Something that irks me about recent BotWs is that they have dropped the attempt to construct a summary of the plot together and while going through the events of the films chronologically arrive at the stand out moments through a structure. Now they just recap the stand out moments in the order they think of them without any structure, which I find makes the movies much less memorable and hurts the pacing of the episodes. Now they have one or two things they really want to talk about and are just trying to fill the average discussion length with whatever they can half remember, making the movie discussions more chaotic and dull and most of all front loaded, with the inferior back half (if not more) of the discussion leaving the same aftertaste for every film: unmemorable and unfocused and uninteresting.
The original structure, while rigid and very much planned, somehow felt more organic and lead to a superior end result.
I'm not sure why they dropped the format they had pretty much been using since day one for something less succesful. Perhaps it's easier to do it this way?
not wrong but still better than the other extreme of sarcastically recounting the plot as josh and nostalgia critic tier shitters on youtube do. some of their discussions barely make any sense if you haven't seen the movie, maybe influenced by their re:view style.
>bad movies are le bad HAHAHA!!!! >overreaction for the camera while watching movie >has all the side guests of rlm that no one likes
botw has always been their worst show
Rich Evans ran over and killed a homeless man with his car on August 7th, 2023 at approximately 2:35AM CT. He hasn't been formally charged or arrested yet but has agreed to turn himself in to the authorities. The police found no drugs or alcohol in his system, yet he was observed driving into the opposite lane of traffic and accelerating into the man standing adjacent to the street. The man was clearly illuminated by powerful streetlights, and there are multiple camera feeds capturing Rich's car audibly accelerating. Basically, Rich just straight up killed a hobo for no reason while completely sober and has no other excuse other than murder. His family and friends are completely shocked, Rich just wants to act like nothing happened. His significant other is talking to a lawyer about getting his charges reduced to manslaughter but Rich confessed to doing something similar to another homeless person in Michigan in 2016. Authorities haven't been able to confirm or identify that particular victim at this present time, but it's likely Rich is telling the truth.
Mike is constantly crying and breaking down during film shoots, and Rich's absence has led to Jay having to take over "Rich" duties like preparing food for Mike and spending time with him watching Star Trek TNG at the RLM studio. The lease on Jay's new warehouse property has already been repossessed due to Jay's credit rating completely tanking after large amounts of personal debt went to collections and he committed financial fraud to recoup his losses. Jay has become a massive alcoholic since 2022, and doesn't even hide it around the guys anymore. Jack tried to get Jay to attend the same 12 step program he did but Jay showed up drunk and tried to pretend he was just acting drunk "as a joke". Mike's completely broken emotional state has really started to wear Jay thin and he's stopped coming into work to avoid the constant babying he has to do for Mike. This is why you haven't seen Jay in an RLM video for 4 months now. Safe to say, this is probably the end of RedLetterMedia. Just how exactly it ends will be revealed, likely in the coming months or weeks, if not days or even hours.

This is funnier than anything they've done in the past year.

Posts like this make me miss the somethingawful RLM thread and its particular schizos.
They need to just get rid of HitB and do BotW and re:View full time. They clearly do not care about HitB anymore and it's very tiresome to watch now. I just skip them all unless they watch something interesting.
It's kind of fricked up how Mike thre her off the show just because they weren't dating anymore, she was a fan favourite. No reason to not keep her around, talk about being unprofesional.
Remember when everything they thought they wanted with star wars happened and then everyone realized how full of shit they were when it still sucked and then space cop came out.
They still haven't done McBain.
OH NO, EPISODE 500 OF "SARCASTIC LOSERS MUMBLE OVER OLD MOVIES" ISN'T OUT!!

Probably getting self-conscious of the YMS/ Drinker types whose "critique" consists of recounting the story for 30 minutes
doesn't rich evans have early onset dementia?
>early
Mike's dementia is much further along than Rich's.
Why Rich looks like an aids patient now? The looks like shit.
Mounjaro

Your life is shit, op.

I miss them so much tbh, Canadians were the best guests by far
All would be forgiven if they reviewed The Batman (2022).
Their refusal to review The Batman (2022) was the beginning of their downfall.
Black spine is the best but why does every video need to be an hour long?
>Mike is turning into gayin The israelite.
