Affleck is an example of a successful one but he was acting from a young age and is realistic about how shallow a thinker he is. Glover grew up during the end of the golden age of the block buster and rise of the indie and probably got to his first production and mistook a bureaucracy for out of touch white people he was better than. He's made good money but now he's doing embarrassing swan song projects. Probably wasted too much time trying to assert himself as superior instead of building connections and enjoying the ride.
