Bumping for interest. I wanted to get into it too. Is it more horror or is it more of a buddy cop-ish take on something like constantine? Because the latter is what I'm looking for.
3 parts cozy monster of the week kino, 7 parts homoerotic boy love / brother drama
and somewhere in there is a semi interesting overarching plot. I say this as someone who actually likes the show and has watched the first 6 seasons more than a few times.
Sometimes the show will beg you to withdraw your investment in it, sometimes it'll reel you back in.
Just started it last week OP I'm on season 2 and so far it really good. Only like 1 or 2 bad episodes for seaosn 1. It's like X-Files meets CSI it's fun and Sam and Dean are so fricking likeable. I think I might drop it after seaosn 5 cause I read the creator wanted it to end on Season 5 but CW knew it was popular and milked it. So far I'm liking it, it's thriller/horror/Drama. Sometimes more horror, sometimes more drama, sometimes more comedy.
Who else hated Ruby in season 3? I'm only on season 4 episode 2 now but I was so glad to see Kate Cassidy go. I fricking hate that actress and her face like you wouldn't believe.
Not guy but I was born in 1996 - so by some metrics I am a zoomer and some I'm not. Either way, I wasn't born in like 2000 so I have a better memory of the world before it truly went to shit and became clown world and I have only started watching Supernatural. It's an interesting time capsule too, almost like how the Raimi Spider-Man films are. A pre-woke yet, at the time, seemingly post-racial tensions largely white America where fun in film and tv shows was allowed.

this but watch the first 2 seasons on dvd(or dvd rip) because the music rights expired and the soundtracks are a big part of the kino.

Pretty good for the first 5 seasons. You can stop watching there or accept that each season after that will be hit or miss.
Depends if you like supernatural stuff like werewolfs, demons, vampires etc. If not it could be pretty cringe.
A show that was made for young men but somehow ended up being more popular for women.
the family business
One really good season followed by a slow, undeniable decline as they get exponentially worse until i stopped watching around 7 or 8.
shit series for teenagers

X-Files for low-IQ zoomers
>zoomers
It started in 2005. If for whatever reason you started watching it as early as 12 years old, you would be 29 now.
