I highly doubt the reviews of this are true, the trailer made it look both shit and unoriginal.
it's a fairly predictable plot but the girl who plays Abigail is great and it's a fun enough movie
I think the biggest red flag in the trailer was the way it introduced an ensemble cast that was so obviously just there to be killed off.

okay yeah that kind of makes sense i guess but why was actively trying to kill her if he was being mind controlled (and gus fring also wanted to kill her)
How does Frank keep his powers if Lambert died when Joey doesn't get her powers because Frank dies?
Yeah I think they overlooked that. But they could just explain it as Joey didn't fully turn yet, and Frank did, so killing Frank stopped her from turning.
Makes enough sense, I assumed they didn't have Joey vomiting a geyser of blood because it was enough for audiences seeing Barrera covered in gore.
i thought the difference between lambert/frank becoming full vampires and sammy/joey potentially becoming minions only was that the vampire had to give some of their own blood to the turnee (like how lambert cuts himself so frank can drink his blood, then the blood vomit happens while frank doesn't do this for joey, nor abigail for sammy)

she wants more of the candy. notice how joey, despite being a junkie, somehow runs out of her candy halfway through the movie. you would think being a professional and knowing her needs she would've packed enough for the whole 24 hour period.
and also, at the end i believe abigail says "see you around"? its not like joey is ever going to truly change her ways, so as long as she's still alive, abigail can have more candy ^_^
oh and also remember how her dad was gonna kill joey until he looked into abigail's eyes. maybe they were dilated and he knew their victims had some good shit on them? might as well keep the best supplier and lure her back some other time
Because it was all a game. She no longer wanted Lambert so she killed him and she was just fricking with Frank. It's the same as her being "locked" in the elevator. She was in control of everything.
Abigail controlled them turning. It's why Frank turned immediately and Sammy only when they were alone and Joey didn't.
