Abigail is fun, very fast paced which is a rarity in horror even with its 1h40m length, has good & gory scenes/kills and doesn't take itself seriously. The effects also looked nice though I'm assuming it was all CGI.
Was actually a lot better than what I was expecting.
Will probably bomb though considering normies loathe fun horror or horror comedies and anything that's not 99% ghost jumpscare shit.
M3gan which I thought was cut from a similar cloth (but with a lower rating, R-rated cut was released later) was a success with normies, but that had an exceptional marketing campaign, and Chucky's show keeping doll horror alive probably helped too.
