It was alright but some times it felt a little preachy and there was no way it would compare to the original, especially without Gandhi.

>6/10
Too generous.
maybe but I am trying to be positive here
I give It a 2.5/10 because that's literally the number of episodes I liked this season
Anyway I like this OC someone made of Lovecraft
That's cringe, anon! I love it
The other ones i did when the reboot was announced
>Diogenes actually knows nothing of his Clone Father because he gives zero fricks
>It's entirely coincidental he ended up almost exactly the same
No way Stirner would not have a fedora
Nice
We postin' Clone High OCs now?
10/10 Would get beaten by in the school backyard
Glad you got the school bully vibes from them, anon. For Vlad I thought a goth or emo kid would be too obvious and a school shooter(which would make perfect sense for Vlad) too edgy
Blackbeard would definitely sell you the real shit from the West Indies and not that b***hass "raisins" bullshit
It's fun to make character for such a easy to draw show
More Vlad
Huh, I had no idea the founder of Atari was also the founder of Chuck E. Cheese
Captcha: 0M0W0
Last one
Amazing anon
Thanks. Do you think they could get Musk and Bezos to make guest appearances?
>Abe's Lighthouse impression
Watching that scene without context on youtube is what compelled me to give season 2 a chance at all
>Seamen shanty
Just them singing is what made it for me, the cringy lyrics about LGBTwhatever and the shoehorned mention of Pennywise I could do without
>Topher making Abe believe that if he had sex with the teacher he would gain sexual experience
>The teacher telling Abe that if they're caught they would both be arrested
I'm sure there were more times that made me smirk or even giggle but episode 8 and 10 were the only ones that I found funny overall
I'm completely certain that they treated Cleo deliberately and for good reason this season. I think they're setting her up to get with Freida, become popular again, and then make it look like Frieda dumped her, allowing her to to vault herself in to the position of most popular.
Still not watching without Gandhi.
The Pepe Cthulhu adds to it.
>Edgelord
>Annoying one-note oppositives couple
>School prankster
>"THAT kid"
>Couch activist
>Contraband kid
>Try hard metalhead
But where is his cat?
They would have to find a DNA sample, anon
tfw catboy Lovecraft because there was a bit of Black personman's fur on his sample
He looks absolutely nothing like him
Wow, just like every single one of the nu-clones.
Didn't recognize him at all. Even picrel looks more like him.
I've ever seen him wear glasses but I guess eh did. The guys actual look fits the idea of a weird nerd better than his cartoon portion. He should've kept the weird tiny mouth and lips with beady eyes. Also keep the part.
He did wear glasses
He looks more like a math nerd who quotes race statistics and seethes in gym class
>quotes race statistics
The Pepe Cthulhu makes that impression
?
Zuckerberg is Lovecraft brought back with eldritch magicks like in Charles Dexter Ward
wtf, how does a black and white photograph make zuckerberg's skin look even weirder?
I till think my idea for the show would have been better.
What's your Idea, anon?
Well the story should have been in the likes of
>clones and shadowy board are frozen
>new shadowy board takes over a few years later and tries to continue the project
>they don't know scudworth froze everyone in the meat locker
>orders scudworth to create a new set of clones, now you have a new abe lincon, joan, jfk and cleo but their personalities are different because they have been raised in a different way, he also drops gandhi dna sample so he cant clone him
>since the highschool is filled with a new set of clones scudworth unfreezes the old clones to use in his park as he initially planned, he also forgets about ganhi among the old shadowy figures he left frozen in the freezer
>it fails spectacularly and the new board gets wind of that and order the old clones to also be enrolled in clone high together with the new ones
>hijinks ensue about the old clones having to deal with the new ones and live in the same roof with the same parents
>new and old found they have a lot in common but also disagree with a lot of stuff
1/2
2/2
>forgot to mention the clones also look visibly different as well
>such as new joan being the ditzy bawd, which gives joan hates because it reminds her of the prom night
>nu cleo being a fricking nerd with no confidence and old cleo tries to help her out just to drag the name of Cleopatra to the ground
>both kenedys are still the exact same and just use different colored shirts and teach each other old and new sexual puns
>many episodes after everything seems fine something bad happens at the meat locker and the old shadowy board starts to unfreeze
>show ends with a close of of the unfreezing gandhi's mouth trying to utter something
and there you go
yeah some of the songs felt too preachy, really took me off the show
Nah, they should've just unfroze everyone, reveal Ghandi was Gary Coleman, and then continued where they left off as if nothing happened.
Biggest mistake of S2 was that they tried rebooting it, and completely changed the original aim of S1 (teen drama parody), into a completely different show about characters from 2002 adjusting to a modern time.
It would've made sense to reboot the franchise, if the show was a long running classic that went on a long hiatus, but that definitely isn't the case for Clone High, and only reason why people wanted to see more Clone High was because the show got cancelled very early-on.
idk anon, doubling the original cast seems like a worse deal then having new historical figures to riff on and this crew could barely handle 4 new ones
thats because the new cahracters are all terrible aside from topher bus
>then
I think you mean than.kh8ar
1/10. It was created by white males and white males are all evil terrorist pieces of shit, Clone High Season 2 told me so.
is anyone who caught the first season the first time it aired in canada here?
i remember growing up that there used to be special versions of the intro on certain episodes
litter kills literally had a somber version of the theme sung by a woman (mandy moore?), the snowflake day ep had added jingle bells, and i remember at least 1 ep had the full intro
does anyone else know of any different intros that any other eps may have had?
i had no idea it even existed. i just watched on youtube, and then i watched mtv's downtown later.
Is Downtown also on youtube?
yes, it is easy to find
Does every reboot/remake/continuation show needs four fricking episodes at least about meta commentary on it being a reboot?
Did the Beavis and Butthead reboot do it?
The new movie had a couple of gags about the contrast between the duo and modern times. Otherwise, no.
The joan of arc show sucked. It "course corrected" from season 1 which feminists complained for only haivng 1 female writer.
This season is nearly all female. Too much estrogen writing ruined the show.
Staff writer: female
ep2, 3, 6, 8 were all female writers
ep9 had 3 female writers
They made Cleopatra's cleavage line shorter. Heretics.
>It was alright but some times it felt a little preachy and there was no way it would compare to the original.
Did you copy and paste this from a review for every reboot ever?
no, I typed it out letter by letter.
I don't watch reboots often.
The only new clone I actively dislike is frida. >Yes I am the guy who just made a post about it on the board. I didn't realize there was already a clone high thread
She adds literally nothing and feels like a poochie character played straight.
>If Frida being the most popular girl in school is supposed to be "her joke" I don't think it was particularly funny and no one points it out besides Cleo in episode 1.
I think my biggest problem with Frida is that she's the perfect representation of the biggest problem with the revival's writing and premise. I've only been out of highschool for a few years but I can confirm that the shtick of "woah highschool is so different than in 2003" is simply not true. The overall dynamics that existed in season 1 are still the dynamics, there were just a few more openly gay kids and we all had cell phones.
>The only other jokes with her is unibrow and her art is scary.
Whoop dee doo
imo new clone high is a bit better than the old one, it has more substance to it and the execution was a tad better than the OG one.
Things they could've handled better:
-The lizard lady could get some design tweaks, she did not fit into the artstyle that much; her voice actress could be different, she would've worked better if she was presented as a mysterious figure
- harriet tubman character traits and design were bland (and ugly)
- cleo had some character development but it felt like it happened behind the curtains
- topher's white leverage and other conficts like confucius catfishing were resolved lazily
>it has more substance to it
And you completely missed the point too
I liked some of it
if it comes back for another season I'll watch it. though Im not super hyped for it
4/10 for me
lots of it felt like it would have come straight out of season 1, but so much more of it just feels odd and strange and as if they were trying to write a different show
every episode has at least 2 good moments that get a real laugh out of me but by and large the jokes just don't land and it doesn't feel the same
plus no gandhi but that long-deceased horse has been beaten beyond definition
I'd give the new Clone High like maybe a 4 out of 10?
Perhaps 5.2 or so if I feel generous.
The new characters were fun, I liked how relaxed they were, how it became more cozy instead of strictly comedy and sarcasm.
There are great jokes in there, JFK and Columbus's online argument, ironically some of the best jokes of the show was when it went boomer mode and did shit about modern technology.
The main problem is the original cast is really nutered in this setting.
Joan becomes more annoying than Abe in S1, while loosing the only jokes she had.
JFK's voice actor should have been replaced, he can't do the voice anymore. Also he was turned into a manprostitute into a loyal himbo, which again takes away much of his edge and his gags. Thoygh he still has jokes about being dumb, so he's better of than Joan.
Abe feels too emasculated, and without Gandhi or his role as the character who learns a lesson, he feels out of place.
Cleo is still entertaining, but her entire story is shrugged off, and she becomes a background character for much of the season. She should have had her own storyline about her dealing with the end of S1.
The end of the original show has Cleo being dumped by both of her love interests for her rival, that should still be a sore wound.
But instead she's a joke character of being basic or something.
JFK’s voice is literally the only voice that sounds exactly the same lol
It was fine anons just got too fricking butthurt about the white guy confidence song
The reaction to that shit is making me reconsider everything, like maybe white people really do have a fragile ego, i don’t see anything wrong with that song i fricking hate how many morons have a podcast nowadays
post jokes/moments you actually liked from s2
>"See, that's why you always fact-check."
>"I corrected his grammar. It's over."
>"Practice makes progress."
>"I find being anonymous brings out the best in me."
>"I'd hate to bury him alive again." "He isn't screaming this time."
>"The coffee-maker didn't break, I was getting freaky with it."
Mr B going from calmly reassuring scudworth to yelling "FRICK YOU" when he found out he'd also been fired had me laughing
>”Is your mind flat-chested too?”
most of hariets deliveries were pretty good.
9/10 because it proved Ghandi was holding back S1
>Everyone looking at each other.
>Except Frida looking smug at the "Camera".
Fricking "Pet of the show"
>Every source I can find of S1 is either Clone High USA (which replaced the licensed music with generic stuff and got a few scenes cut) or it uses the longer intro for EVERY episode
>None of these sets have the special versions of the intro (like the sad version used in Litter Kills, Literally, or the version with the bell backing track used in the Snowflake Day episode)
No
Fricking

>or it uses the longer intro for EVERY episode
Why are you saying that like it's a bad thing you philistine?
Because when I watched it back when it first aired on TV it only used the longer intro for 1 episode
thanks anon
What do I do with this? I'm not a zoomer, please spoonfeed.
Why are they suddenly taking the romance sub-plot seriously in S2?
I remember it as being an ironic parody of high-school teen drama in S1, or am I remember it wrong?
I'm just mostly suprised that out of all the new and returning characters, Cleo gets totally redone, it's insane for an artistic chill type to immediately fall for an incredibly vapid social climber.
>it's insane for an artistic chill type to immediately fall for an incredibly vapid social climber.
yeah, I didn't get it either
>zoomers fricking ruined the concept and premise of the show and the show runners decide to create their show into the thing they parodied years ago
Not surprising. These homosexuals did the same to Gorillaz. Anything they latch onto becomes tainted
it happens way too often with everything.
shit like rockstart basically became what they used to mock
What was Gorillaz mocking?
I think it eventually found its footing, but it had a really slow start. I'm hopeful season 2 will be more consistently good.
