this part was terribly jarring
it's like watching a stand up comic divide a well written set up into 8 parts each separated by a loud abruptly placed BAZINGA
I think the producers are friends with imagine dragons so they are simply there for the sake of being there, it's honestly difficult to recommend the show to people because some of the music (including the fricking intro song at the start of every episode) is so utterly awful
>visuals are ok for me.
keep in mind that each frame has meticulous attention to detail; almost every second of screentime could be turned into a screenshot or clip to showcase arcane's visuals, the entire show looks cherrypicked in a good way, short snippets can't do it justice because the entire show looks like that
the only odd aspect of the visuals for me is the way their mouths move when they talk, it's a bit odd but not very noticeable
Netflix has a couple of shows featuring Imagine Dragons. Like Sweet Home, which is a Korean horror show. I think it's just that Imagine Dragons rides the fence on being a band that a lot of people want test music for, while also being a big enough legitimate band. Their Radioactive song was originally for the Spiderman stage play as test music, but they liked it enough to make it something more
i don't see why the storytelling would be mocked that much: classic and strong, nothing fancy.
the ending of this first episode was promising.
those nasty robbers and criminals though.
since when /tv does promote crime?
I really love the storyline for the kids, before Vi goes to prison. They are obviously talented kids, trying to find their place in a complicated world, & when Vander gets kidnapped they each play to their strength bonding as a team, you see them each start to succeed & come into their own, the guy lockpicking, the big kid demolishing a wall, Vi punching dudes, it's all coming together...
& Powder/Jinx just explodes it to pieces. Literally. Just kills two of her friends & fricks everything up right at their moment of triump. It's great, frick that b***h
It was very refreshing that we didn't get the cliche Jinx redemption arc that we would have gotten in your average lazy video game tie in. Vi and Jinx have their little moment of understanding but ultimately Jinx is who she is now. There's no going back. Her frick up and Vi's handling of it all those years ago mattered. It's permanent.
there's basically no cartoon for children.
there is good storytelling or bad.
this one's classical.

The first episode felt like watching a decent Pixar old movie until people started dying. I had no idea this had anything to do with LoL
Mediocre story telling, great characters, and some flashy cgi.
Let me check:
mediocre storrytelling: US
terrible music: US
cool visuals: France
ok.
i've heard it won a lots of prizes, that said.
cool visuals with music that goes from the best thing you've ever heard to imagine dragons between scenes

mm ok heard it,
god damn awful.

Curse this show for making me like an imagine dragons song
d'oh! poor you!
Overrated zoomer garbage. How do people sit through this shit?
they're accustomed to video game writing and video game acting so the bar's pretty low
Distilled shit
Misery and everyone trying to be your enemy

HUMMINA HUMMINA HUMMINA
The characters underneath the troonslop visuals are compelling and rather unique.
Feels like it's from 2005 culturally speaking.
Another show that is better experienced by watching it through multiple reactors on boobtube. Shit cannot stand on it's own.

It's a cartoon for children. Redditors like it because they're still children mentally.
there's basically no cartoon for children.

this one's classical.
lol spoilers.
well doesn't matter.
two episodes in now.
when does it get good?
The writing feels like it was taken from a YA novel. It's bad.
there are lots of things to read with your eyes, and not from the lines.
plus it's a show, don't tell.
it's satisfying.
>two episodes in now.
>when does it get good?
It's good right at ep 1.
Watch until the end of ep 3 just to be sure and if you still don't like it at that point, drop it.
best looking animation in a decade, that shits on any efforts by Disney to blend 2d and 3d
story is also nice, i like that you dont need to know shit about the games moronic lore
