I've done absolutely nothing but watch Frasier and drink beer this past week, i've noticed that i've started reading posts on here in his voice and cadence.
It's my first time watching i'm almost on season 4. Favorite one was definitely the one where his gay boss comes over and thinks he's dating Frasier. Other favorite would be the first episode of season 3 where his new female boss banishes his show to a nightslot and Frasier has a massive freakout getting naked and yelling sex sex sex. That bit was the hardest i've laughed at the show. It's such a comfy show.
Seattle is such a weird place to set the show in. They were originally going to set it in Colorado but they passed an anti-gay law so they changed the setting. I know they wanted the show to be set as far away as possible from Cheers but it just doesn’t make any sense. Transplanting the New York old money high class lifestyle onto Seattle just doesn’t make sense.
cheers is in boston not new york you fricking foreigner
seattle is where hes from, why does it need to make sense? he probably moved to boston BECAUSE it was so different, he hated being around his family growing up clearly
Obviously I know Cheers is set in Boston you fricking idiot. I’m saying that the lifestyle of Frasier and Niles in particular is reminiscent of the stereotypical old money New York lifestyle.

its another reminder that trump was something to aspire to when america was great
brainwashed libs have no memory of the world prior to 2015 because it causes them deranged fits
Nah, the only bad part was Freddy's actor. He just didn't fit with the rest of the cast to me. Everyone else was kino and the storylines were great. Plus there were Lilith and Roz cameos.
It's a solid 6/10
Kelsey and his production company's involvement means it avoids any of the 'frick whitey' stuff that most current year tv shows have, and Nicholas Lyndhurst is a solid sidekick for Frasier.
But other than that most of the side characters feel under-written and a lot of the plots are basically re-heated scripts from the original Frasier.
It's still worth a watch, since Kelsey is always magnetic as Frasier Crane, just don't expect brilliance.
It's nowhere near as good as the original, largely because there is no reasonable straight man like Martin. They try to set Freddy up like that, but he is kooky too and lacks any gravitas whatsoever or really any personality. David character (Niles/Daphne son) is a carbon copy from Big Bang Theory as well which is awful and cringe as frick and not funny.
Sometimes the show is fine or mildly amusing, but that is at when it is at its infrequent best.

Kelsey is one of the GOATs.

Why not? There’s plenty of old money is Seattle. Makes more sense than Denver.
I’m not familiar with it.

Seattle had massive shipping fortunes. Maris is implied to be a timber heiress.
Yes but ultimately she was a toilet paper heiress.
Wood is wood.
That's what she said.
Maris would never! She's allergic to all forms of cellulose.
Kek. I have been watching Julia just to see more David-Hyde-Pierce/Bebe-Neworth kino. They are very good together.

Is the sequel as shitty as everyone expected it to be?
