It's funny how innocent things were back then. >Make amazing movie >People love it >It becomes popular
2023 >Make dogshit and ram it down your throat >Everything is carefully marketed and manipulated in the creepiest and most invasive way possible
And everything has to appeal to the least common denominator and widest audience possible, and applaud black people, and Mexicans, and trans people, and also shit on white people all at the same time. This is where we are now, we're not allowed to just have fun with movies anymore
Jurassic Park has 15 minutes of dinosaurs.
CGI were used sparedly even in those 15 minutes, staff had money AND time to work on it.
Speilberg knows how to make thinks look good.
Extremely clever use of practical effects for some shots and cgi only when it's needed. Also, gigantic budget combined with careful planning and a tight script. The only real flaw is the wobbly third act.
Phil Tippett's animation
Dean Cundey's photography
Dennis Muren's technical knowledge and skill
Spielberg's impeccable framing and composition
Basically a perfect storm of top notch guys making movie history and going the extra mile to get the biggest bang for their brand new buck, paying utmost attention to every little detail to make sure the new tech worked as well as it could and gave audiences something they'd truly never seen before.
>no lips
not my t-rex
>has never seen a crocodile
crocodiles have much thinner tooth enamel
dinosaurs would have lips
>practical effects+cgi
>passionate and dedicated director
>time and age when movies were made for entertainment rather than pushing stupid agendas
>MORE GIRLS IN STEM
>BROTHER IS A COWARD
she bypassed the compressor?

Practical effects.
Shot at night. Rain. Also, good camera work. And CGI was used only when the practical effects couldnt do the job
Competence.
damn Hollywood was skilled back in the day huh. that shit is beyond impressive.
I love that scene in JP3 with these guys
How did pteranodons really move? Do they just look at modern bats??
I saw more modern reconstructions that have them move like birds folding the wings on their bodies but I'm not sure I believe it.
Not dancing, fake hollywood claymation.
wasnt shot on digital cameras
asian genes
The sound design. That roar is iconic. I can still picture the way it sounds in my head.
It's almost like talent does matter
it's hilarious how The Thing from 1982 mogs so many effects to the day
