people are only saying its good because the last 2 were jigsaw and spiral. At least it broke the trend of each entry getting progressively worse. We're back to around saw 5 levels
that's true, those were pretty bad. spiral could redeem itself with a sequel that renders the first one completely pointless with a few flashbacks. i watched jigsaw for the first time recently and it feels like a decade ago. very very forgettable
i think the franchise could still potentially fit a genuinely great movie with the right talent behind it

I think this version has a few new cuts compared to the theatrical version. What I've noticed is there's a new angle for Valentina getting decapitated and Mateo it shows more shots of him actually drilling his skull I could just be imagining things but they did say the ratings boards required so little cuts for an R rating it surprised him so these aren't that drastic.

I saw this six times in theatres, Valentina's decapitation is the same. An unrated version of this movie does not exist, the theatrical version with the MPAA's cuts is the only version Kevin has ever submitted.
