what does he do?
he leaves his wife and kid to die while they're being chased by zombies to save only himself
well what were the parameters for this event? was there truly no chance to intervene or was he a coward?
see it for yourself
whats moronic about his escape is that the zombies are okay with sprinting full speed non stop but cant wade/swim in water fast enough to infect him.
Swim requires learnt motions unlike running, which everyone learns while growing up. It's reasonable to assume the zombies can't swim if they couldn't swim while alive.
28 zombies are alive, it’s just like super rabies.
You're a moron.
why did boomers like watching running zombie movies back in the day its not what I am used to at all. there is no time for character development like we get now days.
She was moronic and let the kid in
seems like the real mistake was letting the kid in and not immediately barring everything they could and staying quiet in the top of the house with no lights on
I don't think it eve shows the guy in tnebarn getting eaten either once he closes the trap door
It's pretty clear the movie was portraying him as a coward
How could he save them? He tried to save his wife but she was too stupid, it wasn't his kid either
Why was he in a house with his wife and another persons child anyway?
There were a bunch of people hiding out in that house
is it his kid?
He's British
Do what I don't watch movies
I would have killed all the zombies
I would've done this way before the zombies were a threat.
>The White House is avenged.
>it wasn't his kid either
truthful writing then. in reality he would have instinctual fought to the death for his blood son. most men are 'wired' that way.
have you seen Force Majeure?
All people are wired that way. What's important is that you pass your genes on. People are much more likely to risk their lives to save their offspring than they are anyone else, even other close family members and definitely strangers, because your offspring pass your genes on. No one else does.
George R. Price literally wrote an equation about it and accidentally proved that true altruism doesn't exist. It's only about what can be gained from being, or appearing to be, altruistic or completing altruistic acts. Think of billionaires who set up charities purely for tax avoidance reasons.
It's a bit of a sad story really because he didn't have any education in the field, but he fully understood it. Then as the years went by he grew disheartened that he'd proven, while not meaning to, that good people simply don't exist. Then he tried to disprove his own equation by opening his own house up to every vagrant in the area. He believed that by allowing them to live there and take what they wanted etc that he'd be able to disprove his equation by being truly altruistic. And by doing this they too would feed off that generosity and become altruistic themselves (a bit like in The Platform if you've seen it).
One day years later someone he had worked with in the past past him living rough in the street and didn't even recognize him. The vagrants still occupied the house and he'd left them to it while he lived on the streets.
Naturally the vagrants didn't give a frick and his generosity was never reciprocated by them (much like in The Platform). So distraught about knowing the truth and knowing there was no way to disprove it, he killed himself. Only a handful of people attended his funeral.
Long story short; if someone tries to save a non-blood relative, chances are they're doing it for what they can gain from that act. It's totally subconscious btw so they shouldn't be seen as cowardly for it. It's just human nature.
>two story shelter
>doesn't break the stairs to make it 100% safe
youve been playing too much zomboid
what, is no one going to mention that the pic is the opening to 28 weeks later and not 28 days later (which is, of course, the better film)?
I vaguely recall it was all the woman’s fault anyways so I probably would’ve called her a stupid c**t on my way out.
Can't believe we have so many posts and no one pointed out its from 28 weeks, not 28 days
Yeah some dumb woman let some kids being chased in because muh chillun and then they all died.
He survives, doesn't he? He can get a new wife and kids. It's cold but it is what it is. He would not have been able to escape if he was carrying them with him.
No he became a janny, a fate worse than death, and then he got everyone else killed by getting infected.
Yes, he did what everyone on this board would've done. His wife was a dumb c**t and brought that to herself and he even tried saving her before she put them in jeopardy.
Cinemaphile never would have had a wife in the first place
Danny Boyle is a gift to humanity. Fricking amazing artist.
This
for some reason critics didn't like The Beach. That always confused me, it is a fricking amazing movie.
I just looked it up and it has a bad rating even from audiences? What? The Beach is great.
Why did the government let the carrier lady into the compound with all the surviors? They already knew the virus was dying out, why risk everybody to solve a problem that is already solved?
Because bad writing. When I saw it in theaters back in 2k7 I walked out once they brought back the obviously infected b***h. Movie logic is one thing but come the frick on, it was so obvious.
Yup.
