Nobody has ever been treated worse in society because of a fucking joke on a stand up or in a tv show or cartoon. This is a fact.
This is the same argument that video games cause real life violence.
Twitter is my favorite comic/cartoon.
>punch up
When you want everyone to punch up, then people complain about making the same jokes about the same people over and over again. That's why barely anyone jokes about religion anymore, George Carlin beat that horse to death.
Same thing with cancel culture, every single comedian these days has some segment on cancel culture and Twitter bitches about it all the time
Is that missing Spongebob learning the lesson? The episode was a clear mockery of stereotypes and racism and rather than just saying "this is wrong" it puts it into perspective and has a great ending in which it is shown that comedy can still be uncensored and fair if it takes jabs at all subjects.

They don't. Quite literally they don't. First off, your feelings don't matter more than my feelings. Secondly if rights stopped where feelings got involved every single racist or homophobe would just get a free pass to do whatever because they've got really strong feelings. That's dumb.
Shut up, retarded tranny homosexual
Really, not one person got that he was fucking with you? Even with the "Your rights end where my feeling begin" that's clearly a mockery of SJW.

>I know, Poe's law and all that, but come on people, are you dumb enough to consider that's the way anybody would phrase that for a positive spin?
I've seen more than one occasion where SJW types have unironically claimed that godawful shit that no normal person likes was somehow a good thing.

Using a panel from "Space Moose" a comic which involved murdering an entire "Take back the night" march, knowing Zoomies won't get it. 10/10, that is masterful trolling.
Yeah I always thought that was the moral of the episode, that everyone can be mocked and made fun of.
The focusing of jokes on a particular group influencing opinions of that group is another, but the ultimate message is what I stated above.
"To be equal let's make fun of everyone except black people of course, oh and trans people and disabled people and gays and fat people and... you know what equality means only making fun of 'normal looking' white people, yes!"
>you should make fun of everyone equally
Except you can't do that. You're only allowed to make fun of white people, specifically white "cis" men.
You cry baby homosexuals never joke about white people, that's the problem. Even the most benign observations about white people cause you to freak out and break out the crime statistics. Even something as toothless as "white people can't handle spicy food" gets you lot bent out of shape.

This person is praising the episode, not condemning it. If you want to start a bait thread, get someone complaining about how the panty raid episode promotes rape culture or something. Or just write "Why did it fail?" with an image of Ed Edd n Eddy attached. Even Cinemaphile has its sacred cows
Chadrocco said that the real message of the episode is that it's okay to make fun of marginalized groups for most of your routine if you throw in a few token jokes about white people. That's why he hates it.
I like how it really boils common people's comedy as "making fun of a person".
Spongebob tried to tell a harmless joke, but the audience boo at him. It wasn't until he accidentally bring up Sandy that people found it "funny".
Cleverly, the first thing Spongebob do in the last scene is to make fun of himself, then proceed to make fun of everybody.
>Sandy and person on Twitter say jokes hurt people >lol dumb wimmin Twatter lol >Joker says jokes hurt people >A straight white male said it, it must be true!
>dude Joker is literally me, we live in a society! Gamers rise up!
I actually like the "GAYMERS" overly edgy, tryhard, loser, incel Joker meme, its a shame only soimen use it when they're having a meltdown
People take that movie seriously? I thought it was like saying Ryan Gosling is literally me when every movie Cinemaphile cares about has him be the most autistic fuck on display.
Who are the homosexuals listening to the fucking joker!? The Joker! You mean Batman's The Joker Joker?! Who's taking life lessons from the fucking Joker!?
Its retards who mix up cause and effect. Stereotypes are made because people already think lowly of you but they prefer to believe its the stereotypes that made people hate.
It did more to REFLECT the feelings of the time than AFFECT the feelings of the time. Nobody laughing at minstrel shows was on the fence about their feelings about negros until they saw them.
black people were already treated poorly in society around the time blackface was a thing. Blackface itself was not the sole cause of treating black people worse, it was a product of how they were treated during those times
Retards who are gonna hurt people are gonna hurt people anyway, shit they heard on TV is just a convenient excuse
You will never outrun the hate in this world
It's perfectly acceptable to make fun of anyone as anyone, but to be in the spirit of good fun it should be punching sideways or up always. Nobody would give a shit if edgy comedians told jokes about trans people or whatever skin color or demographic if it's done from a place of understanding and respect.
The reason why so many comedians can crack jokes about their own demographic is because they understand the nuances of that experience inherently, but there's nothing saying that anyone cant get an ample understanding of someone else's experience through dialogue and respect. Attitude and intent also usually come through easily to people.
Videogames don't cause violence, but uncritical parroting of stereotypes reinforces and reintroduces those stereotypes to new people. Also uncritically or without any nuance repeating stereotypes is lazy and easy, and not terribly funny for most people. It's why has-been comedians love doing it, because they aren't funny anymore or are too lazy to try hard.
>Nobody would give a shit if edgy comedians told jokes about trans people or whatever skin color or demographic if it's done from a place of understanding and respect.
Now you know as well as I do that Trans people would still hate it if it was from a place of understanding.
>Now you know as well as I do that Trans people would still hate it if it was from a place of understanding.
They consistently don't, what the boogeyman version of them living rent free in your head has to say is your own brain damage at fault.
You refuse to acknowledge any fault in your own reasoning by assuming equal or worse faults of whoever you are acting out against. The end result is your complaints being completely detached from whoever you're talking about.
>They consistently don't
Name a single instance where they didn't flip out at a joke made about them; they can't even take the helicopter joke even though it's not targeted at them.
Anon we're talking about punching sideways here. If you want to know what jokes they tell about themselves go find a subreddit for their memes.
It's actually on you to find a time they flipped out about a joke someone told that wasn't just pointlessly mean or ignorant or both. Have you even seen a joke about them where the punchline wasn't "haha suicide!"? If you never leave this site I'd bet that's the case with you.

You cry baby homosexuals never joke about white people, that's the problem. Even the most benign observations about white people cause you to freak out and break out the crime statistics. Even something as toothless as "white people can't handle spicy food" gets you lot bent out of shape.
The joke about joking about white people in front of a white audience is to never say "white people." If you make a joke about white people making bland and sub-par food, you get race statistics in the replies. Make the same joke about Anglos or WASPs having bland and sub-par food and you'll get nothing but laughs. Shit on italians, the irish, or whatever Euro country you could dream of. I'll never understand how the woke mob of comedians can't catch onto that.
The people who tell you that jokes shouldn't "punch down" or that video games and media with sexy women makes boys sexist will also insist that violent video games can't make someone violent. >decent joke
It's a joke that entertains someone. There are no other criteria.
To leftists, comedy is just another tool to reorganise society and bring out social justice and equity. It has no value in and of itself, other than the fact that it works as a good disguise for activism. The fact that they equate it with violence at all ("punching") should tell you something about what they think they're doing when they make cartoons, write jokes, or produce movies and TV shows. Art and entertainment only serve as a covert vehicle for organized violence against people they see as the enemy. They're wrong, of course, because only people raised by a TV get their morals that way, but it explains their obsession with taking control of those spaces.
>The fact that they equate it with violence at all ("punching")
The origin of the term is unknown. Even though the comedic formula using the classic "set-up, premise, punch line" format was well-established in Vaudeville by the beginning of the 20th century, the actual term "punch line" is first documented in the 1920s; the Merriam-Webster dictionary pegs the first use in 1921.

i dont like the "punch up" thing because it implies people know what "up" even is. It acts like life is on some linear pecking order with zero nuance or context. What if american black people made jokes about african black people? Is that punching up? Am I punching down if I'm making fun of gingers while being both gay and retarded myself? How do we quantify this social order, and how do we know what's above and below us?
i think its generally unfair to make fun of retarded or disabled, and or severely deformed people. everyone else is fair game. there's a standup guy who pokes fun at disability but its generally directed at himself and in good fun.
You don't, you're wrong whenever is convenient for you to be wrong and you can't be wrong if you know what you are doing, same reason why taxes are are overly complicated

What if they're israeli? They have money, is it not fair to target them when saying "eat the rich"?
Asian and Indian Americans are said to make more money than everyone else as well, but they're minorities.
>how about israelites?!!
I've never really understood why and how israelites became scapegoats for basically everything…
I don't get it. I don't understand this level of blind, ridiculous hatred.
If somebody made a racially charged joke towards a black & israelites millionaire would you say "it's fine because they were punching up?" If you shit on them for being a millionaire that's punching up, if you shit on them for being black & israelites that's punching down.
This reminds me of a feminism subreddit getting mad at Bill Burr for his various rants against women. They did the whole you shouldn't punch down thing but I'm genuinely not sure if Bill would think women are "down" in the context he's discussing.
Well israeli people certainly aren't down in the context of being millionaires. In the US there is no ethnic or racial majority of millionaires, but israeli people are by far the largest of any group, well above white Europeans which are the most populous group and among the most significantly under-represented. Black people are significantly over-represented as well, East Asians too. White folks can really only punch up in the example that that anon gave. Not a good one in retrospect. I think the whole thing gets to the heart of the issue, that to get behind this SJW woke crap you have to hold all of these conflicting opinions about yourself at the same time. You're equal but simultaneous an inferior victim which is also the source of your power and superiority under that system, all so that you can whichever you need to be in any given circumstance as it suits your interests.
We...We're taking life lessons from Spongebob? From Spongebob Squarepants; the cartoon with the anthro sponge and his highjinks? We're talking life lessons from that show? From fucking Spongebob?
>We're taking life lessons from Spongebob?
because children watch it and repeat the behavior they see? That's why caillou was cancelled/banned in a lot of places. Children were acting like assholes because of it.
Parents used to teach kids to not do this. Unless they're watching something explicitly educational, and even then the show would tell kid to talk to their parents about this. No, even children shouldn't be taking life lessons from spongebob.
>That's why caillou was cancelled/banned in a lot of places. Children were acting like assholes because of it.
Caillou was a fucking asshole, but even then parents should have done a better job teaching kids to not do this.
I mean yeah but to post that here means you’re either unbelievably naive/unfamiliar with Cinemaphile or this is a bait post. Either way nothing good will happen in this thread.
I think we all care when jokes are directed at us. The only issue is what you do afterwards. If you respond with jokes at your expense with surprise, and even mild irritation, then congrats! You're a normal human being.
If instead you respond with
>NOOOO! You can't joke about this class of people! Don't you know this is literal violence you bigot!
Then you're wrong. You need to understand, for trans people to be excepted, they have to be the target of jokes just like anyone else.
>You need to understand, for trans people to be excepted, they have to be the target of jokes just like anyone else.
The word is accepted and I can tell you are incredibly smart.
Actually, I think I am. I made so much sense that you had to pick on the misuse of a word instead of my argument, which of course means my argument is pretty good.
Also
>Nobody has ever been treated worse in society because of a fucking joke on a stand up or in a tv show or cartoon. This is a fact.
This wasn't because of a joke, this was because people started believing this was actual fact. Which, of course, isn't the fault of the joke. Its the fault of the people so fucking stupid they couldn't tell it was a joke.
Your argument isn't "pretty good." Trans people are not more accepted since Dave Chappelle shat on them in every Netflix special he had, but they are being denied gender affirmative care and their parents are turned in to child protective agencies for respecting their gender identity. You can't have a laugh about trannies and say it's all in good fun when we're doing everything in our power to reduce their numbers. I disagree. Its time we start blaming people like we should be doing. You got parents whos daughters becomes whores, and who do they blame? The Kardashians! No, not themselves for failing to instill good morals into their children, it has to be someone else's fault.
You got retards on Twitter who are 20 something year old failures who fucked their lives up due to moving out early or getting the wrong degree. Who do they blame? Capitalism ! The System! Not themselves for getting the wrong degree, or shit, not going to a trade school.
People refuse to fact check? They believe a joke is the fact? Blame jokes! Not themselves for listening to some guy who heard their friend repeat a fact he heard from his girlfriend's mom's brother. It's the fault of the joke and the joke teller!

Cinemaphile is entirely made up of the bullying sponges in every friend group, to cope with the fact that they were incessantly made fun of and too chickenshit to retaliate they hide behind these ideas like 'everyone should be/used to be made fun of equally' so they don't have to confront the truth that they're just more hateable than most people
>I dunno man, does me calling you a nagger and laughing about your broken upbringing harm you in any conceivable way?
Does you just calling me a nagger and laughing at my broken upbring harm me? No. Does you doing it in a jokey or humorous way harm me? Also no.
You can easily make a joke about black people and broken homes in a way that I'd like, or you can fail at that and just say racist stuff. Regardless, you aren't literally harming me by saying things that are annoying, and I think its creepy how people say words are literally violence now.
>What about when a bunch of us get together and laugh at you simultaneously?
Does anyone LIKE being randomly laughed at? Regardless, you aren't harming me by pointing and laughing. At best, you're an annoyance. At worse, you're harassers seconds away from being arrested.
>What about when we all go our separate ways with our reinforced negative attitudes about negros and make you and your family's lives worse via a death of the thousand cuts by way of snide remarks under our breath and seeing you as a savage?
You might find this surprising, but I sincerely don't care about racists in America. Why in the world would I devote my time to worrying about what a RACIST thinks of me. Actually, how am I dying a death by a thousand cuts just because some racists mutters under their breath about back peopel? If that could kill black people, we'd all be dead. Also, I want to respond to this because I think its funny: >You impacted yet, boy?
No, and lmao I bet you thought this was a real zinger. You must understand, as a black people, I know there's things worse than racist jokes. Trans people will learn this lesson eventually.
You want to know something even funnier? Dave Chappelle has been attacked more times for trans jokes than actual trans people have been attacked for his jokes.
The OP pic, OP, and all the replies here are stupid, but the "don't punch down" rule is a self-imposed one for never looking like an asshole. Regardless of people politicizing it, it's still a good one to use if you want to be liked more than hated. Sure it's easier to just make fun of one group and hope everyone not upset by it will be enough to compensate, or to make fun of everyone equally and use that to deflect criticism. That's the easy way, the cheap way. But when you punch up it means less to anyone you hit and their numbers are smaller. Punching down limits your audience.
You wanna pretend you're superior for not following some SJW trend, go ahead and shoot yourself in the foot. It's like refusing to eat healthy because you think vegans are annoying.
Punch down and your audience is smaller and you look like an asshole, punch up and your audience is bigger and you're liked. Just common fucking sense.
>Sure it's easier to just make fun of one group and hope everyone not upset by it will be enough to compensate, or to make fun of everyone equally and use that to deflect criticism. That's the easy way, the cheap way. >Punch down and your audience is smaller and you look like an asshole, punch up and your audience is bigger and you're liked. Just common fucking sense.
Aren't these conflicting statements? You basically said "Its easier and cheaper to make fun of one group or make fun of everyone, but if you punch up, your audience is bigger and everyone will like you for it!".
>punching up is not funny because.... I said so >you can't make jokes without making fun of someone!
Go outside. Have sex.
People make jokes about shared experiences. A majority of humor is about communicating a concept non-verbally through shared knowledge. The people who think all humor comes from tragedy are misanthropic nuts. Jokes are funny because of how you tell them in the same way monsters are scary through how little you show them. It's more about what isn't said, what's implied, what's shared. Then another whole branch of humor is from misdirection or shaking up preconceptions, so setting up an obvious payoff then surprising with something else can result in humor.
stereotype humor only ever works because the stereotypes are known. It's confirming what exists in their heads so they think "that's so true" and chuckle. That's why it's such a lazy form of humor.
Punching up works the same but you have more people laughing along and the people who are "up" are to the vast majority, more deserving of it. It's seen as fair. The comedian is seen as an underdog to go after people bigger than them above. It's still just as lazy but it's more effective.
And if you're too lazy to rub a couple braincells together, making fun of yourself is safe with any audience. Insisting you have to make fun of people just to be funny is a sign you're not funny and shouldn't try a career in comedy.

Wow. Clever. Seriously. I bet you get a Netflix special.
My solution would be to make jokes and let the pieces fall where they may. I'm a firm believer of jokes never causing a group of people to be dehumanized in anyway; look through history, and you'll see the way propaganda dehumanizes people. Unless I'm mistaken, this wasn't done through joking and stand up, but through authority figures going "These people are the enemy, hate these people".
Also, try making fun of everyone. I legitimately think that's the best way to do comedy anyway. Just for god sakes be funny, and take the L if your joke doesn't land right.
If your entire routine is based around insults, you're not actually funny to begin with. Any idiot can get a laugh if he just makes fun of somebody.
Wait, but if any idiot can get a laugh if he makes fun of someone, doesn't that mean that idiot is still being funny? What you should have said is "If you use insults to make people laugh, you're not a comedian. Any idiot can make people laugh with insults".
easy =/= more effective
I'm saying one is easy and cheap but limits your audience. The other extreme is harder but with more potential.
As another anon said, a lot of washed up comedians develop a reputation for cheap shots using stereotypes and little else. This is because it takes no effort or creativity, it's easy. But far fewer find them funny. I don't even mean in the "they're offended" sense, I mean the jokes are just dry to all but a few.
Dumb humor is the same. You can make lazy dumb and childish humor and there are stupid people out there who are suckers for it. Most people find it obnoxious. So you can cheaply dish out content to bring in money from a small audience. If you can survive on just them then that's fine, but you'll never be big. And if you used to be big you'll eventually just become known for the fart jokes with your glory days too far behind you.
Punching down is the same effect. It's cheap, it's easy, the path is so tried and tested there's no new ground, you're only reinforcing what others already think in their heads and that somehow makes them chuckle. It can pay bills. It won't get you anywhere.
The OP pic, OP, and all the replies here are stupid, but the "don't punch down" rule is a self-imposed one for never looking like an asshole. Regardless of people politicizing it, it's still a good one to use if you want to be liked more than hated. Punch down and your audience is smaller and you look like an asshole, punch up and your audience is bigger and you're liked. Just common fucking sense.
>That's the easy way, the cheap way.
No, that's the best way.
Anon the video is older than you are, I've seen it before. It stopped being funny when robin williams stopped holding the mic. It started again when Robin opened his mouth and then stopped when he closed it again.
Everyone in that video is now either dead or so washed up they might as well be. The humor was pretty dry and most people were tuning in for everyone but the guy who you think is peak comedy. That was your attempt at a gotcha for what "real" comedy looks like.
>go to insult comic's routine >hr is known for singling people out and making fun of someone's characteristics >get offended when he singles you out and makes fun of your characteristics
You're the kind of person who gives away their credit card number at the promise of free stuff, aren't you?
My point is more that true comedy doesn't protect people, if you think it should then it's because you believe you are the only party with enough power and influence to change society
"Sticks and stones my break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
TLDR: Sandy's a fucking pussy, rather than prove them wrong by doing something impressive and smart, she just mutilated spongebob into not doing it again. She really is a stupid squirrel.
>"Sticks and stones my break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
This is the biggest cope lie that every parent tells their kids. Words hurt everyone. It's why there's school shooters. It's why people need therapy. It's why people troll on Cinemaphile.
Those people don't function properly. Neither do i or you, but that's exactly the point. Normal people brush things off, you and i and every other bitter cynical asshole stay seething over it.
Words literally do not "hurt" in the same way that sticks and stones "hurt". That's the point of the saying. Of course words bother people, but they don't break your bones. If they did, none of us could function.
Would you really cry if some random person just called you an asshole on the street? What about racial slurs, like nagger or something? I've been called a nagger by random people on the street, and you know what I did? Walked into the restaurant I was headed for and ate my dinner.
I'll ignore for a second that this is an insane hyperbole that's not at all reflective of reality. That's still not literally breaking my bones, I can always just leave the town. There's a variety of free ways my broke ass can up and leave literally everything behind and have some sort of housing and education, so I wouldn't have to put up with that. If anything, it'd make leaving easier if everyone in town just hated me.
The point is that if it's possible in a worst case scenario, then it's possible in other scenarios.

Anonymous
What does that even mean? I'm tempted to just call it a terrible point, but I don't think I even understand it. It reads like nonsense. We know racism is possible both as a worst case scenario and as a normal "guy called me a bad name" scenario, but one is clearly more extreme than the other, isn't it?
Assuming that's true what can be done about it? Ban all comedy based on someone's misfortune?
"Punching up" is clearly not a solution since a lot of the people you mentioned are straight white men
That's true, but the answer is that hurting people honestly isn't as taboo as we pretend it is. Normal people do it all the time, not just school shooters and 4chin hackers. Maybe we should change, but I don't see why comedy in particular has to bend over backwards while the rest of the world can go on doing whatever the hell they want.
>I have a right to never be inconvenienced or feel unhappy.
I'd say "we need another war", but there's already a few going on, and it's doing nothing to deal with the manchild problem.
Christians are the worlds most prosecuted religious group, they face discrimination and violence every day in the middle east and africa due to islamic extremist, while israelites are the most privileged and well off, yet we all know what jokes get told and which not.
Making jokes about yourself is punching down, but the only victim is yourself or anyone who seems to relate too closely and can't deal with it. It's decided that making jokes of yourself is cool, so obviously punching down isin't as absolutely wrong as people say it is.
Honestly joking about any group that isn't 1% is punching down and people do it all the fucking time, so these kind of weird takes just doesn't hold up.
Sandy isn't fucking vulnerable though. She's a scientist who can always afford all the resources she needs to invent her new shit, and can beat quite literally everyone in Bikini Bottom to a pulp. She has devastated sections of the city when she's gone into heat before hibernation. There is no way to make fun of her without punching up given you are at risk of her stomping down on you afterwards.
It's unbelievable how SJWs are incapable of finishing anything they watch.
And then people wonder "why would they cancel JB if he always loses in the end?" because they never get that far.
That's actually pretty standard. I just went through the catalog by reply count, and all the threads with more replies have similar ratios or even fewer people.
I kept hoping that episode would end with spongebob manipulating Sandy at her most vulnerable and pitiful into getting in relationship as her most submissive as most definitely a clear allegory for rape or something god im getting hard just remembering what the episdoe i don't even remember the ending tbh in my mind Patrick and Spongebob ran a train on her and she was thankful despite all the slapping and choking because she was so starved for affection and intimacy fuck i hate that my ex moved away i want to break her heart again it's so fucking good
You can clearly see how much Zoomers are mentally unable to go outside or touch grass even if they were outside physically.
You have to be so terminally online to not only think that jokes have this much power on people but to believe that humans are so damn retarded to perceive other people based on a joke they heard instead of their experiences, socialization, morality, beliefs and Principles.
It's even a weaker argument than the "violent video games lead to violent children" because at least the latter has the benifit of children actually being kinda retarded.
"Punching up" is just code for "waaaah, stop making fun of whatever I deem shouldn't be made fun of!"
It's got to be the most pussified thing ever. Comedy is about making fun of everyone and everything. Don't like it? Too fucking bad, it's just a joke. If you get mad about it, you're just making yourself an even bigger joke than whatever the original joke was.
>and they need to be shamed into assimilation.
Has this ever worked with anything? Whites have been shamed for being white for a few years now, and the only thing we got for it was more school shooters.
>rich >intelligent >privileged >physically fit >universally liked before and after this episode
How is this not punching up? SpongeBob is an incompetent fool making minimum wage at a fast food restaurant. He is regularly berated by those around him and this is one of the few times he is put in the spotlight.

Op btfo
What if a particular group commits half of the violent crime?
but enough about men
He said half, not 88%.
wow it's almost like women are weak
Lesbian couples have the highest rates of domestic abuse.
i said women not dykes
Would you like to break down those stats any more?
I guess all living people commit 100% of the crime. The sentence is death.
To do it equally, you'd have to stop making fun of some people so you could even out the fun.
>Equality is when some people are exempt from the rules. You know, to even it out!
"To be equal let's make fun of everyone except black people of course, oh and trans people and disabled people and gays and fat people and... you know what equality means only making fun of 'normal looking' white people, yes!"
You cry baby homosexuals never joke about white people, that's the problem. Even the most benign observations about white people cause you to freak out and break out the crime statistics. Even something as toothless as "white people can't handle spicy food" gets you lot bent out of shape.
I love how you called them crybaby homosexuals while literally sperging about white people.
(Same anon) I make fun of everyone; people need to have a sense of humor.

I kneel, FPBP
This "NOOOOOOO A JOKE SHOULD PUNCH UP" shit has really helped to kill comedy. A joke should be based on whatever's funny, simple as that.
"There's no up in equality" is the simple answer to this kind of trash.
Equality got tossed in the bin long ago bro, now they say 'equity'
I like how it really boils common people's comedy as "making fun of a person".
Spongebob tried to tell a harmless joke, but the audience boo at him. It wasn't until he accidentally bring up Sandy that people found it "funny".
Cleverly, the first thing Spongebob do in the last scene is to make fun of himself, then proceed to make fun of everybody.
Why should I make fun of people equally when people aren't equal?
Sandy is capable of murdering everyone in Bikini Bottom if she wanted to.
She can't even breathe underwater.
All someone has to do is swing a baseball bat at her helmet and she'd be dead in seconds.
I don't think so, she is from Texas after all.
You have a point, Texas isn’t known for murders, shootings, or massacres. If it was you would look really, really dumb.
>What are California and New York City
A lot of people are capable of killing a small town's worth of people given the right tools.
>decent joke
It's a joke that entertains someone. There are no other criteria.
Pretty sure shitty Family Guy cutaway gags entertain people, doesn't make them decent jokes
If they make someone laugh it's a decent joke.
Nobody has ever been treated worse in society because of a fucking joke on a stand up or in a tv show or cartoon. This is a fact.
This is the same argument that video games cause real life violence.
What about when South Park "supposedly " inspired kick a ginger day
>tfw no punch a white day
South Park inspired execs to replace ginger's with blacks in everything
>Sandy and person on Twitter say jokes hurt people

>dude Joker is literally me, we live in a society! Gamers rise up!
I actually like the "GAYMERS" overly edgy, tryhard, loser, incel Joker meme, its a shame only soimen use it when they're having a meltdown
Joker is mentally ill, he should have been bullied.
>Joker says jokes hurt people
I don't think you watched the film, anon.
Oh, you're right, I just rewatched and Joker shot Murray because the joke didn't hurt his feelings and he laughed so hard his finger slipped.
I'm sure blackface and minstrel shows really helped advanced the cause of equality and civil rights for former slaves and their descendants.
It did tho; they were regarded as animals before that. Being funny clown people was a step up.
Yikes
It did, they stopped being so scared of them going ape shit
It did more to REFLECT the feelings of the time than AFFECT the feelings of the time. Nobody laughing at minstrel shows was on the fence about their feelings about negros until they saw them.
This
Yeah but that shit perpetuated into further generations, helping to maintain white supremacy. Start em young, that's the groomer way
Without minstrel shows to soften the opinion on blacks to whites America would've never gotten past the "publically lynching negros" phase
Al Jolson was a hero
>Actually blackface was the reason blacks have rights in the US
I bet theres someone who actually believes this.
You really thinks blacks did it themselves? Lol.
I mean interestingly enough, for Bert Williams it did
black people were already treated poorly in society around the time blackface was a thing. Blackface itself was not the sole cause of treating black people worse, it was a product of how they were treated during those times
I was under the impression menstrual shows were entertaining.
>menstrual
They were also behaving poorly.
>CotC poster is retarded
unsurprising honestly
It did though
pic related, a minstrel cartoon
Al Jonson (the most famous blackface entertainer) was one of the earliest Hollywood actors to fight discrimination in the industry.
Retards who are gonna hurt people are gonna hurt people anyway, shit they heard on TV is just a convenient excuse
You will never outrun the hate in this world
But you don't understand anon.
Telling a trans joke means speaking hate speech and made a tranny really really sad.
You should be censored for that.
>Nobody has ever been treated worse in society because of a fucking joke on a stand up or in a tv show or cartoon. This is a fact.
>Can't even mention one
>prove my unsourced statement is false!
Goddamn retard.
Go google reddit trans meme subreddits. The egg one is probably the only one most people have heard of. What are they joking about? That's what's safe to joke about. Why? Because it's shit that they share rather than shit that's meant to bully.
>prove my unsourced statement is false!
you are the one trying to claim every single joke made about trannies by non-trannies has been hostile
>Go google reddit trans meme subreddits
What is that supposed to prove? That people are willing to take shit from their in-group? What a shocking revelation, retard. Next you are gonna tell me that blacks can call each others naggers.
>you are the one trying to claim every single joke made about trannies by non-trannies has been hostile
I literally said it was only every joke you heard because you're a terminally online idiot who afraid of every website that isn't this one.
Yet the only examples you have of jokes about trannies which haven't been poorly received by trannies are from another site for terminally online idiots.
Fine, google a gay bar then.
>What is that supposed to prove? That people are willing to take shit from their in-group? What a shocking revelation
That was literally the entire point of the conversation here and what you were arguing against, how did you miss that?
What did you think "punching to the side" meant?
That's a stupid point then. Are you suggesting that only trannies can understand trannies?
The literal post that started this conversation was saying "to make jokes without offending you need to actually understand the group so that what you're saying is from a place of understanding and respect".
How did you get this far?
>"to make jokes without offending you need to actually understand the group so that what you're saying is from a place of understanding and respect"
And I ask, who has accomplished this feat in wisdom? Where is the fabled non-trans comedian who has mastered this power?
Terry Pratchett seemed to manage well enough.
What jokes did he make?
You wouldn't it without reading the books.
Do you think forcing someone to produce a one-liner on a hyper specific topic like this will produce a rib cracking joke under any topic?
Am I supposed to take your word on it then? Given that TERFs were scrounging for proof that Pratchett was transphobic to try and own Neil Gaiman when he criticized Rowling and they found nothing I'm skeptical on that.
>nobody in the response chain has mentioned trans people
>TERFs were scrounging for proof that Pratchett was transphobic to try and own Neil Gaiman when he criticized Rowling and they found nothing
Meds.
>nobody in the response chain has mentioned trans people
anon this particular train of conversation started all the way up here:
It has very specifically been about trans people ever since.
If you have joined in an somehow missed that crucial aspect of the conversation, then the real joke was inside of you all along.
>The entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks.
Did a quick Google, think it's pretty funny without context.
He was asking for jokes about trannies by pratchett, not just any joke.
You could read some of the books. The entire reason to bring him up was because his quote about punching up not down is what made the concept so popular lately. And that got spread around because of those TERFs bringing him up recently.
It's all one big joke here that's gone full circle here.
What is the quote?
I went to google it and apparently as a funny twist, he never actually said it, someone misattributed it to him like 8 years ago and then it got spread to those "quote" sites and has been associated with him ever since.
Well, that explains why I couldn't find it either lol
>but uncritical parroting of stereotypes reinforces and reintroduces those stereotypes to new people.
There's a difference between knowing about the stereotypes and actively enforcing said stereotypes.
>Uncritical
What the fuck does this even mean
Anyone who uses that image usually posts the dumbest fucking shit you're going to read that day. This post is no exception.
Trannies are mentally ill and aren't worth respect due to the fact they inundate their lives and identity with their fetish or trauma and make it everyone else's problem when people don't want to play along.
Kids at certain schools got bullied for being named "Vicky" after the icky vicky song came out.
Wow, a bunch of retards heard a harmless song from tv and sung it. How damaging.
Someone got made fun of for who they are, something they have no control over.
South Park literally encouraged people to go out and harass gingers, which fans then did, as a joke.
>encourage fans
They made a episode, it was perpetrated the antagonist of the show, who you are not supposed sympathize with, doing shitty things playing it up for laughs. Only a retard would think a show as “encouraging” it.
touch grass.
blow out your brains
South Park alone made me pick on gingers and israelites as a kid because I thought it was funny. I was a pretty fucking dumb and rotten kid, yeah, but what you said is genuinely 100% untrue.
>South Park alone made me
Nope you're just a shitty person.
>shitty person sees hurtful joke
>shitty person uses hurtful joke to hurt people
>joke hurt people
>Retard thinks he repeat everything seen on tv
How fucking stupid are you?
Try again in English.
>South Park alone
no it didn't
The people who tell you that jokes shouldn't "punch down" or that video games and media with sexy women makes boys sexist will also insist that violent video games can't make someone violent. Media, you see, influences your thoughts except when you're taking away the media I like, then it's harmless.
We are in a place in history where stand-up comedians are quoted in political debates, haven't you seem the dozens of actors and shitty mid-life comedians trying to give an opinion on gun debate or abortion or whatever Americunts are bitching about?
>thinking political debates are important not just bunch of rich dick heads schilling for party agenda and insulting each other
This is why are country is a laughing stock, cause retards like you take that shit seriously.
>are
>there
tranny jokes on here are literally all about making fun of them comiting suicide.
And? If there influenced by a joke on here, they didn’t deserve in the first place and practically proved them right.
Dank meme, you helped contribute to people dying.
No, we didn't. Stop being retarded.

The people who post there are pretty cartoonish...
>Getting life advice from obvious metaphors for children,
also the message was to make fun of everyone Steven Hillenberg stood up for the South Park guys when they had Indiana Jones get raped
And suddenly I’m not sad he died anymore.
The world will return the favor to you, I assure you. Actually let’s face it, when you die I doubt anyone will even know, let alone care. Oh well.
>Steven Hillenberg stood up for the South Park guys when they had Indiana Jones get raped
He what? I thought he stopped making public statements after leaving the show because he was a shy, quiet type.
>punch up
When you want everyone to punch up, then people complain about making the same jokes about the same people over and over again. That's why barely anyone jokes about religion anymore, George Carlin beat that horse to death.
Same thing with cancel culture, every single comedian these days has some segment on cancel culture and Twitter bitches about it all the time
You are the worst thing to happen to anything ever.
You know, you can relax your face once the plug is in, right?
>punching down isn't the same joke over and over again
Nice soi reddit wojak you got there. What a way to disprove your point.
>That's why barely anyone jokes about religion anymore
What hole do you live in?
>Jokes have to punch up
A joke just has to be funny
MEDS
your point being?
Based
>only people raised by a TV get their morals that way,
I regret to inform you that is becoming the norm
Do you actually think leftists came up with the term punching up/down?
Is that missing Spongebob learning the lesson? The episode was a clear mockery of stereotypes and racism and rather than just saying "this is wrong" it puts it into perspective and has a great ending in which it is shown that comedy can still be uncensored and fair if it takes jabs at all subjects.
This like saying "Do you remember that movie in which Rudolf was discriminated for being different?" As if that was the message.
On the other hand, fucking kill yourself OP. You fucking thread is a Tweeter screenshot, really? Do you have no fucking shame?
That was pretty much the message of Rudolph, though
It really wasn’t, you’re just fucking stupid.
>confusing satire and parody for "a joke"
You might just be stupid. And that isn't a joke, just a sad fact.
Texans lives matter
i dont like the "punch up" thing because it implies people know what "up" even is.
A decent joke should be funny.
Don't Simp for Will Smith. It's distasteful.

The absolute ironing.
How about you do something useful, like tell the thread what demographics you belong to so we can mock you relentlessly for it.
What if they're israeli? They have money, is it not fair to target them when saying "eat the rich"?
Asian and Indian Americans are said to make more money than everyone else as well, but they're minorities.
Most israelite aren't rich
>how about israelites?!!
I've never really understood why and how israelites became scapegoats for basically everything…
I don't get it. I don't understand this level of blind, ridiculous hatred.
Where should I start?
Anything
Oh, Blood libel is nothing more than propaganda
If somebody made a racially charged joke towards a black & israelites millionaire would you say "it's fine because they were punching up?" If you shit on them for being a millionaire that's punching up, if you shit on them for being black & israelites that's punching down.
Are you saying blacks and israelites are inferior?

Not only that, but cherrypicking parts of the episode that agree with a narrative and cropping out the episode's ending
Caillou was a fucking asshole, but even then parents should have done a better job teaching kids to not do this.
>parents
Yeah, good luck with that.
>bullying people is bad
yes okay?
why the fuck did she feel the need to tweet that what's her fucking point
I mean yeah but to post that here means you’re either unbelievably naive/unfamiliar with Cinemaphile or this is a bait post. Either way nothing good will happen in this thread.
>nooo but the direction of the punching!
I do not care
You'll care when it's directed at you, bitch
Also
This wasn't because of a joke, this was because people started believing this was actual fact.
Just say you fucking hate trannies and naggers, it's far more honest than your bullshit philosophy about making fun of everyone equally, as if such a thing is possible when personal biases come into play
>Dave Chappelle shat on transgender people
No he didn't you retard
Yes, he did you retard.
No he didn't retard. Don't bother trying to prove me wrong because you can't.
Cope.
>Trans people are not more accepted since Dave Chappelle shat on them in every Netflix special he had
Ha, no they aren't! They whined, complained, and literally demanded to be different, so why would they be more accepted?
>but they are being denied gender affirmative care and their parents are turned in to child protective agencies for respecting their gender identity.
Because of Chappelle?
>You can't have a laugh about trannies and say it's all in good fun when we're doing everything in our power to reduce their numbers.
We, who's we? Maybe you mean YOU can't laugh at trannies, but I certainly can. I've literally done nothing to harm them in any conceivable way, have you?
>ust say you fucking hate trannies and naggers, it's far more honest than your bullshit philosophy about making fun of everyone equally, as if such a thing is possible when personal biases come into play
I neither hate trannies nor naggers considering I'm black myself. And no, I'm not going to let you lecture me on how I'm not black because I believe this or that; the left gets away with that too much anyway.
>This wasn't because of a joke, this was because people started believing this was actual fact.
>This wasn't because of a joke, this was because people started believing this joke.
>This wasn't because of a joke, this was because of a joke.
You'd be right if you weren't wrong. If I tell a joke, and people don't know its a joke and take it as fact, how is it my fault and not the fault of the people who don't research it? Do those people have any blame at all?
So you're claiming if you spread misinformation and people believe it, you're not at fault? Telling.
No I'm not claiming that. Jokes are inherently not meant to be taken seriously, so its not misinformation. That's why people say "its just a joke".
None of that is true. You're just talking out your ass here anon.
>None of that is true.
Its entirely true. Another truth is that you can't hide obvious bigotry within jokes since a bigot will always fall back on "its just a joke!" while a comedian will say "Yeah, sorry. The joke didn't land and I apologize for that".
Like it or not, the word "joke" by definition directly implies that you aren't being serious. How the hell do you tell a serious joke?
Who are you arguing with? A phantom?
>Hey everybody, [racism racism racism]
>it was just a joke
>jokes don't hurt anybody
>do your own research
>Jokes are inherently not meant to be taken seriously, so its not misinformation. That's why people say "its just a joke".
>Another truth is that you can't hide obvious bigotry within jokes since a bigot will always fall back on "its just a joke!" while a comedian will say "Yeah, sorry. The joke didn't land and I apologize for that".
Contradicting yourself.
You've made no sense. Jokes aren't meant to be taken serious, but sometimes people do get offended by jokes, and so you should apologize. I also said bigots will ALWAYS fall back on "its just a joke" implying that this isn't a thing everyone will do, but a certain type of person will do this without fail.
Care to tell me where the contradiction is?
>and so you should apologize
Fuck that and fuck them, I don't owe them shit.
Anon it's comedy night, you're on stage, and you just pissed off the entire crowd slightly because you didn't realize they were somewhat sensitive to the football team you just joked about who had a recent major loss.
Instead of apologizing you say "fuck you, I don't owe you shit". I don't think your career in comedy is going to work out.
If you were funny you'd just tell another joke and win the crowd back. It's not that hard.
Anon do you not see how that's different from "fuck you I don't owe you anything"?
There is no difference because they're the same action homosexual. You don't back down from a bad joke or else you admit your a shit fucking comedian who can't read a room, you move past it or even keep digging until you hit funny.
Are you fucking autistic? Do you take every statement as word for word literal?
>You don't back down from a bad joke or else you admit your a shit fucking comedian who can't read a room, you move past it or even keep digging until you hit funny.
Or you admit you told ONE bad joke and keep it moving! Why is the only answers either "I have told a bad joke. My career is over" or "I must continue to dig myself into this hole"?
I meant "should" as it "its a nice thing to do" and not "you are bound by blood to apologize". Obviously, you don't have to do anything but age and die.
If people truly can't tell fact from fiction, then it's time to repeal the first then, it's just unworkable.
They'll just say how you need a village to raise a child and presto. Responsibility gone. Now they can blame everyone else.
Technically a child should seek a friend's house or neighbor if their parents regress to becoming emotionally abusive
>we should blame others for blaming others
Pull yyourself up by your bootstraps, son, and DO BETTER
my boots don't have straps dad
Then use your earlobe hoops or whatever you whippersnappers have these days.
Pull yourself up by your buttplug then
Ah now I get it
Yeah, just take on the entire world by yourself! Who cares if every single person and thing is out to get you? Just keep at it!
What in the world could you possibly mean by this? My message is "We need to start blaming people again, even if it means blaming ourselves", and your response is "Yeah, just take on the entire world!"? Are you saying I'd need to change the whole world if I want to see people take personal responsibility again?
I want Sandy to become fat like the squirrel milf from American Dad.
>Anon 1: take responsibility for your actions
>Anon 2: BUT THE WORLD IS AGAINST ME I CAN'T FIGHT IT
No I won't
do not respond to twitter threads
>ya’ll
Nothing makes me say “oh here we fucking go” more than hearing this at the start of a twitter post.
Cinemaphile is entirely made up of the bullying sponges in every friend group, to cope with the fact that they were incessantly made fun of and too chickenshit to retaliate they hide behind these ideas like 'everyone should be/used to be made fun of equally' so they don't have to confront the truth that they're just more hateable than most people
>not harm those already vulnerable.
All things considered, isn't Sandy the most well-off person in Bikini Bottom?
She's clearly rich as hell.
Also, I want to respond to this because I think its funny:
>You impacted yet, boy?
No, and lmao I bet you thought this was a real zinger. You must understand, as a black people, I know there's things worse than racist jokes. Trans people will learn this lesson eventually.
Are you seriously trying to trigger a black Cinemaphilener? Dude probably got called a nagger today in traffic. "I thought it came with a biscuit."
You want to know something even funnier? Dave Chappelle has been attacked more times for trans jokes than actual trans people have been attacked for his jokes.
F is for fags need to leave town
U is for you will never be a woman
N is for no survivors when you
It took until 2022 for some homosexual to remember this episode.
Wouldn't punching up be easy mode then?
What's the solution then? To whom should I make fun of if I wanted to be funny and not get cancelled?
People who punch up are already not funny
How do you make jokes without using the audience as part of the joke then?
You can't
Then how the fuck are you supposed to make jokes?
jokes?
You can make harmless jokes but they are not going to be funny
Then what's the point in trying to make jokes if they're not funny?
People pretend they are funny and give you money because they like the message; works for people like Amy Schummer.
Not him, but shared experiences are an easy form of comedy.
>punching up is not funny because.... I said so
>you can't make jokes without making fun of someone!
Go outside.
>The people who think all humor comes from tragedy are misanthropic nuts.
Tell me a funny joke about a positive experience and nobody suffers even the slightest misfortune.
>Tell me a funny joke about a positive experience and nobody suffers even the slightest misfortune.
Most puns.
The Aristocrats.
Fart jokes
People have to smell farts anon. That isn't pleasant except for fartfags.
Yeah, punching up humor is so good that homosexuals like you need to constantly be militant about it for other people to adopt it
Only here, where retards keep trying to defend unfunny shit that they only like because it's making fun of people they don't like. Nothing funny happens on this site anymore. You NEED everything to be about what you hate. There is no actual room for humor there.
take your meds
>mad
I'm not the one browsing a website I think it's unfunny
>thinks people browse this site for its jokes
Do you laugh when people say "fart"?
>takes Cinemaphile very seriously
good luck applying for janny dear anon
Wow, you said it again. Hilarious. You're so funny. You should go on stage and recite your Cinemaphile script and let me know how that turns out.
>mad
Wow. Clever.
Wait, but if any idiot can get a laugh if he makes fun of someone, doesn't that mean that idiot is still being funny? What you should have said is "If you use insults to make people laugh, you're not a comedian. Any idiot can make people laugh with insults".
easy =/= more effective
It won't get you anywhere.
>boy
Yup, anon's a mtf tranny.
>That's the easy way, the cheap way.
No, that's the best way.
>actual schizophrenic
If your entire routine is based around insults, you're not actually funny to begin with. Any idiot can get a laugh if he just makes fun of somebody.
wanna know how I know you were bullied in school?
I was the bully, that's how I know.
Ah, you are bad at telling jokes, got it.
What's funny then? Pun jokes? Jokes about yourself? Jokes about light-bulbs?
>Jokes about yourself?
Yeah, Rodney Dangerfield is the funniest man who ever lived and all he ever did was sets about himself.
Yeah but everybody aren't Rodney Dangerfield.
Insult comics are funny.
>You're not actually funny if you make people laugh
for an entire hour, nonetheless
I doubt any comedians you like are as funny as this
Mitch Hedberg was funnier when making fun of rice.
you didn't actually watch that, homosexual
Anon the video is older than you are, I've seen it before. It stopped being funny when robin williams stopped holding the mic. It started again when Robin opened his mouth and then stopped when he closed it again.
Stop sucking off a dead man
it's pathetic
Everyone in that video is now either dead or so washed up they might as well be. The humor was pretty dry and most people were tuning in for everyone but the guy who you think is peak comedy. That was your attempt at a gotcha for what "real" comedy looks like.
Have you never bantered with your friends before or what?
>with your friends
Different than some rando saying something hateful and a room full of people laughing about it.
>go to insult comic's routine
>hr is known for singling people out and making fun of someone's characteristics
>get offended when he singles you out and makes fun of your characteristics
You're the kind of person who gives away their credit card number at the promise of free stuff, aren't you?
Grow up.
Why are you a homosexual?
Copers will give you yous but your right, if you only have one routine it gets old really fast.
Those who can't take a joke, deserve to be mocked.
>Cinemaphile - COMICS and cartoons
Are there any good, living one-liner comedians like Dangerfield or Mitch Hedberg?
Jimmy Carr.
they're all on twitter
it's all about soapbox humour now
>131172071
The lack of awareness in this image is startling
>unironic comedy police
Comedy is not meant to be used as a motivator for revolutions
History would disagree. Quite a lot of times. Fuck it's almost required for them.
My point is more that true comedy doesn't protect people, if you think it should then it's because you believe you are the only party with enough power and influence to change society
>anons whose entire sense of humor is their collection of wojaks try to argue that south park is peak comedy because "they make fun of everyone"
Aw, someone is in the "joke police" phase.
Ah, to be young and dumb.
I've been here longer than you.
Cinemaphile used to have standards.
God, so much this. I feel like this meme finally hits.
No
>God so much this.
Please fuck off back to trannyland
>I've been here longer than you.
>Cinemaphile used to have standards.
What if somebody went on a full blown racist tirade? What if everyone in your town did it? What if they did it every day?
I'll ignore for a second that this is an insane hyperbole that's not at all reflective of reality. That's still not literally breaking my bones, I can always just leave the town. There's a variety of free ways my broke ass can up and leave literally everything behind and have some sort of housing and education, so I wouldn't have to put up with that. If anything, it'd make leaving easier if everyone in town just hated me.
The point is that if it's possible in a worst case scenario, then it's possible in other scenarios.
What does that even mean? I'm tempted to just call it a terrible point, but I don't think I even understand it. It reads like nonsense. We know racism is possible both as a worst case scenario and as a normal "guy called me a bad name" scenario, but one is clearly more extreme than the other, isn't it?
>What about these highly improbable things?!
Humans cause the majority of pain to other humans, and it's 99% preventable.
Christians are the worlds most prosecuted religious group, they face discrimination and violence every day in the middle east and africa due to islamic extremist, while israelites are the most privileged and well off, yet we all know what jokes get told and which not.
Texans are too easy to make fun of.
>Claim to be pro life
>Freeze to death
No wonder every slightly controversial topic devolves into an utter shit fling when half of the people on Cinemaphile can't even take or make a joke.
they dont cal it Cinemaphilemblr for nothing, only in this board you get homosexuals actually defending this rethoric
>decent joke should punch up,
Making jokes about yourself is punching down, but the only victim is yourself or anyone who seems to relate too closely and can't deal with it. It's decided that making jokes of yourself is cool, so obviously punching down isin't as absolutely wrong as people say it is.
Honestly joking about any group that isn't 1% is punching down and people do it all the fucking time, so these kind of weird takes just doesn't hold up.
>Sandy when Plankton says he is racist toward all land creatures
Remember that one episode where they made krabby patties illigal because they were "too good" and Mr Krabs essentially became a mafioso?
I'm extremely dissappointed by the utter lack of cock vore in this thread.
Sandy isn't fucking vulnerable though. She's a scientist who can always afford all the resources she needs to invent her new shit, and can beat quite literally everyone in Bikini Bottom to a pulp. She has devastated sections of the city when she's gone into heat before hibernation. There is no way to make fun of her without punching up given you are at risk of her stomping down on you afterwards.
bump.
>saved a bait thread from page 10
>first reply in an hour and thirty minutes
Man, fuck you.
Never listen to Moralists because they don't actually care about human suffering.
Clarence had amazing episode about comedy
>Children
>Wanting fart jokes
>Not jokes that are appealing to me
It's unbelievable how SJWs are incapable of finishing anything they watch.
And then people wonder "why would they cancel JB if he always loses in the end?" because they never get that far.
>Ya'll
Shit takes incoming!
>the year is 2065
>making jokes about someone or something results in castration and brainwash to watch family guy reruns
>replies: 349
>posters: 141
How thunk provoking
That's actually pretty standard. I just went through the catalog by reply count, and all the threads with more replies have similar ratios or even fewer people.
Jokes are just jokes.
People are assholes.
Yeah bro, nobody ever kills themselves or others because of "feelings", like dude wtf.
touch grass
D00d ebin
Bikini Bottom is hivemind
"Punching up" is just code for "waaaah, stop making fun of whatever I deem shouldn't be made fun of!"
It's got to be the most pussified thing ever. Comedy is about making fun of everyone and everything. Don't like it? Too fucking bad, it's just a joke. If you get mad about it, you're just making yourself an even bigger joke than whatever the original joke was.
Woah really show what you are
Okay. If you don't like my culture then don't come here. Simple as.
>and they need to be shamed into assimilation.
Has this ever worked with anything? Whites have been shamed for being white for a few years now, and the only thing we got for it was more school shooters.
What does this even mean? Also, I love how you didn't dispute the "white people are school shooters" part, its funnier if its just accepted as truth.
>rich
>intelligent
>privileged
>physically fit
>universally liked before and after this episode
How is this not punching up? SpongeBob is an incompetent fool making minimum wage at a fast food restaurant. He is regularly berated by those around him and this is one of the few times he is put in the spotlight.
A decent joke should be funny.
Comedy is not subjective
If a joke is the worst problem you have to deal with, you're probably not that vulnerable at all.
Twitter tranny's unironically dream about being writers and cartoonists when they can't understand basic points, messages, and storytelling.
That seems ironic that they couldn't grasp the basic concepts of fiction.
God i hate women
