I'm perpetually online. I drive for work.
Where was this advertised? cable TV commercials? I'm sure all the 80 year olds who still pay for Advertelevision REALLY wanted to see renfield but were just too danged busy.
I don't use adblockers, moron, why the frick would I specifically mention my online habits if they didn't serve me any ads?
Are you trying to say "yes anon, they only advertised this on boomervision"?
Then you simply need to work on your awareness. Renfeld had a pretty active online ad campaign before release so if you're pertetually online as you say you are you're either adblocking, making shit up, or straight moronic. Which is it?
>if you don't watch TV you're purposefully avoiding the ads on it which are totally targeting you as an audience >if you didn't see ads online you were blocking them or you're just dumb and blind
okay now explain why they didn't bother with posters outside the theatre or a billboard where they usually show upcoming mediocre movies?
I can't wait to hear this one.

every movie gets posters outside of theater, so you can see what they're playing. at least that's the case here

my galaxy cinemas theatre only has space for 4 posters outside yet has space for 8 different films to be showing. Depending on what's out/coming out, the posters are sometimes what's in the theatre currently and sometimes upcoming stuff. 100% determined by who wants to pay a premium for first dibs on poster space. Renfield was never one of the 4.

to be fair the local theaters are pretty small so they usually show like 1-4 movies.
i doubt anyone pays for the posters outside, they just put whatever they're movies are running there and at what times

the posters are nowhere near where showtimes are displayed, and the movies displayed can vary from "currently showing" to "coming out in 9 months"
If you'd read my last post front to back without skipping any words, you'll see that I clearly stated the posters are NOT just "whatever movies are running there", and I wouldn't be currently sardonically repeating myself.

i don't know man. there's posters inside for movies that are coming later. no need to show those outside because you want people to see what they can now go and watch when they walk past
Cage was stuck in absolute dogshit movie. The completely wasted his Lugosi-meets-Christopher Lee performance. I only hope they will bring him back despite the movie flopping.
> Make campy Dracula movie with Nicholas Cage and Hoult > Make the movie revolve around some stupid cop played by Awkwaphina who lost her sister to a lame criminal family
WTF? what the hell was the point of that? you had Nicholas Cage delivering a wonderfully campy Dracula in a velvet suit, and you focus the movie on some moronic cop with a grudge on the world's lamest criminal family? This movie deserved to flip even harder than it did.
it was extremely bad. the dracula imagery was only an allegory for some brooklyn b***h being addicted to drugs and abusive relationships. its extremely on the nose and very gay
>renfield is supposed to restore darkverse >director says he knows why it failed but his movie wont >his movie flops so hard anons literally said they removed dark universe page and wikipedia articles
Cage was great. That's it. Stupid shit movie.
>I didn't hear about it? No wonder it bombed
You put a lot of value on your movie ticket, anon

>why didn't I hear about this if I use adblockers and don't watch TV?
What the frick are you even rambling about kek
How old are you that you watch television grandpa
Where did say I did, dummy? How are you so moronic to be confused by missing advertising you purposefully avoided? Stay on topic

...no he is right, I've never seen anything of this film before.
What country are you from?
lets say central europe
Probably wasn’t marketed much in your yuropoor country then.

The first ten minutes with the vampire hunters are such pure fricking kino. Cage was great but yeah he was just stuck in a dogshit movie.
I wonder if the teeth were a bit much though. Part of Dracula's horror is that he can blend in with humanity.
>make dracula movie
> call it renfield
> it bombs
Wow, who could have predicted it?
it wasn't dracula movie, it was reinfield movie. or more precisely it was buddy cop movie with renfield in it
It was worse than that
> Make campy Dracula movie with Nicholas Cage and Hoult

He’s great as Lugosi Dracula.
It’s Cigar Frog and Homoman who drag it down.
it was extremely bad. the dracula imagery was only an allegory for some brooklyn b***h being addicted to drugs and abusive relationships. its extremely on the nose and very gay
That sucks.
awkwafina ruined it
She was brilliant as rapping seagull in mermaidslop
it would’ve been more pleasant to hear her raped with a seagull if I’m being quite honest
Its friday TURN UP THE VOLUME BROS!
Watched it on Peawiener. It’s unsurprisingly awful except for Cage as Dracula.
It has Awkwafina in it, and she's one of the main characters.
That's enough to not watch it.
Nic Cage fricking sucks. why is this guy shilled so hard here?
Tell me why you think he sucks and I’ll tell you why you’re wrong.
Nicholas Cage is clearly just willing to do whatever he's offered nowadays, he's been in so many movies in such a short time it's hard to keep count.
>renfield is supposed to restore darkverse
>director says he knows why it failed but his movie wont
>his movie flops so hard anons literally said they removed dark universe page and wikipedia articles
Cage was great. That's it. Stupid shit movie.
They should have had more competence, I think that might be the secret ingredient.
It was really great when cage was on screen, but unfortunately there's about an hour in the middle of the movie where he's not around.
>It was really great when cage was on screen
less than 20 minutes of the entire runtime
>There was a Nic Cage Dracula movie?!? First time hearing that, no wonder it bombed.
It was entertaining, but not quite good. The violence was fun.
I watched it for free on a flight the other day. It was ok. Nothing ground breaking, actually kinda short sweet and to the point.
Ngl, I give them credit for dropping a 90min film.
More of that please.
It was a movie about some fop trying to bang awkwafina.
