Why is he gay?
This guy is the ultimate contrarian. Both of his parents were white. His name is Armond White. So he said "Nah, frick you, I'm black."
Honorary white
Every man is imperfect. Being gay is his only weakness
Being gay increases his power. He is impervious to women.
He dodged the pussy spell
no woman could match his standards
>tricks a conservative publication into posting his glowing reviews of gay sex homosexual movies
>makes soitards seethe by calling out raceslop and childrens movies
He's hitting blows left and right
>shoehorning politics into every single film opinion is based when a conservative does it
This guy sucks
>Muh non political art !
This is a forum for adults, anon
>he got literal death threats from Cinemaphilesksuckers for giving Goy Story 3 a bad review
Joan is great.
of these only Battleship Potemkin, Intolerance, and Lawrence of Arabia are what you could call 'good'
You forgot The Passion of Joan of Arc.
I didn't forget The Passion of Joan of Arc
It’s great though.
What's wrong with About de Souffle, Jules et Jim, L'Avventura, Lola, The Magnificent Ambersons, and Nashville?
I haven’t seen those.
Well, The Magnificent Ambersons is an Orson Welles flick, so it can't be bad.
For further context that I just read on Wikipedia, The Magnificent Ambersons is a film that was edited down heavily from Welles' original vision because he was off in Brazil for some reason and while he was gone, RKO showed it to a test audience that was the 1942 equivalent of Logan Paul who said it sucked. They panicked from the poor reception and edited it into a happier movie, then to add insult to injury they burned all the unused footage, presumably to prevent Welles from ever being able to recreate the true film. Nevertheless, the version of The Magnificent Ambersons that was released is still considered by many to be one of the greatest films ever made, which makes you wonder how great it could have been if Welles himself had control over the final cut.
Nashville is fantastic but it's also 3 hours long.
Oh I love three hour movies, I'll have to check this out. It's gotten to the point where I've watched so many of them that shorter movies feel like they're finished too fast for me. I see it's by Robert Altman too, he made some good shit.
I love long movies too but a lot people don't so I had to say something.
Yeah, I understand why you mentioned it, especially on Cinemaphile where it's like the first thing people always bring up when they b***h about a movie. So fair enough.
It's only 2:40 and Ambersons is only 88m, so if you watch both (you should) it's just like two regular movies.
He trolls both sides from the right-adjacent, which he can't do on the left.
You do indeed have to pretend to be one of the right in order to troll them. If you don't embrace them, they will reject you immediately, but if you act like you're one of them, they will love you no matter what stupid shit you say.
Who's a leftist hack writing for leftist outlet that trolls the left?
That's the point, it's hard to be one because the left is too smart to be trolled by grifters. People like Brian Krassenstein have tried and failed. Meanwhile on the right, all you have to do is put on a fake angry face and scream about Star Wars and pronouns on YouTube and drooling morons will send you thousands of dollars.
LMAO what a damn moron. Leftists are easily trolled and fall for grifters than any people. This Black person talk like high and mighty redditor.
He's a contrarian moron, but he is also a bona fide cinematic encyclopaedia, and I cannot help but respect that .
He’s a fascinating guy. So clearly a contrarian troll, but also genuinely intelligent and an expert on cinema. Also a homosexual
>The Magnificent Ambersons
This could have been it.
Of the ones that I've seen
1. The Passion of Joan of Arc
2. Battleship Potemkin
3. Nashville
4. Intolerance
5. L'Avventura
6. Lola
7. À bout de souffle (rest in piss G-TARD)
All pretty good films. If he'd picked L'Eclisse or La Notte instead of L'Avventura that would've been at the top.
