>does something completely moronic that backfires horribly
>"All part of my master plan lmao"
He really is just like Elon.
He has the magic coffins
He has his ship
He is back in his galaxy
He won
>Had Sabine in custody
>Let her go with a lightsaber, blasters, and location of Ezra
Trust the plan.
I think his plan was to make sure everyone go somewhere but his ship. Otherwise Ashoka would have came straight to temple to rescue.
20 storm troopers are worth 3000 rebel lives.
Give em hell Thrawn
Enough is enough.
he should've made some tie paragliders
>is now back in the main galaxy with the rest of the empire ready to join him while the new republic debates whether trying to stop him was right or wrong
Does seem like a win to me.
>rest of the empire ready to join him
Another fricking downgrade because in the original he had to beat them into submission because nobody knew who he was.
>because nobody knew who he was
The frick do you mean? He was one of only 12 men of that rank, odds are the entire imperial military knew who he was.
If they did they only know him as the guy that kept getting his ass handed to him by little kids and then went AWOL and conveniently came back when everyone who knew how to run shit was dead.
He was promoted by Palpatine and then immediately send off to unkown regions to scout. Nobody believed him because he is blue alien and Palpatine was human supremacist.
Reminder to Disney morons here:
THRAWN WAS THE UNDERDOG IN THE ORIGINAL BOOKS
>20 storm troopers
>2 tie fighters
>a dead witch
And he got back to the main galaxy while the "heroes" are trapped in the other. He literally won
He won in the most convoluted, moronic, and costly way possible. He did everything he could to lose.
>plan was to delay the heroes so he could get away and leave them in the other galaxy
>succeeds in this goal
He said from the start what he was doing here.
He was a moron for even being stuck in another galaxy because a bunch of little kids were constantly pushing his shit in. Had he faced any major Rebel forces he would have been stomped out long ago.
>childrens company makes a villain get his ass kicked by children for a childrens show
More like the writers did everything they could to stretch out what could have been a 2 hour movie into 8 episodes to keep those Disney plus subscriptions rolling
Does Thrawn even remember how they got there? A ship stored inside a star whale. Repeat that and they're back in his galaxy.
If Ezra wasn't a total b***h, he could've sabotaged the Chimera when he was inside for days or told Hera to send the fleet to Dathomir to frick him up.
why are writers so adverse to just giving a villain a straight up win?
I've really been struggling to enjoy ahsoka because I never watched the cartoon that it's predicated on. I don't know any of these characters and the show puts ZERO effort into fleshing them out or framing their place in the story. there's so many character moments that fall flat because they expect me to know things I don't
why am I supposed to care about ezra? why does sabine care so much about ezra? why are there witches? are the supposed to be scary? is thrawn supposed to be scary? is ahsoka supposed to be a good or bad teacher? good or bad student?
so much of the storytelling revolves around an expectation that these are answered questions, instead of baking them into the narrative. I'm sure I'm not the only person who doesn't wanna watch a 20 year old cartoon as homework just to understand the characters in a 10 episode C-team story in a completely different galaxy
Because the series isn't for you. Its for kids who were watching the Rebels series 10 years ago. They don't care about explaining the things for you. You're not the target audience, you're out of the loop
a good writers room would be able to do both: extend the story for the initiated while also elaborating on the characters for newcomers. you can watch ESB without watching ANH and understand every character's motivations and the power dynamics. you don't need to do 20 hours of research going into the movie to understand what you're watching because the story creates moments that explain the things its showing you
I also thought the mandolorians hated jedi or something. becuase I don't know the character, I figured maybe she was an orphan or something but then she starts talking about her long mandolorian lineage, so.... I dunno whats going on there
The writers room doesn't care about newcomers. They're not the demographic they're going for. Too many people from other generations have given up on Star Wars. So they're not even bothering trying to interest them. They're building off the prequel and "Rebels" generations now
This, except I don't even want to know.
>dyed hair probably lesbian mandalorian warrior who is also force-sensitive and trained by one of the few last jedi
Typical comic book cringe.
>buy Twitter for 40 billion
>lose all your advertisers
>lose all your customers
>yes.. just as I planned
>still seething
mission accomplished
he fricked up for our sins
this is now a shin thread
why she always hunched over like a goon
she also always makin a face like she tryn fart without sharting
she also shoulda killed sabine straight away and I don't understand why she didn't
tldr frick this character
>mfw
they should have made her do a high-speed force run cuz that would been the benny hill cut we deserved
She can hunch over me anytime if you catch the drift of what I'm meaning
Why am I so attracted to her?
stop watching nu wars
Three gays with lightsabers and plot armor running around the star destroyer would have done a lot more damage
You know, something occurred to me.
A large and loud sect of deranged Star Wars fans (specifically the Filoni worshippers, reinforced by the typical Disneyslop lovers) seem to be okay with this version of Thrawn. They unironically consider him some tactical genius, and if you press him on "20 dead storm troopers, 2 lost tie fighters, 1 lost witch" they'll just say it doesn't matter because "at least he escaped".
But think about that... think about how similar Thrawn's ending is compared to the ending of The Empire Strikes Back.
ESB is considered an "Imperial Win" in the trilogy, where the Rebels "win" in ANH and ROTJ. But why is it considered an "Imperial Win"?
>Rebel Base on Hoth destroyed (some survivors escaped on ships)
>Han Solo frozen in carbonite and taken by Jabba
>Luke loses his hand, defeated by Vader
now let's compare that to Thrawn's ending in Ahsoka
>Thrawn's Base blown up (by himself) along with his zombie troopers (he narrowly manages to escape with what's left of his army)
>Morgan Elsbeth dead after being defeated by Ahsoka
>Ezra manages to escape with Thrawn and warn the galaxy about his return
It's almost a 1:1 with ESB except those deranged Filoni-fans will deadpan tell you "Thrawn won though" just because Thrawn makes a smug comment after getting his blue ass spanked purple by Ahsoka. It's just sad how people are willing to accept such crap writing.
>It's almost a 1:1 with ESB
ESB is about a galactic empire in full retaliation mode, Ahsoka is about a star destroyer that can't even hyperspace by itself and a skeleton crew trying to get away from two jedi and a mandalorian
ANH and ROTJ is also about a galactic empire but they get their shit pushed in by a small band of rebels.
Ugly.
You watch your fricking mouth.
ugly horse face ew
The chud senator was completely right about Ahsoka and the other babes. They were merely driven by personal reasons. At the end Thrawn manages to get back to the galaxy but they are happy because Ezrah got back home and their place is with the turtle people.
>Ezra is onboard his starcruiser and steels a ship to escape
might as well have one of the goodies spit in his face and laugh
