How was he so big to actors? Two kinos from a quarter century earlier was all he had.
Fricking weird how he had six films in the 2010s, a respectable rate of output by anyone. You would have never thought he made only four films in the previous four decades.

You laugh but To the Wonder did things to my mind I didn’t know were possible. I still can’t walk through a pristine grocery story aisle without imagining Olga Kurylenko running backwards through it.
The Tree of Life is one of the few movies to have a lasting effect on me. I felt To The Wonder though was a little unfocused, and turned me off watching Knight of Cups or Song to Song. His movies remind me of Baraka and similar movies in their documentary style (I think Tree of Life even included a segment from either Baraka or Samsara, where the camera moves through a sandy cave system). It will remain one of my favourite movies however.
