherrisnake post before it all comes crashing down, I shipped these two since the pilot, and we were this close to them becoming official, it would have been nice...

Is it really outside the realm of possibility for a few of them to try to turn their lives around? And if said demons die in the extermination, wouldn't they get sent straight to heaven just like Pentious did? Why did Emily and Sera look so fricking surprised?

We don't know what the terms were, only that the hellborn getting a pass was part of the deal. Its entirely possible Hell's obligation was Lucifer doesn't start melting angels when they show up and Heaven had to give fair warning. Its entirely possible Hell's obligation was Lucifer doesn't start melting angels when they show up and Heaven had to give fair warning.
