i worked at a local fast food chain and even in the busiest hours people don't ape out like our guy here, but this over the top acting is fine because it's a tv, and it's also fine to make fun of it

As someone who just started working full time as a wagie, absolutely fricking not. Finding honor or pride in a soul crushing job is a fricking cope because most people HAVE to work and therefore need to lie to themselves about it. There is no value in wasting 75% of your time at some gay job

I regularly work 65 hours a week and I have zero respect for these kind of "chefs" who only have a job because the food industry is the last chance for a convicted felon to find employment. They're dumbass frickups and think they're so cool because they're the only person out of their friend group to not have overdosed or gotten arrested again. Construction workers are good people not these kinds of service industry trash that this character exemplifies.

Whenever I see the wage cuck replies I take a little solace in the fact that these are the same people in the incel threads crying about how they have nothing, are miserable and just want some friends or a gf. Its even funnier seeing them get really angry when you offer genuine advice like "get a drivers license" or "get a hobby" don't let their smug replies fool you these homosexuals are genuinely miserable.

I've worked in a kitchen before. If the people are young, insecure, and feel like they have something to prove - it will be unbearable. If the staff are above the age of thirty, experienced and pleasant - it's a dream. In two years I got to experience both, and it left me with a burning disdain for my fellow younger men that remains to this day. Of course, I'm from a small town; that has its' advantages in this business. Honest work, no pretenses, just good people making excellent food.

I never understood the purpose of Cooking shows or 'restaurant life'.

You literally are basing your entire existence on convoluted recipes and food that people eat and digest within 24 hrs. It's about as special as choosing a job in making bathrooms.

Im a chef and the notion that the line is a "warzone" or that working in a busy kitchen is akin to causing PTSD is unbelievable fricking cringe.
Its hard work sure but exaggeration is moronic
