>I would never rewatch
Succession is highly rewatchable because of how dense it is, important plot points are introduced and explained with rapid throwaway comments in the middle of other conversations.
Sure, it's strength isn't in the plotting it's in the dialogue and banter, but I've definitely gotten a better handle on things during rewatches. The first viewing is like an incredible fever dream.
should have been 5 seasons
the plot on season 4 was rushed as frick
but the actors were starting to look too old, specially jeremy strong and the guy that plays greg >zero rewatch potential
maybe true for seasons 3 and 4 but 1 and 2 are very rewatchable imo
>build the entire pilot around "chink tries to take over the company" >instantly drop it, have chink around as a background character who does nothing for like two seasons until he's just unceremoniously fired in a throw-away scene
uhhh
>build the entire pilot around "chink tries to take over the company"
It's called a pilot, zoomer, shows can change dramatically after the first episode. The Sopranos pilot is a completely different show.
>undisputed kino
The writing room fetish for the fat chick was so blatant I saw a random one off episode at a friend's house at his insistence and told him she would end up coming out on top. I don't even know what season it was. There was never any weight to the basic premise because the writers could not disguise their biases and as a result their favorite characters became flanderized and the rest turned into plot creating buffoons. Put another way, as the scope increased the humanity decreased. It lacks the roots to sell its fruit.
>and told him she would end up coming out on top
but she didn't
in fact, she became her mother
which was THE thing she was trying to avoid
and in contrast to the other siblings she is pretty much locked in for good >biases
kind of right
the whole point of the show was pretty much >the hungry ones win >nepo babies get fricked
which is a biased view, sure, but it happens often enough
>The writing room fetish for the fat chick was so blatant
Her entire can be defined as the side character for a cuck husband who ends up outplaying the entire family. This show is pretty chuddy if you have +100IQ
ultimate blue balls show. I loved it while it was on but once it was over i realized almost nothing actually happened. It's basically just the first season on a loop which fricking sucks because they did such a great job with setting up arcs for the characters.
It was great, but the finale was bad
Not because of the outcome but because the script was really subpar especially since they crammed the siblings reuniting and then reimploding in one episode for cheap thrills
i said the script not the writing, the writing made complete sense but the events were too crammed, all that meal for a king shit dragged on only to blow up as expected
I think the fact the whole season happens in barely a week put them in a corner for the wrap up
>build the largest media corporation in america >all your kids are spoiled brats who don't have any actual skills >end up dying on an airplane of a heart attack even after all you've done
Only somebody who wasn't rich and became rich through their own effort could appreciate it
If you're born rich the things you have when you're rich just seem normal to you
But if you spend your whole life getting rich you never get to appreciate any of it because you're too busy getting more rich and your shithead kids won't appreciate it
Lost all interest once Logan died - took me 8 months to watch the remaining episodes as I just didn't care anymore.
First two seasons were great, after that it just ran out of ideas and kept doing the same thing over and over - I like Skarsgard, but that whole plot fricking sucked
yeah, he had to die to make the plot work but it really sucked the air out, i agree.
and skarsgard had a few good scenes but was too timid in the role overall

this literally is the best tv show of all time
If you're a moron. Even with there only being a few seasons they are all repetitive as hell until the last one.
It was a very good show and I enjoyed watching it, but I would never rewatch. A show like Rome can be rewatched, that was incredible.

>Succession is highly rewatchable
no frick off
Meme show with zero staying power
It's a pretty straightforward show that was 70% comedy. Not a ton to discuss after it's over.
Desu. I liked it but i dont have any desire to watch it again
what if we just made the same season over and over
>dude rich people are awful
this and Yellowstone are the biggest midwit identifiers out there
>>dude rich people are awful
thats not the point of the show at all
should have been 2 seasons at most. lots of the same shit over and over. zero rewatch potential
should have been 5 seasons
the plot on season 4 was rushed as frick
but the actors were starting to look too old, specially jeremy strong and the guy that plays greg

>We never got Tom vs Kendall
What a fricking waste not having the two best actors just chew the scenery for a whole season.
>Armstrong has no idea how to finish the corporate takeover storyline
>"uhhhhh Sandy's dying of syphilis now and doesn't care anymore lol"
>He doesn't know
>build the entire pilot around "chink tries to take over the company"

Literally there to exemplify who *really* still controls the company
>build the entire pilot around "chink tries to take over the company"

Uh oh discord mousetrannies won't like this thread...........
They're already in here
Literally forgotten the second it ended
But enough about your life
It still hurts...
Any KenKillers still around?
No but us Greg-heads are still lurking.
Only tomcats remain
Do rich people really talk in reddit quips every other sentence?

they wrote her into being a total snake at the end and not in an "epic girlboss wins" way
I was very pleased with her being Tom's b***h at the end. Especially after the last season.

Greg scenes were unironically too painful to watch and made me dislike the show in general.
why would you identify with that slimy bastard ? just because he stutters ?
He represents the Cinemaphile self-insert

Another case of "I rooted who I thought was the main character, turns out he wasn't"
I rooted for Logan who was the main character.
Ken is the main character, he just doesn't win
Last season became boring as frick when they killed logan
I'm still salty with them killing off hogan after Sharpe's eagle
It was great, but the finale was bad

Is getting rich a waste of time bros
You tell me.
>Is getting rich a waste of time bros
yes
being rich however is great
That's what I mean
Only somebody who wasn't rich and became rich through their own effort could appreciate it

It's fricked up isn't it
The money spends.
Tomlette status = Intact
Greg Status = Broken
Is it really that bad to name your dog Blondie?
Yes
season 3 and 4 were shit
I'm so certain in it's status as a masterpiece that I have zero desire to rewatch it
Does this have a single main character or is just a bunch of characters with no favoritism
Ken is the main character, he's the eldest boy

You can't make a Tomlette without breaking a few Greggs
