Well, Cinemaphile? You didn't post "Scratch that, reverse it" ironically right? You were actually excited for the movie?

Cause kids wanna see the factory not some dude they have no connection to. As a kid you like two things, funny hat man and the cool candy factory. Then when you grow up you appreciate how they set it up.

If it does justice to Gene Wilder's Wonka, I'll probably like it.

They would have to break both your feet with a ball peen hammer when you buy the ticket for it to be worse than that.

Why would I watch it? I'm still annoyed at how bad Napoleon was to watch another movie in theaters for a while.

Sorry im not a fatass, a movie about a homosexual and his chocolate factory doesnt appeal to me.

I got dragged into it expecting to hate it but ended up loving it, glad it did well, it deserved it finally a movie focused on just being good entertainment instead of shoving progressive propaganda down everybodies throats (Black folks were pretty overrepresented but there's otherwise nothing remotely woke in it and it even has fat jokes)

Same here, the trailers were really crappy in hindsight. It comes across way more stupid than the full movie. I still don't feel the need to rewatch the movie but it was decent.
Although I didn't like pretty much any of the songs except for one. They were pretty forgettable or forced

If its $200M total budget they would only have to generate $400M to break even.

Since he can magically alter your DNA, you would think he could just change it back!
But Wonka was too busy thinking of ways to protect Earth against the evil alien meatballs (which his glass elevator was impervious to) that have killed every galactic civilization to think about trivial things.

I didn't mock it or get excited for it before it came out, but I enjoyed it well enough when I saw it. I think it declines a bit towards the end, but it was pretty good.

I saw it in the theater with my family and it fricking sucked. I passed out for 20 minutes and half the time I was thinking about sneaking out and watching the Sydney Sweeney tit vehicle in the next theater but I couldn’t walk out and leave my wife and kids there. The songs were filler, the plot was lame and it was just an entirely forgettable movie. I was at the point where I was fantasizing about Olivia Colman and imagining her with huge low hanging and heaving slag breasts. Soulless movie.

    >everyone loved Willy Wonka right? So let's make another movie
    >"About when he was just starting out in his factory, right?"
    >No! Instead it will be when he was tricked into indentured servitude with no factory, making candies one at a time in a little box, and running around at night with a brown e-girl. Also he can't read and milks giraffes for some reason
