Very good post. I think Pauls character was really great too. He was fighting so many demons, shame but always trying to persevere. I loved season 2 so much I'm watching it again rn.
Ray and Frank wallowing in self pity while lera lynn sings. Frank calling out hispanics and commie israelites. By far the best season. S1 is overrated cuz of the novelty and nostagia of it, but s2 is superior.
S2 would've been better if they followed Gilbough and Papania (black detectives from S1) continuing Rust/Marty's investigation up the chain. have the season end with Gilbough killing Papania when they get too close to the truth, revealing Gilbough was in on it the whole time. It would fit nicely with Marty calling Papania for backup instead of Gilbough at the end of S1 (he tells Papania he can 'read' him but Gilbough he can't)
