I know moronic children will call me reddit for it despite being on Cinemaphile for nearly 20 years now but Rick & Morty inhabits the original Cinemaphile atmosphere while Smiling Friends is more of the "fedora edgelord" humor that only came here in the early 2010s Cinemaphile.
Which isn't that weird considering the creators of the show are younger than me while fellow oldgay shitposter Justin Roiland just knows this place and its history more. Making Rick & Morty the more Cinemaphile imbued show of the two.
The shows are a lot simillar than most people think.
