      >wokest
I guess that leaves out Suzume since it features a heterosexual pairing and takes place in a homogeneous society (Japan).

Funnily enough Suzume was originally supposed to be about a lesbian romance but the producers thought the Japanese crowd wasn't yet ready for a yuri movie on the big screen

    Spider-Man and Wish are guaranteed
Haven't seen either of the nip movies, which one deserves the nomination more?

Spiderman was visually incredible and I actually enjoyed it. Honestly, it wasnt super woke and most of the narrative around it here is tainted with Cinemaphile's moronic politics.
Nimona is the one with the wokest politics but since it is less popular people here dont talk about it as much.
Elemental was just utterly forgettable and worse than Zootopia in every conceivable way.
    Wish was slop.
The mario movie was literally a toddler movie with a bunch of references for nintendo obssesed men in their mid thirties.
    Havent seen the rest.
The boy and the Heron probably should win.

Aside from indian spiderman and pregnant biker black spiderwoman, there wasnt really anything that would make you think the movie had a woke agenda. Punk spiderman was hilarious and has enough wiggling room to be read as in the right or in the wrong. Gwen was much better in this movie than in the previous one, she actually had a character and vulnerable moments. Hell, even the cops were generally presented as human characters doing their jobs.

What about the fact the whole movie narrative is centered on the token black Spider-Man being the holiest, strongest, and most moral Spider-Man in the multiverse at the expense of every other Spider-Man ever

Is a black Spider-Man being the best inherently woke? Would it suddenly have been non-woke if it had been a white character? What about all the mystery meat people in Spider Society who got outmaneuvered by Miles?

              >Is a black Spider-Man being the best inherently woke?
Yeah, but in this case especially since we have all the creators outright admitting that was their motivation

              >Would it suddenly have been non-woke if it had been a white character?
No one would've felt the need to make such a movie about a white character

              >What about all the mystery meat people in Spider Society who got outmaneuvered by Miles?
Which ones? All the major non-white characters like India, Punk, Byte etc were on the good and moral side by default, only Jessica was on the bad side and we all know how these types hate black women, which is why neither Jeff nor Miles have black female romance interests

              >What about all the mystery meat people in Spider Society who got outmaneuvered by Miles?
They rank lower in the serial sycophant tier list. Come on, you know this, you're very aware of the meta.

Suzume isn’t going to get nominated since there’s already a Miyazaki movie in there.

Elemental shouldn’t be nominated either since it got mediocre reviews. How it’s getting so much award buzz is beyond me.

At least with Elemental, it seemed to grow on people as time went on. The reviews were really bad at first but got better afterwards
