>a prequel of a prequel about a character no one cared about wound up better than a show about OBI WAN KENOBI
How did Disney frick up so bad?
>a prequel of a prequel about a character no one cared about wound up better than a show about OBI WAN KENOBI
How did Disney frick up so bad?
Intentionally
what do we need a prequel about kenobi for we know how he dies
George already did Andor, it was called THX 90210
>How did Disney frick up so bad?
It's the DS9 Effect.
When the suits stop caring about a particular iteration of an IP, the people running that iteration can do whatever they want creatively and not worry about focus groups and micro-management.
And yet Kenobi was more successful.
They had no faith in Andor so there wasn't much oversight, same as The Mandalorian. Now that S1 was a success, the suits are going to meddle as much as humanly possible during S2 production, and it's going to be nigh unwatchable.
Why would you have ever expected a show about Kenobi to be good? We know he sat in Tatooine and did nothing of importance for 20 years. There was no way the show could've told an impactful story.
They should never have made the show. That’s the whole point isn’t it? They’re so creatively bankrupt that all they can think about is “hey remember this character??” And then they don’t know what to do with that character. None of their shows and movies have any plot or meaning at all lmao
Exactly, so they should've stuck with what they had, pre-ep 1 and clone wars arc, for obi wan besides creating whatever pozzed moronation we had to put up with.
Most people were excited to see vader, hayden, and ewan more than what the actual story would be about
You just don't know all that kino lost like tears in the rain.
Didn’t watch it + don’t care
Disney has killed star wars and marvel in a year. One year was all it took. It’s honestly impressive
>ON PROGRAM
i lost a lotta respect for ewan from this show
Imagine if he had just said no. They couldn't have made the show at all.
He should've said no, but he prolly broke and sold out. If Ewan was at least vocal (like Hamill) of the pozzed moronation, I'd still have respect.
Wasn't he one of the producers? Sounds like he just wanted an easy paycheck.
>executive producer
I wanna think that was done out marketing and the real shots were called by the girl bosses but time is showing otherwise.
You should have lost respect for him immediately when it was announced that he would return as Obi Wan
>my imagined Old Ben movie was better than the ObIwan show
>my Rise of Skywalker screenplay outline was better than the real movie
>my unfinished Indiana Jones 5 screenplay was better than the real movie
I need to start finishing these, just for extra smug satisfaction
>imagined
>outline
>unfinished
Even if he finished those projects, it's not like Bob Iger would come knocking on his door with a suitcase full of money. Be real.
>smug satisfaction
Apparently the Kenobi show had a very low budget for some reason
Didn't watch either. Haven't watched anything SW related since I watched the camprip of the last dumpsterfire movie and will continue doing so.
A real Human being,
and a real Hero.
Space National Socialist Boy meets Space National Socialist Girl.
A story as old as time.
I liked how everyone expected /ourguy/ to frick everything up but he ended up saving the day. Can't wait to see the incel-to-chad plotline continue in S2.
I watch for her.
Some nasty old hag israelite? Why? Looks like a teacher’s aid who kept you in for recess for talking while in line in the hallway.
>Smile.
Someone asked her to smile and she smiled? Isn’t that like, ultra sacrilidge for lefty cultists?
It's actually a good intense scene. You just need to take a break from your phone TikToks while watching it.
What makes you think I watch Disneywars or use social media other than this site we’re on?
Both sucked.
you didnt watch either.
Nope. And I don’t plan on it. They’re too shitty.
Their goal was to destroy the Disney and Ster Wars brand, two pillars of western culture and they succeeded. Both used to be something everyone, men, women, kids, all had in common but now both are just some some pedo-political bipartisan shitfights.
>Disney and Ster Wars brand, two pillars of western culture
The chud mindset laid bare. Cartoons are the only things of culture they consume
t. troony grooming an 8y/o on discord as we speak while watching Steven Universe
I dont watch cartoons, you should go to/co/
Unironically yeah. What’s your problem? Cultural icons have to be some ancient theist Zeus god Oddessy guy or a politician like Abe Lincoln or some shit?
>Disney and Star Wars brand aren't two pillars of western culture
Yes? What makes you a pillar of a culture? Think upbliterally any example.
Old Disney went 100x beyond whatever you just came up with.

GOAT television scene
Because no one fricking cared and, more importantly, because we know he dies in Rogue One (saving him down the line from being raped later) Yidsney wasn't able to israelite up the show and it became a good meta-analysis of what the frick it was like living in the Soviet Union.
>he dies
>(saving him down the line from being raped later)
Like Boba Fett, right?
I have rewatched it three times now and there is one thing I still don't get.
Why did they swap hats Ferris shuttle passenger ferry?
He thought the other hat looked better.
Imagine watching star wars past the age of 11. You're all moronic.
Andor isn't even good. It's only perceived as "good" because its contemporaries are even worse. That's it.
No, it's good. I said so and if I say it then it's the opinion you will all parrot in ten years then claim is the troon opinion in 15. Whatever your immediate reaction is to a piece of entertainment is irrelevant. Eventually, the majority opinion always aligns with mine.
I know these things because I am infallible on all matters related to entertainment.
No Imperial Intelligence waifu Isard domming the ISB b***h, no watch
GOAT
I like Star Wars and all but making Star Wars as some super serious morally grey spy drama sounds super gay and cringe to me. That's why I never watched andor
There was a little bit of a disconnect in some scenes, but it was few and far between. Most of the time it didn’t feel like Star Wars at all, and more like scifi 1984.
They will 100% shit up the next season.
the suits meddle, they think they are geniuses like Walt Disney, but instead they are only good at business they are not creatives. This leads to the execs actually hating real creatives, they are jealous, so they lash out and destroy their creation. It is insane.
ANOTHER Trandor thread.
I watch for hag-kino.
Oh, this one is easy. This was originally supposed to be a movie, but after the Sequels failed and Solo flopped, they got cold feet and Iger said "no more movies."
So then they retooled the script for a 2h movie into a 6+h series. Hence the massive, embarrassing amount of filler.
It's also the reason Ahsoka is so empty in anything happening. They're stretching a 1 season miniseries into 2 seasons + movie.
Damn, you’re technically right. Amazing how filler doesn’t feel like filler at all when it’s well written, well paced, and entertainingly acted.
Well the difference between the imagery of above and below is a woman director. For one.
It's pretty amazing anyone signed off on that chase scene. Why were they so dedicated to making it happen? To give Flea extra camera time? But someone planned it out to the cost of thousands of dollars, sat through all the motions, looked over final post-production, and their name is Deborah Chow.
Also looking into it this er... person was one of the showrunners

Not sure if he's a nepobaby or what his deal is because his record is mediocre to shit, but he's clearly got some sort of weird pull not related to talent.
